Point Judith Fishermans Memorial

Such a beautiful location. Drove past many times but never knew what it was. Finally took a look this past weekend and was amazed with the views, memorial and overall design.

Was very nice & peaceful. We made some art (fun fun).

Very nice little place off the beaten path. Plenty of parking, but the restrooms are portable type and looked pretty disgusting. There was a fairly strong fishy smell here. Walk up the steps to the grassy terrace for a great view.

Stunning views of the ocean and a fantastic Rhode Island gem that doesnt ever seem to be crowded whenever Im there. Granted the last time I was there it was 3 am. There were a bunch of storms roughly 50 miles off the coast but despite the distance, the lightning was pretty cool to watch for a little bit.

Relaxing place .ok go to aunt carries pick up a fish and chips and sit by this beautiful view.when Youre belly is full take a nap. serious take a ride down here you wont regret it.

What a great little local secret. Ive been in RI for the last 20yrs and never knew of this area. Glad we know of it now!Cons: No bathrooms, minimal parking and lots of college kids drinking.Pros: Much quieter than the main beaches, other things to do from just laying/swimming at the beach like the rock getty, stairs for the view and the tide pools.

Powerful place. Please be kind and respectful for those who have lost someone.

I love this place because it’s the best spot on mainland RI to catch a sunset. You can see the entire sky which is just breathtaking. People also love to fish here, and it’s a great place to go for a beach day with young kids because there aren’t big waves at the beach area. It’s also fun to watch the Block Island Ferry as it goes by. Overall a great place to come to year round, day or night.

Such a beautiful place to visit

Beautiful and respectable place that honors those lost at sea. The lookout is a great place for a 360° view of the lighthouse as well as the bay area.

Great 360 view of Point Judith. Particularly spectacular dawn and dusk spot to watch the sun rise or set. The memorial is lovely and visitors often leave displays of pretty shells and flowers along the top. Shares parking with the nearby fishing area that has bathrooms.

Beautiful views! The jetty and beach were nice. We were lucky to watch a harbor seal playing by the jetty while we were there. Free parking.

If you like watching waves, this is the place for it. We drive down there whenever there is a storm nearby. There is also an interesting crunching noise as the waves push the small rocks around below the upper level park. At the lighthouse parking lot nearby you can also watch surfers when the surf is up. When the water is calmer fishermans memorial AKA Camp Cronin is also good for off shore fishing. There is also a beach there with no pet or cooking restrictions.

This place made me speechless. From the sunsets to the many spiders in the rocks... but over all best place Ive been ever

Beautiful and serene area to fish, swim, walk or just sit!

Every time I go to Connecticut/Rhode Island, I stop at Point Judith. I absolutely love this place. Not much to do except take in the views

One of my favorite places to sit and look out over the water. A pretty quiet spot that mostly only locals know about.

Bring swim shoes if you go into the water. Lots of rocks. Most beautiful place!

This place is a RI treasure ~ wish visitors would respect it, too many times we witnessed enormous amounts of trash thrown around.Please leave it clean ~ pretty Please ♡♡♡♡

DOG PARADISE RUNNING FREE, ALL GETTING ALONG SO HAPPY, SPLASHING, CHASING FRISBEES!IF YOU DONT LIKE DOGS SKIP THIS BEACH!IT IS A SMALL BEACH AWAY FROM CAR TRAFFIC DOGS CANT GET LOST .PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF FRESH WATER AND SHADE FOR YOUR PETS AND BAG POOP. TAKE GARBAGE WTH YOU PLEASE IT WAS PILING UP LAST YEAR.WE WANT TO KEEP OUR BEACH DOG FRIENDLY SO IF YOURS IS NOT PLEASE TAKE HIM OFF HOURS

Great place to take in a sunset or the view of the Point Judith light. Lots of fishermen there so Ill assume its good for fishing.It also has a neat geologica feature where there are large numbers of very well rounded rocks on the beach thatve been smoothed by wave action over the millenia.

Beautiful memorial with good views of the lighthouse. If youre feeling adventurous, bring a flashlight and try to find the hidden bunker under the memorial!
