Great round at Arcadian Shores! Hadn’t played here in a long time and it’s even better than I remembered. Course is in great condition and I was impressed with the quality of the greens. They are smooth and fast. The staff was great as well. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Course is in great shape with a fair and challenging layout for mid to high handicappers. Go online and find a good deal and you won’t be disappointed. There are several elite courses in the area but they come at a significantly higher price point. I found the rate here fair for the layout and challenge.

This is a decent course. They are working hard on cleaning this course up. Dont think its too badly priced. The last time I played the maintenance guys didnt show up and the course showed it. I have heard they are back and course is looking good.

The course was pretty decent for the price. Most of the holes are pretty straight and the service for the place wasnt very helpful. For $70-80 a head it should be a prime course with top service in my opinion. I enjoyed it but not worth the price.

Visited the driving range for the fist time in a couple of years. The update is now finished the new club house is beautiful.

Overall the course was in good shape. The greens were awesome. My wife and I played in 4 hours. Just a heads up its a little pricey.

First time playing the course. In GREAT condition. Fairways are easier to hit from. Greens in fantastic shape and put true. Highly recommend this course.

I think overall experience was nice. The staff was very courteous and kind. They provided excellent customer service. The golf course etiquette was not shown by a group in front of us. They were playing very slow and held us up for over nine holes. We could have been done and gone.

The Course Marshall followed us to must he made us feel like we was the only ones he said some to on the course..We was the only black group on the Course..You figure because I know his reason..after my Cousin said some to him we didnt see him anymore and we was playing at a great pace behind the others group in front....He was an a$$

Course was in absolute wonderful condition. Was a lot of fun for my daughter and I both to play. Would most definitely play here again!!

Great people. Very business like but helpful. Course was an 8.5 /10. Wore shorts and a collared shirt. Thats what most classy courses require. Paired with good golfers. 3 some. Would play again.

Havent played here for quite some time and was I amazed. The fairways and the greens were in great shape. Loved the layout. Everything about the course was very pleasant. I played with the Dragons and our entire foursome was pleased with the condition of the course. Looking forward to playing there again.

Its in great shape with except #5 was cartpath only.I had a great round with Jay Coyle, Phil Kennedy and Walt Glenn.

They wanted 35 for an afternoon rate with the golfpassport which is pretty good. Then they said oh you can only play nine holes and its thirty dollars. 18 for 35 or nine for 30

The staff is not great. The cart attendants could not control the flow. The course was in very good shape. It is an older course, but worth playing. We tried to book another tee time for the next day and the price was $95 on a Monday. Definitely not worth that price. We played Aberdeen for $50 and that course was awesome

Course in good shape.

The course is good...but while playing on the front 9 we were approached twice about slow play with a hole open behind us. I feel that we were targeted because we had a female golfer in our group. After being approached twice it really made the rest of the round very stressful and no longer enjoyed playing.

This place was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had at a golf course. We arrived for a weekend of golf. We got in a bit early and we’re trying to sneak in 9 on a February Thursday afternoon at 3pm. While this place was not a course we scheduled, we were able to get on last minute here.8 of us arrived. Three of our guys were promptly turned away because they decided to wear blue jeans on a 5 hour drive rather then high end golf attire. I get your dress code, but at 3PM on a Thursday in February? On an EMPTY golf course? Gtfo.5 of us decided to play, because we paid before the other three arrived. We went to grab a cart and Sergio, the mustache wielding cart warden informed us we could not take a cart to the parking lot to load our clubs and had to bring them to him to do it. THIS WAS AS CARTS WERE DRIVING INTO THE PARKING LOT UNLOADING CLUBS.This place is an over priced joke, with literally 100s of golf courses in the area, avoid this place.

Hadnt played Arcadian in years. Was impressed. Enjoyed our round even though it was packed.

I give it 4 stars not because its a great course, but because its a great value. Doesnt pretend to be an elite course. Go online and get a good rate. Course is decent with sand traps, water, dog legs, etc, not just straight fairways back and forth.

This is a fine spot for good golf in NMB. Course was recently renovated and added a new club house. Was very impressed with the greens and the overall shape of the course, but be aware it plays extremely fast so care has to be taken in the intermediate, short and putting games. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, locals and tourists alike playing so it was a very nice pace of play. I wouldnt say this is a difficult course by any stretch, but its challenging enough for a good round with friends. Pricing was reasonable, tee times could be structured a little better to keep groups from bunching up early in a round.

This was the first time I played golf in Mrytle Beach and this was my second course. I found the course challenging, but fair when hitting trouble areas.The clubhouse was new and still smelled of fresh wood. The course was in good shape and the staff friendly.Naturally, I played the course a week prior to Hurricane Florence. I cant speak to the condition of the course post Flo.

Played on September 9th, 2018, course was in great shape. Pleasantly surprise by the layout. Some very challenging holes, but overall very playable. Greens, fairways and bunkers were in great shape. Very enjoyable round.

Only negative comment I have is the rough should be cut a little lower. I found 3 balls in the rough because I stepped on them buried in the grass. But this is not enough for a lesser review.

Nice, nothing special by Myrtle Beach standards. The greens were in good shape, with consistent speeds.

Asked for ice for the cart cooler they said I have to pay for it. We were a group of 10. They have seen us for the last time.

Great course, but dont understand the concept of splitting tees in the summer. Making you wait when you are playing a round of golf in the allotted time for nine holes is a little outrageous.

Had a tee time at 7:45 am played the front 9 in 1.5 hours. We got to the 10th hole and there were 6 groups starting their round on the back 9. There was no one on the 10th hole and we were told we had to wait on them. The starter told us we shouldn’t be at the 10th until 10:10. The course double books the 1st and the 10th till 10:10am which means we should take 2 hours 45 minutes to play 9 holes? (Ridiculous) We asked if we can start the 10th in front of the 6 groups and he told us NO we play to fast we should’ve played slower! Every golf course I have ever played the front 9 starters always had the right to the 10th tee box. Why did I get up early to be penalized? That’s wrong otherwise the golf course was in good shape and challenging but fair I would not play This course again because they double book in the morning they should stop The start on 10 at 9:30 at the latest

Beautiful course well maintained

We love going back to Arcadian Shores when we visit Myrtle Beach. The golf course is challenging but fair; its fun to play. Watch out for the alligators on #8 and #13, which is one tough hole.The most recent round was about 2 weeks after Hurricane Matthew. Over 200 trees lost but they have been cut/piled outside the fairways. Course conditions are actually very good. We have no problem with the fact that the clubhouse is being rebuilt. Looking forward to the new version.Our playing partners were delightful. The twosome caught up to us after we caught up to a foursome. The pace became more enjoyable and we finished in about 4h 20min.Asked if we could play another 4-5 holes as we had an hour to kill before rejoining our wives at 5:00 pm and it wasnt busy. The trailer (serving as the pro shop during construction) attendant would/could offer us 9 holes for $15. Cmon man!Play Arcadian Shores if you love classic (style) golf!

My brother and i played Arcadian Shores on April 14,2016. It has been 20 years since playing there and I remember it having a classic layout and being a good test of golf. However, I was a little concerned about the condition of the course after reading the reviews that had previously been posted.Upon arriving at the course, we were greeted by very friendly cart people and professional staff. Even though Arcadian Shores has a temporary clubhouse, we were delighted with the friendly staff, smiles, and customer service.We were promptly loaded into our carts and advanced to the practice tee. The driving range is nice, spacious and in good condition. We visited the putting green. We were stunned! Without a doubt, we found the nicest putting green with an immaculate, bent grass surface. We later were greeted by a very nice, informative starter. He provided a thorough but brief tutorial about the course.Even though the course was very busy, the pace of play was good. We completed our round in 4 hours and 20 minutes( we were paired with another twosome). We were allowed to drive the carts on the fairway and that helped with the pace of play. The fairways were in very good shape and there was only one little area that was roped off because of wet conditions. Again, the greens were incredible!All in all, the experience was great. The condition of the course is unbelievably good. PURE putting surfaces. It is without a doubt, a great value and would encourage you to play it! You will want to play it again!

Greens are new and plush. The whole course has improved cosmetically. and the new club house is very nice. The course layout has unfortunately not been changed, which was disappointing. We did have to wait for carts to come back in to play which was a little annoying.

I played here about six months ago and the only issue I had was that they were installing new fairway on a par 4 and you needed to use the cart path. The conditions were good and the greens were in great condition with a few exceptions. The alligator was there but if you want alligators go to Aberdeen or Sandpiper Bay. Theyre always out there. Good staff and crew and with passport card I paid $29 in December. Well worth the cost.

Course in pretty good condition for all the rain theyve had here. Very slow play and no rangers to keep groups moving. Service was very average in all areas. Not the level I expected at all...

Course and grounds are in great shape! The newly renovated clubhouse has a pro shop & snack bar with sunny, outdoor seating available.

Course was empty and the starter put a single with our three some.

This is a great golf course in terms of bang for your buck. The greens are decently maintained. Its not very long or challenging but itll do. They have a range that is real grass and not mats. #13 is most difficult hole on the course. It is very picturesque and has earned honors among the top courses/holes in Myrtle Beach.One huge drawback is that the clubhouse is under construction for the next 6-9 months so they are operating out of a trailer. This means nowhere to eat or relax afterwards.
