Great, challenging track and in very good shape. Played here 4 times in one week when I was visiting family. Great value as well. Did have one morning where we had an early tee time but didnt know there was a league playing so we got held up at the start. Should have had those times blocked out but other than that no issues at all. Will be back to play more
Chase Hammond golf course is beautiful, lush and fun to play. The staff is very friendly and accommodating ! Seniors get a discount which they offer readily. A full bar is available with free coolers for your convenience to take out on your cart ! The $3 hot dogs are huge and tasty. The pro shop is cozy and quaint . There is a large seating area to relax in and have a few chuckles with friends after the round. The course is challenging enough with many par 5 holes and a few par 3 sprinkled in for fun ! Porta pottys are conveniently located and the grounds are very well groomed! So grab your clubs and your friends and head on over to Chase Hammond ! Fore ! a good time ! Lol
On the good side...course layout was pretty as it is cut through thick trees. Many holes isolated from others. Very narrow fairways. Greens were not in the best shape and the fairways were a bit shaggy. On the bad side...we had a 7:30AM tee time but the course had not opened yet. Manager on duty finally showed up at 7:40. Now, I realize that courses have 9 hole leagues during the weekdays. It would have been nice if the manager had given us a heads up that wed be making the turn right in the middle of a ladies league. Maybe recommend playing the back 9 first would have been better.More on the bad side...in college, I worked for a golf course on the grounds crew. We were always told the customer comes first and if you encounter players, stop mowing or watering and let them play through. The crew here did anything but that. There were multiple times when we had to wait for them to finish what THEY were doing.Overall we did not have a memorable day at Chase Hammond when it could have been much better.
Great coarse. 9/10/20 They are getting it ready for a Tough Man Tournament- the rough is getting very long. I would wait until Oct 1st to play normal play.
Played the chasing chains disc golf tournament today on the course and I loved it!!
Course is in pretty good shape. It is pretty narrow and tight so if you like free swinging with your driver, this is NOT the course.
Friendly and accommodating staff. Course in great shape.
Nice course but for no reason should a place allow a group of 5 play and hold up play flow on fathers day and if you do you should keep the price more like Hickory Knolls
Beautiful. Green. Peaceful.Great Manager & friendly efficient staff.
We spent the day at the course with our shop enjoying our annual shop picnic. They have a beautiful club house and a great area to plan an outing. The course was well maintained, and the weather really helped.Thank you for hosting us!
Good. Had to dodge sprinklers though.
The greens and fairways were flawless. Everything was clean. Great wildlife. Lots of birds. Bugs were out but they offered bug spray in the clubhouse. The customer service was awesome. They have a good Bloody Mary. Chipping green and driving range available. Nice carts. Nothing bad to say at all.
Not to bad for the value. Its like a cross between Bent Pine & Hickory Knoll. Bring bug dope & and lots of balls. But we had fun. Staff was very friendly. The girls were awesome.
Very cool woodsy course with some narrow greens.Note: always call for a tee time.
Course in great shape, love playing here
Greens in good shape price is fair
Well maintained and cheap prices
Woodsy...challenging, and peacefully serene!
Ive enjoyed ball golf at this course always, but this past weekend I was fortunate enough to attend the very first disc golf tournament at this course using temporary baskets. Wow! What an incredible experience. Thanks to Chase Hammond and Fisher Disc Golf for working together and creating this experience. I really would love to see baskets permanently installed here. It would be awesome for the public and the course to expand this for mixed use. I really hope to see this in the future! Thank you for hosting :)
Always enjoy playing this course.
The course was soggy and rather packed but it was an enjoyable time all the same. Once I actually learn to play Id love to try it out
This is a very woodsy and beautiful place to play golf, and reasonably priced. We will definitely play again before returning to Texas
Greens in nice shape. Still lots of water on the course. Each year its in better shape than the year before. Overpriced for the condition.
One of the best designed courses run by some of the most incompetent employees around. This place has so much potential it is sad. Yes you can look up my name...I know what Im talking about.UPDATE: I went back today and played the course. (We shot a 58 in our scramble). The course cooked us burgers on the grill for our outing and that was the only thing I ate today. Its now shortly after midnight and I am throwing up all over the place. This place is literally the WORST. Please avoid this place!!
Very good shape. Didnt like the farm equipment and workers distracting attention from golf game.
Great place, great prices compared to courses around the area, friendly staff, and tough greens. Couldn’t ask more out of a course for a beginner to moderate golfer.
Great course. Greens are in good shape and as usual the course is challenging.
My favorite...how many days until spring?
Excellent course that runs through the trees. A great challenge.
Beautiful golf course. Tip of the cap to your grounds keeper!
Wonderful layout.
Great course conditions with a great staff! Green speed is awesome and fairways are well maintained!
Beautiful course
I’ve golfed here many times, the last visit was December 16th and the course was still playable and although a little thick the greens ran true with putting effort behind the ball. Thanks for being open after the season was over.
Great course. Seems to get better every year. Lots of trees which eliminate the wind on many of the holes. Good setup for seniors from the gold tees. Excellent value for the money.
Dont play Chase Hammond if its sprinkling and employees want to leave early bc they kick you off one hole before you are finished with a round.
Great layout, friendly staff with good prices.
This is a beautiful course, set among tall forest, lots of variety in fairway design, challenging, and fairly well kept (grass cutting and gardens). Much cooler on hot days than an open landscape. Could use some work on the greens (rolling), and players dont always repair divots on the greens or fairways (more sand and seed). The cart paths are often rough, but otherwise, we appreciate the beauty of it and the price is right.
Nice course. No pressure. Friendly staff
The course is in great shape. The new management is doing a great job. Tee to green looks great the greens are on the slow side, but theyre smooth. The course is tight, but fair. Leave your driver in the bag on most holes. Overall you will enjoy your round. .
Ive known this course since I first started golfing in the 70s. It was one of the best on this side of the state for years. It is in very good shape and the best its been in years. For the normal call in price you can do better at a few other local courses.
Great place nice staff
In good shape. Employees were friendly and helpful. Low cost for seniors.
Really pretty course cut right out of the woods. Tight, not much room to spray the ball here. Nice greens and bunkers. The whole course, including the greens, tends to run slow. Laid-back, relaxing atmosphere. Feels like just you and the course. Cool old club house with friendly staff. Has a very Adirondack vibe to it. Spartan practice facillities. Call it the anti-country club. I love the place.
I enjoyed playing this course. Its not the greatest. The greens have dead spots but the fairways are nice and the atmosphere is relaxing. We did run into a herd of turkeys on one of the tee boxes. Tones of wildlife.
I love that course and it is in the best shape its ever been in.
First time and we will be back.
Nice course, lots of trees!!
Course is in great shape, greens putting true. Price is right.
A little rough around the edges
Decent course hopefully on the way back to be better

Ok course. A little on the expensive side for the course quality.
