Hands-down the best art tour Ive ever been on. This museum houses some of the most unique collections of art Ive seen in quite some time. The spaces are beautiful and the tours are the only way to view them. Id take the discovery tour over the art and garden tour any day, but every once in a while they do a big hike on their art and garden tour which is well worth the physical effort.Your tour guides love their job and they make an effort to make sure you are loving your experience. Di Rosa Preserve is a must-see in the midst of your Sonoma Valley countryside, so before you get your drink on, make sure to grab some culture first.

We received free passes to tour the place and called in advance to make sure we can get in around 3 for a self guided tour. When we arrived they said to come back another day because it takes 1.5 hours for a full tour and it was too late. It would’ve been really nice if they mentioned that in their website so people could coordinate their day better, specially on a Saturday. They dismissed a few other groups while we were there. We were pretty bummed because we lose our passes once they are printed. But for anyone planning on going be sure you show up at 2:30 or earlier!

Loved it! There was a lot to see, and didnt have time, so I will definitely go back! I do hope the security lady will not follow me around 10 feet away next time though. That was off-putting.

This is one of the best kept secrets of the Napa Valley. Set among The Vineyards of the rolling Hills in the Carneros District, this gem has not only extraordinary scenery but also has wonderful Modern Art installations both indoors and outdoors. Throughout 2019 DeRosa has an extensive exhibit showing the works of Viola Frey. She was quite prolific and her work runs from painting to sculpture to ceramics and is not only colorful but also whimsical. DeRosa is a great place if you like modern art and is the perfect place to spend an afternoon on a date with someone you care for or with a group of friends.

The place is beautiful and the exabition are interesting, but there is no guiding available. Once we had a cart driver that really know the place and that gave us wonderful guiding tour also its not his job.The other two times were quit dull.

We came on a Thursday, prepared for a day of in- and outdoor art walks. Unfortunately we inadvertently found out there is only access to outdoors sculptures on Friday & saturday! Really? And you could not provide this info on your website so visitors can plan? Really lame!

As of Feb. 21, 2018It will be a while before we go back.We took a 1 1/2 hours tour- purchased tickets online in advance.IMAGINE stretching out the tour to the usual 1 1/2 hours with less than 1/3 of the usual amount of art work to view and to talk about! The CLOSURES of the MAIN HOUSE and SCULPTURE GARDEN due to the fire smoke damage were UNDER-DISCLOSED.I searched and found the information (after being thoroughly disappointed after taking the tour) kind of hidden in the middle of the Admissions page on the website. There was no message about the closures on the whats on view page nor while I was buying the tour tickets.I would have appreciated the partial museum closure information on the front page, where its easily seen, to have made an informed choice.

Outdoors and indoors - there is art everywhere with interesting docent led tours. If you have an interest in the mid-century bay area art world, this is your place.

I loved this place. Ive gone six previous times and introduced countless people. No more. It has become a joke. The first building where you browsed awaiting your tour guide is but a fraction of what it used to be. I bad omen and clue as to what is to come.Building two with its thousands of incredible items has been reduced to 3 very intense exhibits of perhaps 4 items of questionable value as art. What used to be hours of visually delightful entertainment has become 5 minutes of perplexing judgement as to what is art.The residence and its fabulous collection is closed. The sculpture garden on the grounds is gone. The final stroll through what seemed like a studio is gone. This is now a joke and it comes without warning. My plans included 2 1/2 hours of travel each way. Expensive accommodations. Several meal reservation. A very disappointed guest. The Dirosa should make a very strong statement as to what has changed and what to expect. Also, when it might change. In the meantime, this is a waste of time.

We werent able to see all of the collection because they were being restored, but the current exhibit on American politics was thought provoking, amd it just meant we took a leisurely walk in the meadows to view the sculptures. Our docent gave us several other recommendations to view art in the area and one in the city on Capp Street.

I visited the di Rosa modern art preserve on Thursday, October 22. I liked the smoke ring maker inside the silo, the pond, the gardens, and the fake sheep. I found the art pieces confusing and even offensive. There was very little joy or beauty in this collection. Im not an artist, but I know what I like, and as far as I am concerned this was garbage. I would not recommend it.

Wow! What a treat!! The diRosa is a wine country gem. I had a cousin visiting from out of town and it was a wonderful way to take in the splendor of Napa with a fantastic selection of art. There are different tours available - I really want to check out the sculpture tour and hike! Be sure to plan ahead and arrive on time.
