The Gallery of Iconic Guitars is so worth the trip. Its truly amazing to see so many different guitars in one place. The collection is very comprehensive. Considering the fact that Gibson shut down their factory where you could truly get your hands on a splendid guitar, this is a great second option (Now a first - Thanks Gibson for nothing!) GO VISIT! Its a must see in Nashville.
This was a wonderful experience! Friendly staff. Beautiful guitars. There were even a few guitars that they allowed us to play.
Incredible collection. Also are able to play some vintage guitars the average person cant find or afford.
Had goose bumps during the whole visit. Not all guitars are available to play, but there are a select few that are. If you are a guitar geek, go there and be amazed!!!
This is a great iconic place to see the evolution of the guitar and mandolin. The students that monitor the place are very knowledgeable. If you like music or guitars this is the place to be.
This isnt was the kids thought it was going to be. My husband and I enjoyed it. I think they were thinking it was gonna be guitars played by famous people, when it was actually well perserved guitars and mandolins and their history. This is a neat place to visit for any guitar lover.
Lots of vintage Martin, Gibson, and Fender guitars to see..nice collection..worth the 5 bucks to see!
The GIG is a terrific little nugget to visit if u like seeing a vintage guitar collection. The collection is very nicely displayed and they have a 1930 Gibson and 1940 Martin that you can play. The room was supervised by Belmont student Joseph and he was very pleasant and enjoyed talking about music. A visit here will likely take 30-60 minutes depending on your level of interest. I posted several pictures.
Located on the grounds of Belmont University and within the Lila D. Bunch Library is the Gallery of Iconic Guitars, so its not a self standing building but a space within the library. Now, Im not a huge fan but if you are in-store for a treat as you will enjoy this well designed space that showcase the collection of guitars. The displays and layout are well thought out and they also have an attendant to answer any questions you may have. Most delightful is that The Gallery is free and you can probably see it all in 15/30 easily. But again, no cost.TIP: Right next to the Gallery of Iconic Guitars is the Leu Art Gallery (FREE also) its small but only a few steps away, you might as well.
Very impressed with the museum. Guitars, mandolins, and a couple of banjos. Nothing behind glass. They have a couple of guitars that can be played. Friendly knowledgeable attendant.
Cool exhibit. Well worth the $5 per person. Small but quaint with a few guys picking guitars while we checked it out.
Great place for people that love guitars. Tour was excellent (we did the vault tour).
Loved the amount of guitars present, but thought the museum would be larger or more interactive.
What an amazing gem to stumble on.
And they even have some acoustics you can play!
Pretty fun to take a cruise through here
Nice place.
