First impression was Wow. I have never seen better maintained aquariums. The whole store was immaculately clean, the lighting was really cool, and the assoiciates were on the ball. There were probably 5 other customers, all with associates, but I was still greeted immediately.They have approximately 50 aquariums, none of which appeared overpopulated. And did I say clean? They were cleeeeean.They had species of fish I never even knew existed, just browsing their selection doubled my knowledge of saltwater fish haha.The associate that came over was fun to talk to, and he tried really hard to change me from freshwater to salt, to no avail. Even though I dont own a saltwater aquarium, im sure thinking about adding one now.

Reef Collective has been such an important part in my journey to saltwater. They are extremely helpful and always willing to answer questions without making me feel like I should know something. The reefing world is so filled with confusing conflicting information and its good to have them around to help sort through the answers. They have came out to visit my tank twice to check on it when I am freaking out thinking I am doing something way wrong. They have good prices and amazing sales. They are quick to get something if I need it. I know they use good protocols to quaranteen the fish before they send them out to be sold. I keep all my biz with reef collective and love supporting a local company.

I haven’t been able to step foot in store yet, but the online store and ordering process is an absolute breeze. I ordered 2 turbo snails as I’m having an algae problem and they were willing to deliver absolutely free to Edina. Any company that is willing to go the extra mile for me (especially on a $6 purchase), will have a customer for life. Super excited to come in store to pick out some corals soon!

I really love this place. Not only are the staff friendly but their choices of live stock and corals are great! I honestly havent been to a place I love more than this place. Definately a favorite and I recommend it to anyone who is in the fish hobby like my husband and I are.

Surprised at how affordable their prices are. Very knowledgable and steer you in the right direction. Being a newbie, I dont want to be overcharged and set up for failure. Very helpful and wish I would have found them sooner.

I went in last week to get a couple fish and corals for my very first saltwater tank. They were very helpful and I came home with a clown fish pair and 7 corals. They are all doing amazingly great since I have brought them home!! They even sawed off the frag plugs for me so they were easier to place and glue down. This place is amazing and I will definitely be back! 5 stars!

Great place, staff, and livestock

This is a great shop. Clean tanks and friendly staff. The best part is they have clear and competitive pricing. There is nothing i hate more than LFSs that you need to ask for the price on every item and they seem to make up a price on the spot. This is likely my new go to LFS.

This place is amazing. They only have saltwater fish and corals which is amazing. Their prices are way better than any other place. They have huge bubble tip anemones for only $80! There are so many different types and colors of corals too! Highly recommend!!

They had a lot of cool and impressive coral. But I felt swarmed by the employees having four people talking to me by the time I made it to the frag tank; there was also a lot of pressure to buy to the point I felt like I was standing in a used car dealership instead of a LFS. Once the employees started talking amongst themselves, I used it as my chance to slip away and leave. It was my first time here, and I was impressed by the stock, but I dont know that Id ever go back.

The staff is amazing! We came in today for the first time and the person working was very friendly with not only my husband and myself but with our 3 year old who wanted to look at everything! The guy followed our son around showing such much enthusiasm and excitement as him. He definitely went above and beyond!

If youre looking for a good selection of fish/coral, definitely worth adding to the list. Theyve got their quarantine methods figured out and their pricing is competitive. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates of what is coming in!

I recently went to this store for the first time and was immediately impressed. The store looks practically brand new and was established somewhat recently from what I heard. Both the fish and tanks look extremely clean and healthy, but I was more focused on the corals on this particular trip. Their corals included a wide selection, wallet friendly prices, and some rare ones as well. I was helped by Zach after he gave me some time to look around (not sure if he was the owner but was friendly and knowledgable). After getting a feel for where I was in the hobby he suggested a few things and gave me plenty of time to make my selections. Overall, this was a really great store and I look forward to coming back in the near future. The only improvement I would suggest would be to increase the time they are open during the week (perhaps a summer hours sort of thing).

Great store and staff! Its fun seeing the progress and store taking shape. I like the organic growth plan. Bring stuff in as they determine what customers needs are vs trying to guess and bring in a bunch of stuff people dont necessarily want. This is how they can keep prices way down. Its also really nice that their hours are flexible, someone is usually always there and more then happy to accommodate people outside of posted hours.

They were very helpful and everything looked nice in-store and under the lights, but when I got home and checked out the frags I got, they were covered with a multitude of pests. Aptasia, vermatid snails, and tiny feather dusters all over the frag plug but also in between zoa polyps. Now I always expect to get some pests, and try to prevent as much as possible, but this was over the top, especially for the price paid. Very disappointed and I will not be going back to this reef shop.

This store is fantastic and is run so smoothly by Zack and staff. Not only is their customer service superb their quality of corals and fish ranging from beginner to really collector stuff is top notch and at such an affordable price. After a pretty disappointing trip to New Wave Aquaria I was curious to see if they had a quarantine procedure and the amount of effort and care they have for they fish is what sets this store aside. They quarantine for 2 weeks with Chloroquine Phosphate, General Cure and Prazi Pro! Happy to see a store that is taking all the right steps to bring the best quality fish and corals to reefers.

I stopped into just look around and the staff was super friendly. I am in the process of researching a saltwater tank and they were more than happy to answer all my questions. Zack was very friendly and helpful. It was also a very clean and well maintained store.

“Dinoflagellates!”Be cautious, I paid a visit in April, 2019. I was looking to buy some corals. Upon observation of the frag tanks, I am in disbelief how dirty the frag tanks were, algae, organic matter, and poor water quality. I have always had a positive view of this place being top notch, apparently I was wrong. How could anyone sell corals in such a state like this one. More observation, I immediately notice a familiar algae, Dinoflagellate! I informed the staff if they were aware of Dinoflagellates being present in the frag tanks, they bluffed it off, and ignored my questions. Another staff member wasn’t even sure, as he admitted being novice in the reef hobby. (Poor customer service, and inexperienced staffs). I verified they are indeed Dinoflagellate from my experiences. They are brown, snotty-like and air bubbles! Do some research, because you do not want to introduce dinoflagellates in your tank!
