Hike on August 9th, 2019 -Hands down an amazing hike. Absolutely worth the wait for it to re-open after the closing for several years due to the devastating wild fire which nearly wiped out the entire preserve. The roads are NOT all that bad and to use the word ”trecherous” as one Google reviewer has done is ridiculous. Also, to give a one star review just because google maps has lead you to a dead end as yet another Google Reviewer has done is ridiculous as well! If you did any sort of research about the Archer Taylor Preserve one would easily ascertain that one can not just easily walk up onto the property without first getting a hold of the property owners. If I had land such as this best believe I would have the same set up, to keep all parties involved minimizes risk and keeps an open line of communication. Nothing wrong with an orientation experiencing it myself there was nothing as yet another Google Reviewer has stated ”gimmiky” it was over informative and short!! And now Im able to do on the hike when ever I like : ) Thank you to the Taylors for allowing the public to enjoy your lands. The Hike was absolutely worth everything that it took to get there. (which wasnt all that bad) You hike through large Redwood forests that funnel you into a canyon were the rock walls shoot up on either side of you well over a hundred feet up in the air. Then you get to the bottom of the falls. Doesnt stop there though if you double back a ways and take another trail you can actually get to the top of the falls. Think the top to be well over 150 to 200 feet up and a succession of a handful off waterfalls. Absolutely stunning!!!!!!!! THANK YOU TO THE NAPA LAND TRUST AND THE TAYLORS!!!!!

Not a place to just go and hike. Owners want you go sign up for a gimmicky workshop. Very disappointed in the napa valley open land system. Wanted to go up and hike for the day, website says you must contact the owners 48 hours in advance! What a load of sh$t!

I followed Google maps directions and it took me to a dead end with only private driveways and treacherous single lane roads on the way. I ran into a local resident and she said the area is currently off limits because of last years fires. I would not recommend going unless you have a local guide or reservations of some kind.
