Went to register my children and came across this message in the form:Additionally, we have found studies that indicate that wearing cloth masks actually increases ones chances for infection. Since cloth masks are the only masks that most of us have access to anyway, it is for this reason that we do not require any of our patrons (or staff) to wear masks (especially cloth).Scientific evidence suggests otherwise. Ill give me money to a business who advocates socially responsible practices.
Our 6 year old has been anxious about swimming ever since he was a baby and group Rec center classes seemed to make him more anxious. This was the perfect setting and the teachers have great ways to make him comfortable and combat the anxiety. They also have great communication, very organized and so easy to work with. We’ve had a great experience and may start bringing our 2 year old as well!
My son had been asking to learn to swim for years and at nine years old, I decided it was well overdue. I came across The Swim Academy by doing a search and reading reviews. We had done lessons here and there in the past, yet we saw little to no growth. We had a positive experience from inquiry to the first lesson, and throughout our entire time with The Swim Academy. Not only did my son learn valuable skills to remain safe in the water, he excelled so quickly and is now a really good swimmer. His instructor was positive and the methods being taught are highly effective. Not only does my son know how to swim, he has a newfound confidence. We were willing to travel a distance for lessons and will definitely be back for maintenance lessons. Our instructor, Keith, is amazing and we found all of the teachers to conduct themselves win the same professional manner. I will not be looking for anywhere else in the future.
We tried our daughter in multiple group swim lessons for 2 years and she barely made any progress. I read great reviews about the swim academy online so I decided to give it a try. I signed my daughter up for private lessons with Keith and it was amazing to watch how quickly she progressed. She has a hard time staying focused and Keith quickly honed in on that and tailored her lessons to help keep her attention and focus on swimming. He made it really fun and I felt like he utilized every minute of the lesson (didnt waste any of the time). At one point she got really nervous and regressed so Keith revised his lesson plan to help her overcome her hurdle and get back on track. We now have our second daughter in swim lessons with Jaime at the swim academy and have had a similar great experience. We would definitely recommend them!
My daughter had done semi-private lessons with a highly recommended teacher and in a few short lessons the teacher had her floating on her back. Then that teacher was no longer available so we switched to classes at the rec center and my daughter lost all the skills she had gained with the semi-private lessons. In a few short lessons The Swim Academy had my daughter not only back to where she had been but had even improved her skills. Very impressed with how quickly they are able to help kids improve their swimming.
Our son is seven years old and had a lot of fear associated with water and swimming. Our instructor, Keith has been incredible to work with and has helped our son so much. Our son can float, swim and is even starting to learn a little diving! Keith goes beyond just swimming techniques, he has an in depth understanding of the finest of points of breathing, overcoming underlying fears and building true confidence and safety in the water. We love swim academy so much & dont know what we wouldve done with out. Worth every penny.
My daughter and I have been in the Mom & Tot class since this spring. I have really enjoyed the small class size, and swimming in the private indoor pool. Each week the instructor has us practice different safety skills and really focus on creating good habits in and out of the pool. Keith our first instructor was a little more direct with his approach, while Stephanie adds fun time in between focused swim.
The Swim Academy is amazing! Our swim instructor is so patient and kind to us and has helped my sister and I improve tremendously in such a short amount of time! We have also witnessed our instructor work with PreK children, and the ability to transition from children and adult lessons is very impressive. The swim academy, in general, has been so great to work with, super understanding and helpful when we have had to change our schedules due to our busy college student lives. I would highly recommend the swim academy for both adult and children lessons!
The Swim Academy has been great. We love the confidence it is giving my son. We also love that they are private lessons. They have done very well with pushing my son to do better and he is thriving.
My daughter has learned to swim with confidence and safety! The teacher is fun to work with and my daughter said, It is hard work, but I am having fun!!
I absolutely love this place. My son didn’t do well in group lessons, but when I put him in a one-on-one setting, he thrived. Amanda was wonderful. We accomplished more than I set out to do. My child is like a different kid now. Totally comfortable in the water, strong, and safe. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent swim instructors!!
Amazing team !! Everyone is very professional, on time and very friendly.
My two girls, ages 3 and 5, have been with swim academy for a little over a year. We have been very satisfied with their lessons and that is why we have continued to go back week after week. We absolutely love Sydney and Megan and they have been so patient, fun and smart in the ways they keep our little ones engaged and excited to swim every week! We love the privacy and quiet of the pool and the water is always nice and warm. We definitely recommend Swim Academy!
We love Swim Academy! My daughter has excelled in her swimming and she loves Ms. Megan! She has confidence in her skills enough that she can save her life if she was to fall in. They are so patient with my son, who is afraid of the water and let him progress at his own comfort. I highly recommend The Swim Academy!
My kids learn more in one private lesson than a whole summer in group lessons!
My 3 children have been taking swim lessons from The Swim Academy for over 2 years now. I am amazed at how much they have learned over that period of time. The location is private and Convenient in relation to where we live. Sydney and Megan are the instructors and they are amazing!!! I would recommend The Swim Academy to anyone that is looking for aquatic instruction.
Kieth is a great teacher. My kids learned so much from his lessons.
Keith was an amazing instructor, he was very nice and caring to my kids.
This place came highly recommended so I was willing to pay the $30 per lesson (each lesson 30 minutes) each week. We took lessons for a total of three weeks with The Swim Academy. We cut our time short due to a different instructor each week, one week the instructor was over 10 minutes late and the third week we showed up at our scheduled time and they werent even expecting us. Apparently we were caught in a transition period. Even if we were caught in a time where the routine is changing internally, I expect the instructors to communicate with each other or take notes to make it so each lessons isnt like the first lesson and to expect us when we show up. After our third lesson, I called to let them know I was dissatisfied with the services we received and I would like to remove my son from the course. Christa, the Office Manager, told me that I would receive a credit to come back at a future time for the two lessons I paid for but didnt receive. Following that phone call, they billed my credit card for the full month (5 classes). I called them back and spoke to someone else. I told her I was willing to pay for the three weeks we received lessons but asked to be refunded for the two lessons we didnt receive or at least get credit. The woman on the phone told me not to tell her what to do, refunding is out of her control and someone would email me. Since that phone call no one emailed and I was billed for all 5 lessons and no refund/credit for the two we never used. The instructors are very nice however, the experience was completely ruined by the lack of organization and management.
The Swim Academy has been an amazing experience for my toddler. We started private lessons with Amanda at the school and her swimming skills has improved significantly. Looking forward to her being the next Katie Ledecky
Im so glad that I joined the Triathlon swimming class. The class is small, so theres lots of individual attention, and the group is very supportive, cheering each other on at events. Coach Clarissa is the best!
The Swim Academy was great! Our 3 year-old and his friend took swim classes for a few months. They had fun learning and playing together in the water while the instructor used the excitement to teach them new skills. One child loved going under the water, whereas the other did not. McKenzie was great in working with their aptitudes and personality differences. She had both of them jumping off the diving board in their 4th class, despite the lessons being their first exposure to swimming. The instructors at the swim academy are fun, patient, and skillful, and make sure the kiddos are comfortable while they encourage them into new challenges. This is a fantastic program!
I have been swimming with the Swim Academy Tri Group for a few years now. The teachers are excellent and it is always a fun group of people to train with. Great for swimmers of all abilities!
I put my 3-year-old and 5-year-old in 30 minute private lessons. The Swim Academy instructors were not just patient with my kids, they pushed them to do difficult things. The instructors also made sure to talk with me before each lesson to see if there was anything specific I wanted them to work on, and then to give me a report at the end of the lesson. My kids made great improvements. I especially like how they teach a roll over breath, so the kids learn the proper motion of rolling onto their side to breathe.
My 4 year old son just finished several months of swimming lessons with Olivia from The Swim Academy. He went from being really scared to go in the water to swimming independently, jumping from the diving board and generally loving the water. The lessons were on the expensive side, but comparable to another place I did private lessons for my older son. I originally thought the 30 min lessons might be too long for his age, but they were just right. I will return for more lessons when my youngest is a little older.
My son was terrified of water and we had a family vacation planned to Mexico. With 6 weeks left until the vacation I had tried everything and nothing was working. I reached out to The Swim Academy and asked if they could help, and they did! My sons instructor, Skyler, was awesome with him. He made him so comfortable he forgot what he was doing. He tried things that he normally wouldnt even attempt because he didnt even realize he was trying them, he was just having fun with Skyler. He went from being riddled with anxiety to at least being comfortable enough to enjoy his trip. We leave in two weeks and we cant wait! Thank you Swim Academy and thank you Skyler. My son says hes really going to miss Skyler so we might just have to come back for more lessons!
I loved everything about our experience with The Swim Academy. Within 2 weeks, I saw significant changes in my sons behavior while in the water. He was becoming less and less afraid of water and able to do things that I couldt accomplish with him. I loved the 30 min of one on one time, it was solely about my son and he really needed that. We were lucky to get the instructor we had, I loved her patience with my son and her ability to work with him on his level. It was a great experience and I would do it again.
Ive worked with a few different instructors and Ive found them all to be great. They were professional, smart, and provided me with great tips. As an adult I was a little hesitant to take lessons but the Swim Academy has made it a fun experience. Im glad I did it!
I have been really impressed with the group of teachers we have had at swim academy and the improvement in my kids confidence in the water has been amazing.
I participated in the Tri swim group on Monday Nights. I had little experience with swimming prior to this. The training was a well rounded workout with technique and intervals to improve speed and efficiency. Was very beneficial.
I am a beginner triathlete. My weakest sport has always been the swim. I am pretty much a back of the pack swimmer. At one point I told myself that it was because I was too old to learn to swim and that I would have to just try to survive the swim portion of my triathlons and then somehow make up lost time on my bike and run. Luckily, I found out about an online video coaching program from the Swim Academy. All I had to do was upload a couple of 9 second videos of me swimming. I got back a 10 minute video with feedback on my stroke, what is working for me, and what isnt working so well, along with 3 swimming drills that I could focus on to improve the not so well bit. After only 2 coaching sessions, I am seeing PROFOUND results (ie: swimming much faster and farther with FAR less effort). Not only am I feeling so much more confident in the water, I am actually starting to enjoy swimming instead of dreading it!
