Would give it 10/10 if possible. Tailored and friendly hospitality, amazing wines and a beautiful setting. Serious emphasis on friendly hospitality, everyone here has been amazing and very genuine when talking wines or just talking!
If you love the 70s. You will love the decor. If you love big reds, you may love the wine! Stephanie was taking care of us and told us the great stories behind the wine and winery. She was great with our group. Place is clean and nice layout. Great outside sitting and views of the hills. You will have to figure out who the owners father is????
Came here for our 4 year anniversary. We had a great wine and cheese tasting. Super friendly hostess and wines were delightful. We will be back!
Ashes & Diamonds was imaginarily dazzling and alluring from the outside looking in, from the web, that is. My friends and I drove up just for this experience but I may have set my expectations too high. The space wasnt as lively as I had anticipated, its a lot more quiet and intimate, but this may have been the day we decided to go. The wine + service was satisfactory, but underwhelming. A pro tip is to order food ahead of time on your reservation because you cannot order food on the spot, it is all prepared the day prior. An assortment of bread and butter was provided that was quality, way better than the generic breadsticks being served within a 10 mile radius. Other than that, I feel like the space doesnt live up to its potential.
A mid century masterpiece with a decent white.
We went for the wine taste and cheese. It was 75 dollars per person, which I paid cuz I went w my gf. For this price I was expecting at least a full bottle, drink all you can, something like this, buuuuut... There was a really small cheese plater with three tiny pieces of cheese, some crackers and a jam and almonds. They bring you two tiny bootles with white (not temp controlled, but fresh) that serves to taste only, and them they brought three reds (they dont change your glasses, and there is no place to pour over the leftovers) and dont refil the cheese or anything. Water is a paper bottle, room temperature, tasting paper water. Disregarding the awful experience with the expected VS reality, the wines are very good, and the service too, the place is modern and pleasing.
We enjoyed the food and wine tasting a lot.
Beautiful tasting room and grounds. The wines were well-balanced but the service needs some polishing. Definitely worth a visit if time allows. I’m sure they will get better with time (sounds like a wine analogy:-))
Very cute mid-mod style tasting room. The decor and branding are on point.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Can I just say how rude everyone was. Do not go to this place if you’re over a group of 8. They do not accommodate and were very unpleasant when we even asked to split up into 2 groups. Definitely not worth the time or my money.
Basic, overpriced wine. Very commercial.
Beautiful mid-century modern tasting room. Great service and loved the Blanc.
Hip and sleek aesthetics with a retro vibe. Great wines, fantastic food, and attentive/knowledgeable service.
What an amazing place. We visited for the THE A&D WINES + FOOD lunch experience. Through this we had a chance to do a tour of the facility with Conner Blake Burns before sitting down for lunch. Dont kid yourself - its not cheap - but it is a really good experience. We enjoyed both the food and wine and recommend it for anyone with the ability to schedule for the lunch.
Lovely living room set up with modern decor. The flights were good and the service excellent. Their home made foccacia and butter was delicious.
Super hip, nice wines and a place where you can chill outside and take advantage of the sunshine.
Gorgeous view from a modern vineyard. Delicious pours and tasting menu.
Super modern, contemporary winery. Younger crowd. Different vibe to rest of Napa/Sonoma. Winery for millennials, or at least not your parents. Good service. Wine decent as well.
Cool spot with some interesting wines!
Majestic. Pls don’t go here. It will blow your mind with ingenuity. Pleasant and simple pleasures that make time feel like an illusion.
Very quaint and quiet setting. The summer tasting was fabulous.
This place is lovely. We had the best host!!! Thank you Connor (not Colin;)) for taking such wonderful care of us. Well be back and recommend you to our friends in the future.
Great overall experience. Cool architecture for their tasting room. Sam Campbell was beyond wonderful. Very knowledgeable, recognized our palate and made some great recommendations. Really lovely wines.
Unbelievably unique space and wine. Such a different and refreshing take on “Napa”.
The wines were great and loved the architecture and general feel of the place. Also have to mention that Zach was an amazing host! Its open late, until 7, so that was also the reason we came as we only had one late afternoon to spend in Napa after a Cali road trip.
Ash and Diamonds is the overrated and expensive winery I have ever visited in California in last seven years. Please dont fall for the hip decor, botique dressed hosts and slick marketing. The wines are strictly underwhelming. They lack depth or character. The $100 cab sauv lack any after taste. The 30 something host tried to explain that they are trying to bring back 70s wine making but was not convincing at all.I am sorry to waste my money and time although I really liked the yellow wall in the front ;)
If you’re a large group, do not come here. They refuse to serve large groups.
It was okay. A bit pricey. Wines were not my favorite but everyone has a different palate.
Fun contemporary environment and staff was great. Wines good and the bread at the bar!
Open tables and parking lot not full but couldnt accommodate our group
Had at great time at A&D! Wine was amazing and the space was beautiful.
This is a brand new tasting room (November 2017) with a cool mid century modern feel. The wine is made in small batches and had a handcrafted vibe to it. Our party did the food and wine tasting and it was a unique wine tasting experience to break up the monotony of wine tasting rooms in the area. Definitely worth a stop to a place that may not normally be in your winey radar!
Great wine tasting experience. The wines were lovely and the service was great. I would highly recommend.
Favorite winery in Napa!
Wow!!! Surprised by this sleeper. The architecture, the decor and the customer service are worth the visit. Unique roots and luscious wine. Don’t skip this spot and definitely have The knowledgeable Zach educate and poor for you.
Nice, retro style wine tasting spot. Good wine, and very friendly staff!
Good spot, but they only give you free focaccia if you do the tasting. But good wine!
Wonderful wine, wonderful atmosphere. Very modern and very worth a visit :) Dane the waiter is a legend
Excellent wine, friendly and informative service for the tastings. Chic place, chic wine.
Wine was pretty good but scenery was great.
Beautiful winery. Tasty wine. Ill be back!
Newbie on the block in terms of Napa wineries. JUST opened a few months ago, Ashes & Diamonds is NOT your typical Napa winery. Instead of the vineyards, old-Euro feel, and wooden and iron furniture, this is like being at the Standard hotel in DTLA. Its modern MOD -- cork chairs, plastic tables, bright colors, heatlamps. It still IS totally beautiful, while bringing a very cool hip vibe to the sometimes-stifling feel of Napa wine tasting. Its open late, and has a restaurant-like feel to their tasting room. We made a reservation since we were a big group, and they had a lovely outside table for us to enjoy our wines by the firey sunset. It was perfection. They brought out heat lamps for us (yes, multiple, cuz theyre fab like that) and made sure we had enough sparkling and still waters, wines, etc. The pours are huge (this is a great thing) and the wines are delicious! Our first Rose was my absolute favorite. Try it! Tastings are $35 each, but the pours are so generous, you could easily split this with your fave friend and still both come away tipsy and satisfied.Facilities are clean and they have a really cool set up that Id love to check out more next time!
Neat, new winery. Casual pleasant vibe.
Great host Zack, delicious wines, good food.
First time there it a bit trendy not like the other wineries bery modern not like the traditional wineries it stands out kinda like a sore thumb so to speak but it does look very nice and clean
Closed 90 minutes early. Kinda disappointed in that...
Very nice place
Best in the world!
Wonderful wines!
The winery is coming soon, not here yet, as of July 2017.
