Skate-O-Rama

Its a pretty cool little place! My only complaint is that the only arcade game they had wasnt working! Definitely need to fix that and get more! Other than that.. its a good place to bring the kids and hang out for a couple hours!

Fun for the kids. It needs a serious update and cleaning. Also, WiFi is not available which is odd in todays connected society.

Large rink and filled with lights to make the place feel eventful. They even host small minigames in between songs.

The current owners of Skate-O-Rama are constantly upgrading and improving the facility. When I was there on April 28th for our grandkids birthday party, I was pleased to find that the video screen had been removed and everything looked lighter and brighter. There was a good mix of music and it was an over-all great experience. Three generations of our family have skated at Skate-O-Rama!

I like that they do theme nights. My daughter and her friends enjoyed princess dress up. I also like that that the skating rink is open to provide entertainment for our little ones with the few options in town.

Awesome place for some Saturday fun! Nice friendly staff. Brought back a lot of great memories. Will definitely be going back!

It’s a loving place where kids can go have fun it’s awesome is extremely friendly and it’s safe so no one should be hurt or anything and the snacks are really good too! And it’s extremely safe for everybody love the place I recommend it to everyone!️

The kids have a blast and the guys that work there are awesome!

Restrooms were very dirty and in poor condition. Looked like the doors had been kicked in. Carpets were dirty. We were there for a childrens party that had rented the entire hall, yet the lights were dimmed the entire time.

First time there, had small age kids and teenagers; the people who run it seem to have a system to keep the kids safe. A great place to skate.

A little outdated, but clean with a nice staff. Perfect for a retro themed party. The kids had a great time!

It was alot of fun. Floor quality was very good. Skates were decent. In need of update but decent. The music was decent. Kid friendly. The only reason I didnt give more starts was that it was in need of an update. All in all I will go again. I had a blast

All you have to pay for skate skate in those hours and food that dont cost that much the are super the race and limbo is fun to you need to go fun

I love it here!its really fun and cheap since theres nothing else really to do in town.the only thing that I would change is change some of the lights because they blink way to fast and really makes you dizzy and gives you a headache.

My Daughter loves this place and its nicer than other skating rinks Ive been to. I paid to have my Daughters birthday party here. You get 1 table to use and decorate as you like. If you dont rent the entire rink you will very likely be next to another family at a table with a birthday and the tables are pretty close together. I had to redirect a few people that were there for another party away from our table. I had to request things that were supposed to be provided... like forks because I guess it was forgotten. I did not like only being able to have five minutes to set up the area. Overall its not bad and the kiddos had a great time.

My feet hurt because the old skates but besides that its pretty good and the snacks are pretty good except the pizza it was small but besides everything else its a pretty good place to chill and it wasnt very expressive

Fun place for the grandkids. Friendly people, and good snacks.Edit: Really gone downhill. Dont bother using the Contact Me button, they never answer. Even in a town with absolutely nothing else, this is s bad choice. Go to the movies, or miniature golf. Youll be glad you did. Also, if you notice, the responses from the owners are very rude, and condescending.

It is an absolute thrill to see a picture of the skating rink and see its still open since I used to frequent it just about every weekend during my junior high school years. This was 53yrs ago. Im amazed its still there. It brings back awesome memories since I was there so much and learned to skate well there and met some cute guys. I havent been back since but would thrill to if Im ever back in Doches. Im so glad this rink has stayed open because its great, clean fun for young people in Nacogdoches, that they wont ever forget.

There is no discriminating against any race, sex, the lgbt community or age going on there. As a black woman I feel people should call a business to see if theyre open. Dont try to us racial discrimination as a reason why a business isnt open.

I think it could use a huge make over. All the lights were really cool but the place needs too be gutted and made over.

As many times as Ive been to skate o rama, theres never been any type of discriminating of any kind and Ive always have a great time. Were only 1 school district so therefore not every recreational establishment will be open. Chill it was just a teacher work day, its not a holiday.

I gave 3 stars because of the kids in free promotion, my Godson got in free and only paid 3 for skate rental, it was 7 total with me included. The venue itself was fine, there was a decent amount of seating, a concession stand that I didnt check out, and plenty of kids around. For some crazy reason, in the middle of July there was no air conditioning in this building. There was hardly any temperature difference from the 96 degrees outside. My Godson asked to leave after 20 minutes because he was tired of sweating. Someone got locked in the bathroom while we were there, it took the owners daughter and herself to get it open. We probably wont be back!

Was here for 20 mins autistic brother got scared and didnt want to stay.. my sister fell busted up her knee on floor because the skate she rented broke the wheels came off so I asked for refund the lady was rude and told me she couldnt.. it was hot no air on and only one little fan blowing. We wasted 35 dollars for nothing but some upset kids.

Was not at all pleased with the staff. They were rude and unprofessional. They attempted to charge my 14 year old daughter $6.00 just to enter the rink to celebrate her sisters birthday. We made it VERY clear she wasnt going to be skating. We ended up having to add her to the guest list just to let her in. Ridiculous! The man at the front desk was very rude about it as well. Needless to say, we wont be having a party there again. Very disappointed.

Today is a nisd holiday and had planned on taking my 3 kids out to learn how to skate for the first time, however I checked the website, and come to find out they are closed on Monday, which is not understood, most fun facilities for children open up on school holidays, so there is something fun to do. I remember the waterparks in Houston opening up for labor day or mlk day, or the amusement center in which had a rink in it. Then I read all of these horrible reviews, now Im like forget this I would probably get racially discriminated for being a Hispanic, with 3 hyper Hispanic children, and probably would be over charged, and then been asked to leave because my kids are intolerable because they are running around and yelling like they do sometimes when they having a good time. I have already predicted this outcome. Thanks to the reviews, I will never set foot In that place.

How else can you entertain kids for hours on end for only a few bucks! Plus, if you go often, theyll give you free passes to come back and you only have to pay for the skates
