Dez was very kind and gracious. Enjoyable ride with beautiful landscape on their property. Even saw some friendly deer during the ride.

We had a great time! We rode horses and practiced skeet shooting. Misti was fantastic and very helpful through everything. What a great day! Would highly recommend for a new adventure, for any skill level.

The ladies at Southern Trails were fantastic, kind, and understanding to our large family. The kids had a blast horseback riding, throwing axes. and hitting targets with their bow and arrows. 11/10 would recommend and will definitely be back! Thank you!!

My husband had planned for us to go in March for our anniversary but due to things going on with COVID, it had to get postponed. We really enjoyed it, and it was so relaxing to get out and enjoy some fresh air with Mississippi and Bear, (our horses). Misti was great and so helpful during our ride with the horses, thanks again! I would highly recommend coming here, we’ll be coming back for sure.

Awesome experience! Ive gone on a lot of trail rides before and this one was my favorite. Beautiful scenery, lots of wildlife and the horses were extremely well trained! Cali was our trail guide and she was amazing!! Very fun, great conversation and knowledgable :) The barn and property was very well maintained! We can wait to go back for our next ride

We did our company team building outing with the great folks at Southern Trails and had an absolute blast. The staff and ownership were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate our party. The property is beautiful and the activities were exactly what we were looking for. We took the kids today to ride the horseback trail ride. Awesome Customer Service from Missy and our guide, Elaine. The kids had a blast and the horses were awesome too!! We will be going back!!

We had a great time horseback riding at Southern Trails! This was our kids first time riding. Misti showed them how to handle the horses and they were comfortable before we even started on the trail. The trails had different terrain, hills, and open spaces. Well definitely be bringing friends back to ride!

We loved our experience with Southern Trails! We brought our whole fam. We have two girls 12 and 9 and a boy who is 10.This time we did archery, skeet shooting, and ax throwing. Even though we didn’t have much experience, the staff was very helpful and led us through everything we needed to know to look and feel like pros out there! Even our youngest daughter was confident with the bow by the time we were done and felt very accomplished after hitting the targets. So fun!The ax throwing was great, it took a bit of practice but my son hit a few bullseyes. My husband and I tried skeet shooting. The hubs is much more familiar with it than I but the instructions were great and I felt comfortable shooting. I actually hit one! They provided ear plugs which was nice.We will give the trail riding a try next time. If you’re looking for something different to do with your family or friends this summer, check it out, we loved it.

Enjoyed the ride. Was surprised and happy to see that when you book a ride its for your party only. Not on of those places where they get as many people as possible into a ride and then nose to tail you around their place. Trail was a little cramped in places but not enough to be a problem. My 4 year old rode and she had a great time thanks to the attentive guides whole literally led her horse for her the entire time. Definitely recommend.

We had so much fun on our trail ride with Misti as our guide. I got to ride Whiskey who was wonderful and very understanding of me a person who knew nothing of horseback riding. Misti showed us how to control our horses and stay safe in just a few minutes and we were off on our ride. We found the views to be amazing and the ride was fun and even relaxing. Amazing horses and even more amazing views. Rode Bear and he was the most well behaved and well groomed horse. Misti, our tour guide, was super friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about going horse back riding and would love to revisit!

The ride was so fun!!! My friend and I have experience with horses. So we got to ride horses that were matched to our level. Great conversation with the guide. We all enjoyed having girls talk and talking about home. She also told us where we should eat afterwards and it was amazing. Would definitely come back on our next vacation out here. This is definitely the perfect place for a fun ride.

I took my two daughters ages 5 and 10. They both loved it. They were able to groom the horses and get to know the horses before riding them. It was a spectacular experience for them! Misti was an awesome guide. She was very knowledgeable about the horses which helped me trust we were in good hands. Very sweet and kind young lady. The horses were beautiful and well taken care of. We had a lovely time on our trail ride - as two total novices to horseback riding we were shown the ropes beforehand, and the trail was tailored to our level of skill. Our horses Whiskey and Mississippi were beautiful, as was the scenery, and our host was warm and gracious. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a laid back adventure in the hill country!

We had an amazing morning riding horses, as well as doing archery and axe throwing! The horses, Camanche, Whiskey and Mississippi were so sweet and gentle. Misti and Zach were incredible hosts. Highly recommend. It was great to get out of the city and have this be an awesome end to our vacation.

The service was amazing and the horses were very well trained. The southern hospitality went beyond our expectations. We were provided with everything we would need for a ride through the trails. We were offered water, sunscreen, and bug spray above all other services. Our guide was friendly, hospitable, and considerate. Southern Trails has been by far one of the best horse riding experiences we’ve ever had.

Excellent experience, such a lovely lady. The horses are very well cared for. The weather was amazing and we really loved every minute of the ride.

This was for sure one of the best trail ride experiences ever! I had such a great time with Misti and Cali. They were so helpful and kind. The trail was so pretty, so peaceful and so fun! We walked through some water and even saw a baby deer! I enjoyed it so much and can’t wait for next time!!

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday to ride and she was amazed and enjoyed our riding. Our instructor (the owner) was great and so kind! And they had the best rates.

Amazing horses, amazing guides, amazing views, and an amazing time. Had so much fun here. The horses were well trained and never gave me trouble. Trails were well cut and it was never short on really awesome views. Cant wait to come again.

Took my daughter Vanity here for her birthday today and she said it was the best birthday present she ever had. Misty and Cali where awesome and the horses there where well trained. This was our first time riding and the ladies explained the basics on how to ride and steer the horses. I would recomend this place to my friends and anyone who reads this review. Great place to ride! Im an experienced rider so trail riding places are usually boring for me but they have what they call a Rodeo Ride and it was so FUN!!! After we took the trail ride we went into the arena and I got to run around the barrels and chase the cows around. So great! I highly recommend this ride!

My family was visiting me in Austin for Mothers Day weekend and I wanted to take them on an authentic horseback riding experience. Ive personally ridden quite a few times, and my goal was to find a company who would let us unleash the horses and do more than a trail walk. After calling several companies in New Braunfels and Gruene, I decided on Southern Trails’ Rodeo Ride, which was the perfect experience that combines a beautiful, windy and slightly hilly trail ride followed by an arena barrel riding session. We all got our horses up to a trot on several sections of the trail, and my more adventurous family members ran the horses around the barrels during the arena session. Our guides, Misty who owns the business, and Callie, who is an experienced rider, were amazing guides and taught is a lot about riding which boosted the confidence of the less experienced in our group. Over all, this is a legitimate 5-star experience and I will definitely book with them again. Thanks, Southern Trails!

Only been in TX for a little visiting a good friend of mine we just came from southern trails and this place really top off my experience here love the place the trails was great horses beautiful the people friendly as soon as you pull up to the gates you already feel welcome definitely coming back on my next visit
