Nice live jazz band. Very romantic evening. Our server was very attentive and friendly. They gave us a FREE huge portion of cheesecake with blueberries for my birthday celebration. The only thing I would like to see improved was their wine list. Not very many high-end wines to choose from... Just a few mid-priced ones that I already have in my cellar. Their bourbon, whiskey and skotch list was pretty impressive (and Im not much of a hard liquor drinker)!

Absolutely LOVE the live music. Everyone in the band was so friendly and personable. The restaurant feels so welcoming too. What a great ambience. I wish I found this place sooner. I love the little touches like the library and candles. Lobster bisque was delicious. Under all new management and all new staff, so let’s see what happens!

Get your act together!First and foremost they were out of the wine we wanted. We ordered our meal and 25 minutes later they come out to tell us they are out of the steak we wanted. You just opened an hour before we got there. Somehow the chef and the manager were to busy to talk to us which is strange given the total of 6 people in the entire building. The chef didnt want to swap out steaks because he was out of the sirloin. Well you will lose a lot more than your food cost if you continue to run the business that way.I really have a hard time understanding why such a simple process is so broken here? They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction or retention. Personally I reside about a mile away and the terrible service will ensure my family will never return.

The service was great and the staff was friendly. Our appetizers were good but our steaks were cooked to the wrong temperature. I ordered a ribeye medium and it came out completely dry. The skewer of shrimp was not seasoned at all and my garlic broccoli had no flavor. The Mac and cheese was just noodles and sauce. Overall it was a disappointing steakhouse experience. Our server did correct our steaks and was very gracious to us. The manager never came to check on us and and the restaurant was not packed. My wife and I were hopeful to have a great experience at a restaurant in our neighborhood. Honestly we have had better steaks and flavored food at Longhorn Steakhouse for half the price. I hope Pete Millers improves.

We have been regulars since it opened and have loved having this special little place near home. It’s been the best thing to come into the south Naperville area. Nice steak, nice Manhattans, and really nice jazz tunes. We had been MIA for a couple of months but not because of the service but because of our wedding planning and honeymoon but we are happy to have come back and welcomed with open arms. We can only hope to come back more now that the dust has settled back at home. We enjoyed having been served by Dana, out favorite server and bartender and having conversations with Terry, the new manager that we loved getting to know tonight. BTW, the calamari was phenomenal, love the kick to it! Don’t remember it being this good! The desserts were amazing as well. Thank you again for a lovely time.

I had high hopes for this place, but was really let down. We were a party of 12. Service and the music were great and the drinks were very good as well. The food, not so much. I ordered the lobster bisque, because there were great reviews, I only ate half of it because it tasted like something that came out of a can. My entree was the Sea Bass - Ive ordered sea bass a lot, it is normally served as a big chunk of fish, but here it was served like a flat trout. It was dry and not buttery at all. Very disappointed.

The overall experience was good, but a bit over priced for the actual size of the steak. The steak however was delicious and cooked exactly as I asked it to be done. I also liked the fact that the host was able to get us a table without a reservation. I’ll definitely come back.

Came here on a Saturday and while it was busy it was not a full house. Service was incredibly slow for how busy it was, every drink order would take around 15 minutes to get back to us and waters were often empty. We also received the wrong order multiple times. Two wrong drink orders and a wrong appetizer. The food was nothing special, and for the prices you could make better at home. 36 dollars for a filet that was rather bland and not interesting. My girlfriend ordered a chicken and pasta dish that tasted like so bland besides a weird fish taste.Overall for how insane the prices are for the product you get I would not recommend this place. It gets a 2 star because our waitress tried really hard regardless.

Best experience! The service is always phenomenal here and on the weekends they have great live music. The drinks are fairly priced, and I always enjoy the food. Steaks are great and so are the truffle fries. They have a lot of good beers on tap. The lobster bisque is addicting, I always order it every time I come here. The place is fancy and everythings always clean and good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

2.5 stars would be a more suitable rating but that isnt an option. Im sad to sayy experience at Pete Millers was quite disappointing. Ill first talk about the service and then comment on the actual food.We visited on Mothers Day with reservations at 7pm but were not seated until 7:25. This was confusing as there were many open tables as you can see in the picture accompanying this review. We later found out that this was due to them being understaffed. We were informed that many of their servers were gone for Prom weekend which left them with what appeared to be 2 or 3 servers, even the manager wasnon the floor taking tables orders. We waited about 25 minutes to get our drinks and one member of my party actually didnt receive theirs and had to remind various staff twice about his Coke. We had to repeatedly ask for more bread as we wanted up waiting about 2 hours to receive our food, which only half was brought out at first and there was a struggle figuring out whos steak belonged to who. Elijiah, our server, was fantastic. He actually went back and personally made out drinks when he saw how long it was taking for them to come out to us. He even stuffed the olives himself as they ran out. He was very apologetic and made his best effort to keep coming back to check on us even though he had many other tables to take care of.As for the food, 0 out of 4 of the steaks were cooked to order. Despite all being labeled with small wooden toothpicks marked Medium, they ranged from charred to rare. The steak was alright, lacked in flavor a bit, and did not come with a side, those are additional. I ordered ribs which I am happy to say were amazing, which was a nice suprise as they included a side, the portion size was enough to feed 2-3 people, and they were the cheapest meal at my table. They fell right off the bone, and tasted delicious. The Manager, who I believe was Fred Gore, came around to apalogize and offer to comp a couple of our drinks. This was after they corrected the first bill which double charged us for the come and had our Mac and cheese on it, which we never even received. The corrected bill took almost 5 minutes to come back with our card, to find that the double charged come still remain on the bill.Again, thank you Elijiah for being so awesome and working over 13 hours today after working until 2am the night before to make up for the lack of staff.Im sorry to say I wont be returning u less some changes are made.

This was our second visit and experience at Pete Millers. The food was good. The service not so much ... youd like to think in this price point that the servers would be more attentive. We were missing a few utensils we asked we waited. We asked multiple times for water to be refilled we waited, we asked again and waited. The empty plates sat on the table no one cleared them. Felt like they were understaffed or changed the way they treated us. The 1st visit was amazing!! The 2nd left us wondering if wed go back.

We had a great time. We loved all of the food. Management as very friendly. Yes its super expensive but youre paying for the steaks and service. The wine was very well priced. We all loved our waitress and the manager checked to see if we had any concerns. We told him the music was a little loud and throughout the night we noticed it get a little quieter. All of the desserts were yummy too, especially the banana foster. I think its a great addition to the neighborhood.

They recognized our anniversary and made us feel welcomed, thanked us, and invited us back. We will be back.

Great jazz, wonderful wine selection. Waited 10 minutes to get seated, host questioned our reservation, said it was for another day-he was wrong. The reservation was correct, confirmed by Open Table. He then said, we can still accommodate you. Embarrassing !!!Waited 1 hour to get served our appetizers. Bartender was our server, she was pleasant, but had a full bar and 5 tables to work. She also provided a nice cheesecake dessert for our birthday celebration.Food was undercooked and cold, burgers were raw. Chicken portion was very small and overpriced. Steak was fatty.Manager insulted me in front of my family, questioning my ability to taste wine, although he was serving us a second bottle of the same vintage. Each time he came to our table he spoke only to the women, placing his hand on my wifes back, touch and eying the other ladies at our table. When we said we had a gift certificate he quickly replied, that will only apply to items not already on promotion. We will not return.

I had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection, the salmon as well as the shrimp risotto were fabulous, and of course all the steaks were delectably cooked to perfection as well. Not worth the money! Place is very nice. Food was okay. The steaks came out on the slightly warm side. I think this might be just the way the they do things by reading the other reviews. Service and people were great. The reason I give it only two stars is that the food is not good enough quality to charge what they are charging. They need to lower there prices or make better quality food. I definitely do not mind paying for great food but, I cant stand paying high prices for okay food. The bacon steak was the best thing we had which is an appetizer. If your okay paying high prices for okay food then go if not go somewhere else.

Food was superb. However there were many other things wrong. The live music was way too loud. You cant combine a jazz bar with an upscale restaurant. Almost had to shout to talk. Despite the restaurant being less than half full, it took us nearly 3 hours to finish our meal. Soup came 45 mins after appetizers and it was only lukewarm. Dirty plates and glasses were left on the table. Service was atrocious. Kimmy stepped in and comped our soup and gave us free desserts. But still, a 3 hour meal? We will not be returning.

One of our favorite places for many reasons. Pete Millers in Naperville offers...1). A friendly staff and the manager always comes to our table. 2). Entertainment is always good. We’ve enjoyed different venues from a piano player to a small jazz band. 3) The ambiance is very nice with its huge stone fireplace w club chair seating near it. 4). Great wine selection and knowledgeable servers. 5). Steaks always done to perfection (we always get the fillet). 6). Very reasonably priced especially the fillet and lobster special!!! 7). And we ALWAYS break our diets and share a dessert bc they hit the spot after a great meal. We’ve never had a reservation and never had to wait. We typically go on weekends mostly but will be going more midweek bc we have heard of some hard-to-pass- up specials. And the location is so convenient right on Rt 59 near 103rd! I’m hearing of a rib night special of only around $10 ! I cannot buy and make them for that price!!!

Had dinner here tonight. I ordered the delmonico ribeye medium rare. At $46, I was expecting a melt in your mouth taste experience. That was not what I got. I received a medium to medium well, drier than expected piece of meat. It had nice seasoning, but the texture was dry. I’ve had steaks in all price ranges and this steak was not of the same caliber as some of the cheaper steaks I have had. The sides were tasty and the service was friendly, but the main event was lackluster and I won’t be back again. Not to mention the Alaskan crab cocktail for $25 consisted of the equivalent of ONE crab leg. I don’t mind paying a good price for good food; I feel you get what you pay for, but the price was not equivalent to the quality/quantity that is expected of something that is priced this way. This was very disappointing.

He never even lifted his head or said hello. Walked over to the bar and sat down. Solid 5 minutes goes by, still not greeted or asked if we could be helped. Saw 2 servers working the 3 tables that had customers. Still no acknowledgment from any staff members or the entertainer. We walked out and went somewhere else. I was warned not to go hear because the service was terrible. Now I know why this place was empty.

Then we were served a spoiled steak! I ate a few pieces not realizing at first and when I brought it to their attention they left it sitting in front of us smelling for another 10 minutes until they finally asked if we wanted anything else. After I said I felt sick I will just eat a potato they charged for the potato! I could have food poisoning and the manager just acted nonchalant and swept it under the rug. I understand things happen but after how the manager treated us we will never return and will warn others to go elsewhere.

What a huge disappointment. Went here because of having had nothing but positive experiences at the one in Evanston. The only thing the two locations have in common is high prices. The place was doing a brisk business, but there was no waiting to be seated. Yet service and pace was terrible at this location. E.g., salads were delivered WITH the main course. After orders were taken, our server disappeared until after food was served. Came back to say, Sorry. The salads should have been served before the main course. Saying it after it happens doesnt help. The two meat dishes at our table had cooled to nearly room temperature by the time they were served. The lone pasta dish was served hot.The automatic side with my lamb chops was something called burned broccoli. Never had it before. Tasted great. But served, literally, at room temperature. It was as though the broccoli stalks had been sitting on a side board and thrown on the plate as garnish. And there was a load of broccoli garnish . . . to fill in the void left by the meager chops. The lamb chops were not just lamb chops. They were New Zealand lamb chops. The tiniest, least meaty lamb chops I have ever seen. Seemed like infant, absolutely newborn lamb.I have never been asked, of lamb chops, How do you want those cooked? So, when the server asked, I was taken aback. I said that I always order my steaks as rare as possible, and asked how my lamb chops should be done. She did not know. I asked her to tell the chef took cook them the way they ought to be cooked. She came back and said, He said, Medium rare. Then they were served medium well . . . and cooled to nearly room temperature. One person at our table ordered the Truffle fries and was told that they came with aioli sauce. But they didnt . . . until we pointed it out to our server, who, having just apologized for disappearing until our salads were served with the main course, was further embarrassed, and went to get it.After that, she noticeably avoided our table. As I said, I went to this Pete Millers because of positive experiences at the one in Evanston. If this had been the first Pete Millers Id been to, Id have never gone to another one. This one was an expensive disappointment.

Will be taking my wife here for Valentines, and definitely great to know we have a high class steakhouse much closer to home (south Naperville) than having to trek all the way to Sullivans in downtown Naperville or Gibsons in Oakbrook. Went here for the first time with my wife for our anniversary. Ambience was nice, but live entertainment very loud. Service was good, waiter Alex very friendly and seemed to know his stuff. I ordered the hanger steak which to my surprised came pre-cut. Steak was good but not very hot. There was butter on top of it which did not melt at all. My wife ordered the shimp and risotto and the presentation was very impressive. The shimp were huge and came on a mental hanger to say how big they were. Needless to say, my wife stated the risotto was underdone, you could see it was still white and hard, not creamy. My wife mentioned this to a manager who took care of it right away. Stated he will reorder one for her. We waited for a while for the reorder. My waiter came by and we told him what transpired. He stated he thought they were having trouble in the kitchen as the shimp was ready way before the risotto so that is why it was underdone. The manager came over with the reorder and stated he watched over the meal to make sure it was done. By the time the reorder came, my wife just ate her shimp from the first order and had to take the reorder home. The risotto was better but on the bland side. The manager did not comp anything for us, as we waited which was very surprising. Not only this, but my wife saw the cook come out who looked very angry. Matter a fact he stared down at my wife as if she was the enemy. He looked very angy and made my wife very uncomfortable. So we will think twice about going back. We usually eat at Sullivans Steak House in Napeverille and have never had an issue. So this is why we only rated this place a two and that is because of the waiter who was the only enjoyable part of our experience. I hope they read this rating and work out their flaws. Especially the cook with the attitude. After our review, we were personally contacted by the restaurant manager, Mr. Fred Gore, to come back and to let him show us what Pete Millers can do. Let me just say that on our second visit, it was a completely different experience. Fred made sure we had the best table (next to the fireplace on a cold winters night), had his best waitstaff serving us, and everything we ordered that night was cooked to perfection. We had no issues with any of our entrees, and they were simply delicious. We visited the restaurant at about the same time (5pm) as on our first trip there, but this time it was a Friday night, so the restaurant did have more patrons there on our second trip. Thank you very much Fred. We will be back! Russ and Linda
