Great bar when Covid isn’t killing people. They tell you to take your mask off when you come in. Too many people and no one is socially distancing. Bartenders were wearing their masks off their face. Don’t recommend if you’re trying to be safe.

Great crowd great service. awesome talent. I am moving to the area from northeastern Ohio. this is my first night in the area and I figured I would spend it in Nashville. Amazing bar and karaoke. there is a beautiful young lady that sang Tennessee whiskey and if she only knew what that song means to me she would have more meaning for that song. she did an amazing job and I am so proud to have heard it on my first night in Nashville. If anybody could guide her to my profile or tell me who she is so that I might tell her thank you for helping me on my journey of finding out who I really am, I would greatly appreciate it

I dont know if its just because theyve redone printers alley, but I was very surprised for the price of a beer. Got a PBR and it was $5, and they had yuengling listed as an import? Other than the overpriced and wrong labeling, the atmosphere was very energetic. Never a dull moment, but it did seem to be almost over capacity. Lots of people bumping into each other which led to drinks being often dropped. And it was uncomfortably warm in there.

It was ok. I was in Nashville and went out looking for karaoke within walking distance of my hotel.Found this place online and it was ok. The KJ was awesome but the crowd was kinda bro-ish and loud. So it really put me off. I left without singing. But u understand customers arent the bars fault.

Before I start my review, I must point out that I have been having fun with karaoke from California to Massachusetts, from Virginia, Pennsylvania to Nashville since 1990.2- Ive also experience in doing concert security (Working amidst literally THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of people each time I worked.3- FIRST, I must respond to a review by C WAG whos review was made 10 months prior to mine. There are SOME people who will do their best to make things sound as bad as possible when they do not understand why a situation does not come around their way. Also, Prior to coming to Ms. Kellis, I was a regular at AJS on Broadway for about 2 years. The GENERAL MANAGER, whos name is Matt, has a problem and is making that place look bad to both EMPLOYEES (Several who have quit because of Matt) and CUSTOMERS, Regulars and TOURISTS. There are details that I will not share at this time, unless speaking directly with Ms. Kelli. As for Ms. Kellis ESTABLISHMENT, the staff is very friendly and attentive. I share chit chat and jokes with all the staff that has gotten to know me. I have NEVER had a bad moment with any of the staff.. EVER!!The only problem I have is that many times there is RAP, and I HATE rap. But that is MY problem.Upon walking to the bar, the bartenders know my drink and most times have it on the bar before I even get to it.Otherwise, I highly recommend Ms. Kellis. I feel highly respected and enjoy myself each time I come.Usually a great crowd and resposive when I sing songs like Mountain Music by Alabama, Train Train by Blackfoot, Takin Care of Business by BTO.Lol, sorry for the lengthy comment.

Miserably hot! Didnt even want an alcoholic beverage it was so hot. Poor selection of songs. Trendy crowd and was hopeful it was going to be better. Few karaoke bars in downtown Nashville. Disappointed and left after about 45 minutes, maybe 5 songs. Girls with us wanted to sing, but did not see anything good in the menu. Only knew 1 of the songs others sung while waiting.

Visited last Friday night. Our group of 6 had a great time until the bartender with the long straight blonde hair charged us $56 for 3 drinks. When I laughed at her she tried to justify it. Turns out the prices vary by bartender and customer, we realized we had all been charged different prices for the same drinks, so be careful, especially if they think you are drunk. We left and had a lot of fun at another karaoke bar around the corner. There are plenty of other fun places to spend your money in Nashville, I wouldnt waste my time here.

We got up to sing karaoke, but when we can back, all our drinks had bed cleared at the table we were at and were forced to buy new ones. What a rip off! Seemed like a scam to get you to spend more money. It was fun as a one-time spot but I dont think Id frequent here regularly.

Beware: If you have a real ID, military ID too, are 23 years old and with 10 other friends also graduating from a Vanderbilt master program, your party STILL may be “too close” to 21 for Ms Kelli to serve you. Ms. Kelli herself didn’t want to serve us because we were “too close” to 21, their ID scanner was broken (despite the fact that someone in the party had a military ID as well), and she said she had an early morning the next day and didn’t want to “deal” with us because they’ve had problems with underage customers and we were just too close. I’ve been once before too, and both times they randomly check IDs when you’re in the bar—not at the door. If they are so concerned with serving 23 year olds, you’d think that they’d have a tight watch on who’s coming into the bar in the first place. This was also on a Tuesday night when the place was dead, and we just stopped in for a few drinks and karaoke. I know it sounds like I’m making this up, but honestly I couldn’t if I tried. After that encounter, we were happy to leave and patronize another bar instead. Ms. Kelli herself did a great job of ostracizing locals. Alan Jackson’s down the street has fabulous karaoke too with friendly staff. I’ll never give Ms. Kelli’s one dollar of my money, and you shouldn’t either.

Super fun little hole in the wall in Printer’s Alley. Dark and smoky little dive, but it makes for a big amount of fun. They’re open later than most places and the staff is always really friendly... and the drink prices are totally reasonable - which isn’t common down in the Broadway area. Love this place for a night out with friends and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to get out, but not necessarily have to deal with all the tourists. Love this place!

All the meanwhile we watched people get called up at least two or three times in a row. I get that Im not a female. I get that Im a little bit older than your target audience. I did enjoy the karaoke however I just wanted to get up and sing and I felt that I kept getting bumped for whatever reason

Thank you for the response. I cant give an accurate review of the inside, because the security guard would not let a member of our group in so our whole party left. The girl he wouldnt let in was the only reason we were there. It was her 30th birthday and she had been to a Christmas party there the week before and loved it. We came back (my husband and I) along with her cousins and parents (a real wild bunch...) at maybe 9 oclock at the latest? He let everyone in, but told her she was swaying too much. I understand not wanting to let a drunk person in your bar, completely understand the liability that would create. But.. she wasnt drunk? Not even close to it? We were with her family and had walked all the way from Jason Aldeans where we had dinner.. so maybe he saw her fixing her shoes or something and was confused? But when her dad spokes the guard the guard said she had to hold on to (then pointed to her husband) when she was walking in just to stand up... Also makes no sense because her husband was walking in with her cousin at the back of our group? She walked in with me.. and was definitely not holding on to me. Needless to say... We were all upset and asked to speak to the owner. He then kicked us out. Never let us speak with management. Even her mom and dad were there backing her up? It was insane. I guess he wasnt expecting there to be a sober person in the group to write a review since he was convinced she was drunk? Well we left and went to Lonnies at which point she was upset and tired and her and her family decided to leave. Seriously broke my heart. After that we made the mistake to try and go, however the guard remembered my husband from earlier and wouldnt let us come close to coming back in. Its fine, wont try again dont worry. I appreciate the response and its nice to know the security guard isnt the owner because he sure acted like it when he wouldnt let us speak to anyone else. Sorry for the rant, but thats a more detailed account and just to say I cant actually review the food / karaoke situation. Only the rude and awful excuse for a bouncer at the door.

Left my credit card there last night. Went back to get it this morning. Bar was closed, but the owner had left her cell phone number on the bars answering machine. We called it, she actually answered (this definitely would not have happened back home!) then called someone who was inside cleaning the bar to get them to bring my card out. Super nice lady.Unlike the other bars around downtown that were filled with pretentious hipsters and overdressed tourists, this place was spacious, well air conditioned, friendly, inexpensive, and full of laid back folks and friendly bartenders clearly from another time.Music was a very diverse selection too. Not 100% country. Its worth heading down the alley for this place.

My group of friends and I were having a good time here. When everyone got up to do karaoke on the stage in front, our black male friend started doing the Beyoncé Single Ladies dance with the crowd . He was just having fun and wasnt in anyones personal space when a white male patron struck him, deliberately and unprovoked. Of course our friend was confused and slapped back.Security immediately came over and escorted our friend and the rest of us out of the bar. When asked why we were being kicked out, security told us that our friend attacked someone. I understand having a zero-tolerance policy for violence, but they would not acknowledge that he was not the instigator of the confrontation and there was no attempt to confront or expel the other patron. Its hard not to feel like this was a case of racial discrimination against our mixed-race group in a predominately white establishment. The fact that the aggressor was not punished while we were expelled says a lot about the businesss attitude toward certain customers. We will not be coming back.

At first was a cool place but the dj running the karaoke absolutely ruined it. My boyfriend and I put our names in for songs at the same time. My boyfriend went a couple of songs later and my turn kept getting pushed further and further down the list behind people that had just got there. I went up ~30 minutes later to tell him to strike my name cause I was done and leaving. He then says Im up next and proceeds to make an announcement saying- hey if it seems you keep getting bumped down the list its because new people come in and drop $20s in his tip jar. Itll be the last time I go to that bar and Ill make sure my friends dont waste their time there either.
