Beautiful country, staff so friendly and helpful, view of Kentucky Lake from cabin was incredible!! Our cabin was very clean and had been remodeled. Barn wood decor & amenities were very well done. Short drive to Murray, KY for good food. Very clean & friendly small city! Im already looking forward to staying there again!! I highly recommend staying here!! Thank you for our making our Anniversary stay so memorable!!

Let their kids throw fish and bait all over parked vehicles and boats that rent slips there that pay good money to keep their boat safe. No one cares for new ownership much. But they are slowly bringing life back into it.

This is our familys second visit here, The first time was in 2018, not long after the now owners purchase. These 2 families that own lynnhurst; are amazing. Whatever you may need, they are so accommodating. It is super clean, the food is awesome, and the beauty is abundant. After the first trip, their family will become your family! We LOVE THESE FAMILIES!

Loved this quiet family retreat. Everyone loved it here from my 80yr old mom to my 4yr old little girl. Amazing kid and family friendly atmosphere. Family owned and operated marvelous sweet and charming staff right down to the hard working kids. We rented a cabin which had a well equipped kitchen (microwave, toaster and coffee pot), Wi-Fi, cable TV. The pool & kiddy pool had music and at night it had color changing lights which made my girls trip as they had never swam at night before. We rented a pontoon boat to take kids tubing one day, jet skis the next, paddle boards for exploring (good luck standing up) and we took our own little john boat for fishing and they had a uncovered dock with no rental fees we used for the week. This was the best away from the world trip that didnt break the bank and anything we needed the resort or marina had at reasonable prices. Cant wait to go again this will be our familys new hide away and best kept secret

By FAR the most hospitable and friendly management Ive ever delt with. Ive stayed here a week during the fall while working out on the river. They have a nice boat launch and gas pump on site for all you boaters. They have a bait shop and store on the water with just about everything you could need. They also have a lot of slips, most of which are covered. They have a wide variety of rooms available, and a couple of cabins as well. The lodge and rooms were clearly built a while back, but everything is clean and very comfortable. All utilities work perfectly, and the WIFI is actually MUCH better than most nice hotels I stay at. They have a restaurant on site as well and offer amazing home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! If youre looking for a nice get away and comfortable atmosphere, this is definitely the place to come. I can only imagine what this place will be like in summer time. Definitely gonna come back here again!

Stayed 3 nights cabin was updated and super clean . For the price I was expecting a fishing cabin what I got was a two bedroom house . The owners were very friendly and catered to us. We have already booked for next year.

Nice family owned marina. They have the biggest and best boat rental choice in my opinion. Lots of pontoons. And jetskis - which is what we rented.Nice lil home cook family restaurant too.I recommend checkin it out.

Just stopped in on vacation to get fuel man the workers there were awesome the young man that got us gas in our pontoon we didnt even have to get off the boat wished I wouldve had cash to give him for a tip but he was awesome

I was fully prepared to give this place a 5 star rating between the ease of booking, the friendliest and most helpful chat with Dennis (an owner) and the overall arrival and check in experience, however it was all downhill from there. Upon entering our rental space the power kept going out, and the entire condo was dripping with condensation, accompanied by a terrible mildew odor that never managed to go away despite our best attempts. The condo looked clean and tidy though, so we unpacked and began our fun. On our second day the power only went out twice which didn’t really cause a problem, but it made us concerned for our refrigerated items. Condensation is a huge problem in the condos and condo refrigerators. There was pooling water in the fridge constantly, and the counters and walls were always wet, no matter how much we wiped them. That night in the middle of dinner the resort RAN OUT OF PROPANE. They were nice enough to notify us, and offer solutions while they fixed the problems, but ultimately we were unable to cook in our condo or take a warm shower. They said they didn’t know they were low on propane, but later remedied it by taking the propane tank out of the poolhouse and using it for the site until further actions could be taken. (Hot water/cooking > heated pool)They allowed us to cook in their restaurant which was nice but also questionable considering current public health concerns. I could elaborate on this experience as well, but just let me say I would NOT recommend eating in the restaurant due to poor food handling and sanitation. (No gloves, shoes, food was being saved to reheat the next day, and kids/ dogs were in the kitchen while we cooked with the resort staff) We had dinner that night (around 10pm) but it was easy to laugh off and continue enjoying our vacation because how could you not laugh? During the dinner fiasco my husband proceeded to severely cut his foot on the dock and had to get 5 stitches, but that’s not the resorts fault. The following day we rented kayaks and planned to start the day off when some fun paddling around the lake. We are experienced kayakers and could tell the kayaks were not the best quality, but we paddled from the dock to our beach, and everything seemed fine. A while later we decided to take them out further into the lake where there was quite a bit of wake and slight wind, but only enough for some fun bumps, nothing even a novice would be concerned about, so we continued out. I thought my kayak felt heavy, but water didn’t seem to be collecting inside, so I just figured it was because the kayaks were cheap. About a mile and a half from the resort my partner noticed my kayak was sitting pretty low in the rear, and that’s when it started going down quick, even with my following every protocol to make sure I wasn’t collecting more water, and removing any excess. We were lucky enough to be spotted by a family in a pontoon, who toted us back to the rental dock, where my kayak was still unable to release the water that had leaked inside. We were spotted by the kid who had rented us the kayaks, but he blatantly ignored us upon arrival, and the man who had picked us up in the pontoon had to aggressively shout at the kid to come over to help us because he was trying to hide back inside the shack. The kid made every excuse under the sun to not admit fault, and even said “THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IN THAT KAYAK... AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK!” He didn’t want to give us a refund initially, suggesting we just take out different kayaks, but we eventually got refunded. We joking said we were going to tell Dennis about this, when the kid snapped back, “well he’s my dad, so go ahead.” That night the power only went out once. The next day was check-out and while we were trying to make breakfast and pack up, the power went out several times. Trust me when I say we were happy to leave, and definitely won’t be back, but will continue laughing at these memories for years to come. Overall: 2 Stars, but 5 out of 5 stitches for sure!

The hospitality from the owners and staff was amazing from the start. The food in the restaurant on the property was awesome. Great atmosphere for both family and friend gatherings. Extremely affordable lodging and boat rentals. The owner told us they had purchased this property a couple of years ago, and we could tell they had already made some major upgrades with more renovations already in process. Everything was neat and clean. Nice little beach area for swimming, corn hole or other activities as well as a well maintained beach volleyball area. We can’t wait to make the trip back again soon!

You won’t find these type of people anywhere else. Their love and service for others is indescribable. They take pride in their resort and it shows in everything they do. Their food and hospitality is amazing. They have taken a failing resort and turned it into something incredible. We haven’t even left, and we are already talking about booking for next year (our 3rd year in a row). There are other places closer to our home and easier to travel to but we are unwavering in our love for these people and this place. Take a chance, book your family vacation or fishing expedition, and you won’t be disappointed. We love you Lynnhurst! See you again soon

Though they were actually closing down for the winter sowere limited in foods available, they pleasantly offered toprepare what they had we might want. The views & staff were excellent. What food we purchased was reasonable price & delicious. Looking forward to going back during season.

Just returned from staying at the Lynnhurst Family Resort in their Family Retreat Unit that sleeps 28 people. If you are looking for warm and clean lake water, very few boats in the water and good fishing then this is your spot. We had 20 people this year and always have the best time. Pontoon boat rental was a brand new boat. The new owners are super friendly, gracious and accommodating hosts always willing to help. The food in their Dutch Kitchen restaurant is absolutely delicious. They are a breath of fresh air from the previous owners! This is now a thriving and welcoming resort. They have made a lot of improvements already, including a new pool and new covered boat docks. Make sure you come down and check out this great vacation spot! We will be back again and again.

The best boat trip ever!

Absolutely loved Lynnhurst Family Resort! The family atmosphere was relaxing and fun. The owners are very accommodating and make sure everything is up to what you need. The docks and bait shop are wonderful, docks are roomy. The fishing was fun, even caught a few!! We stayed in cabin 4, it was just remodeled and we loved it. Plenty of room and had everything we needed. The family restaurant had the best food fresh made and so delicious!! We bought their homemade strawberry/rhubarb jam to bring home to IL. So much to do, wish we could have stayed longer. We are already planning next visit!!

Our stay at Lynnhurst, a family owned and operated resort, was delightful-our cabin was a recent remodel, clean and cozy tucked into a shady nook by the pool. We enjoyed homemade meals and desserts at the restaurant on site. The boat dock and rentals (boats, jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards) were a nice feature as well as convenient location right on Blood River which runs into Kentucky Lake. We will be back!

Staff were friendly and very efficient. All requests met with a smile and completed timely and well. Facilities very clean, some a little dated which new ownership is addressing but adds to ambience of place.

The house was amazing, super clean, everything worked, air conditioning was perfect for the hot summer days, and WiFi was a lot better than I expected if that is a concern. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. The food is the best I have ever had at any resort. I left satisfied every morning and night.

Stopped by for a breakfast with coworkers. This place is a hidden gem in our community. The new owners have done so much to improve the location and it shows! Eat a meal with a waterfront view or stay in one of their cabins. The food was farm fresh and made from scratch. When we commented on how great the coffee was we found out they roast the beans themselves! PS try the jam. It’s delicious.

You really need to experience Lynnhurst to understand. This is a Christian Family business and its shows in every detail. Their prices are extremely competitive. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave they treat you more like family than a customer. I felt like it was home and was extremely comfortable. The entire business is very clean. I wont get started on the home cooking they provide but, if you do not go experience it the you aint vacationing right....

MY family and I, all the way from my father to my grandchildren, enjoyed Lynnhurst to the point we are already making plans to return next summer!!!! Fun for every age and everything you need for a lake vacation all in one spot. Highly Recommend

This was a great place for large familys, the only thing that didnt work out for us is that we were unable to rent a boat and that was something my family was really looking forward too even though I asked three days in advance they were all booked and I was told that I would be contacted if there were any cancellations so when I went back to check the marina was full of boats but I was never contacted. Also the bathrooms are super small you can barely turn around in the shower Im 6ft 2in and it was kinda of a hassle.

Kids were bored, one TV in the whole cabin, we showered with shoes on in the shower house by the pool because we wanted to spend as little time as possible in our room due to the smell of mold/mildew/musty diapers. Pictures on website are of the one & only updated cabin. We were so glad to be home in the comfort of our own home after this vacation. All of our clothes stunk from the smell, we rented a boat, for $250 plus & had to pay $50 in gas as well....we spent over $1200 on a vacation that I wouldnt even call much of a vacation. We actually stopped at a facility closer to our home, on the way home, with brand new clean cabins for $120 a night...I feel sick to my stomach for spending the money we did.

We came here for a fishing tournament, over the span of a few days when we left we felt like we were leaving our extended family we havent seen in a few years.  The families that keep this place running (kids included) really have their hearts into it.  The food was great especially the pumpkin custard pie.  Yes the rooms need updating but they have everything we need to suit our stay.  We stayed in 26 with the kitchen.  My son loved the futon and I cooked each day.  There was basic kitchen tools, pots pans, cutlery, dishes, toaster etc.  For a room meant for fisherman it was better than most Ive stayed in.  All in all it was a great time.  There is a lot of walking to get you from our place, room 26, to the main cabin mostly up and down windy roads.  Over the 3 days We were there I tracked a little over 18 miles and just under 100 flights of stairs(hills) Please note that if you choose to stay here, which I highly recommend, over look the little updates that need to be done and focus on the natural beauty of the place and the friendship and fellowship it will bring.  Thank you for opening your home for us! We look forward to staying with you in the fall!

My wife and I grabbed a room here to get a couple days of fishing in. This is a great spot to spend some time at the lake.The people were super helpful and friendly and they are doing work all over the place making improvements.The rooms are dated but comfy and clean. Great fishing all over this area of the lake. If you are looking for a place for a fun family get away or an extended fishing trip I think this is your spot.We enjoyed it and will be back again.

This is an awesome resort! It is under new ownership, and has been totally updated. The owners are warm,friendly and super helpful. There is a restaurant on site,for good home cooked meals. New pool and laundry in the works. I would recommend this resort to anyone!

This resort is right around the corner from my familys lake house, so we visit here often. The owners and family are exceptionally friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. We rented one of their pontoons last weekend and had a great time on the water. Food is excellent and the views are spectacular. Owners are working to remodel all the cabins. Many have a little age on them, but are always clean and comfortable. The newly remodeled ones are amazing! I would highly recommend LFR is you are looking for a great lake stay.

Great family place. The cabins were really clean and nice. Love that they allow animals. The only thing I didn’t approve of was how fast the staff drive around the resort on there golf carts and four wheelers and allowing there children to play on them as well.

The hospitality is unbeatable here! The current owners, formerly Amish from Northern Indiana, will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is the best possible. The food is outstanding, the scenery view is breathtaking, the new pool is amazing, and the atmosphere is bathed in relaxation! And...you may just find Jesus Christ in a very real way here!

Lynnhurst is absolutely a dream place for a relaxing get away! The new owners are absolutely so kind and hospitable. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect. Threw together a last minute fishing trip over spring break. Yes, a little early in the season but fishing is worth while no matter the weather! Stayed in cabin 28. Cabin was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for our 3 generation holiday. Was nice to have the separate dining and family room area to spread out in the evening. We were a group of 4, but would easily be comfortable with 6-8. Everything worked, no handyman projects we could find (anyone who takes early season trips knows what I mean!). Joe and Susan were very friendly and accommodating. We rented the pontoon boat and, despite 20+ mph winds, had a nice day on the lake. Boat ran well (necessary in the wind) and we caught some early season white crappie. I recommend Kentucky Beach to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and family-owned destination for fishing. I would also like to recommend Murray Bait Co on 94 between Kentucky Beach and Murray, KY. Very nice older gentleman with a very well stocked bait shop. I will be visiting both again this season!

To be clear, my visit here was a preliminary visit to determine its suitability as the location for a large family reunion. And thats where were going! The owners were very accommodating to our requests to check out the place, and happily showed us every lodging option available, their kitchen, and other parts of the property. All lodgings are pretty close to the lake, so anywhere will be nearby enough to have good access to that. Theres a large building thats sort of like a compound that can sleep 28, I believe, as well as some cabins and motel-like rooms. It looked like they were all full of smaller beds, but we heard several times that they had the means to push them together into king beds in the rooms. Theres an abundance of outside (and inside) areas for getting together to hang out and cook/eat. Many of the lodgings have kitchenette areas and fridges. I think thatll be extra helpful because it takes sort of a long time to get back into the resort, and it seems really far from the rest of civilization. In a way, thats what a resort is for, but well be making sure to bring everything we need with us on the way in! Also, nobody in our scouting party had any cell phone service the whole time we were back there--Talk about a way to enforce family time! There is a guest WiFi signal, though. We havent stayed the night or eaten there yet, but it looks like itll be great for our group!

We just had our second vacation here and it was even better than the first. Joe and Susan were the best. Rented a boat and spent a nice day on the lake. So relaxing! I always love the time I spend here! I see a lot of people with negative comments about the owners. I think theyre sweet, and very accommodating. Also, people are complaining about the condition of the cabins. We have stayed in cabin 4 both times. It was clean and cozy. We arent 5 star people so we were fine with this. But we also didnt go on vacation to spend time in the room. We were mostly enjoying the beautiful outdoors. I would recommend this resort over and over!

My wife and I are from notheast Ohio and met our friends from Florida for a weeks stay in early May, 2018. We were impressed by the determination of the owners to maintain a comfortable, pleasant atmosphere and facility. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning.

When we first arrived, lets just say house keeping didnt do a very good job. But shortly after I went to the office James came out and went out of his way to rectify the situation. James the owner and James the guitar picker are awesome and both are more than willing to help with any issue, and both of them want to give you the best stay they can possibly give. The rest of the crew/staff were nice but not on the same level. Pros: 1: pool is shallow but nice. Kids loved it.2: the docks are big and spacious and easy to get around on.3: the bait shop is nice and has a decent selection.4: its a nice environment, u dont need to lock ur doors and it feels safe and cozy.5: the 2 Jamess really made the whole stay worth while. I havent decided if Im gonna go back next year or not but if I do it will because of them two. They really went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible. Thanks guys!Cons: 1: stuff is outdated, but they are updating so dont hold that against them. 2: the docks need to be lit up better for night fishing.3: its hilly and hard to get around unless you rent a golf cart, which is over priced. 4: the WiFi is ok during the week useless during the weekends.5: the TV most of the channels are blocked, guide and all the dont work. But that didnt matter much except for the stormy days. Overall I would say 4 out of 5 stars. Had a good time. Kids had a blast. I would consider going back. Advice; if u stay here and have any issues, seek out James. He is very down to earth and genuinely wants to make ur stay as good as he can.UPDATE. They did accommodate my puppies. I greatly appreciate that. Just giving an honest review. I think you guys are doing a good job of updating resort and in time Im sure you will have it like you want it. We had a good time there and I would return.

New owners as of 2018! They are fantastic people. Many renovations and upgrades going on. Wifi covers the entire resort and is rock solid. Sits 2 minutes from the best crappie fishing on the lake.

My wife and I have been going here for 4 years and stay for two weeks at a time if possible. We stayed here for two weeks in July 2016 in the Family Retreat. Perfect place to get away, sit in the sun, and fish! We had several visitors during the trip. Our friends and their two daughters, my mother, and our son. All were treated well by Joe and Susan (Owners). The location is perfect for those who like to boat/ski etc as Blood River provides great area off the main lake. As far as fishing, its KY lake shouldnt have to say anything more, but I have been fishing on this lake for 40 years and love the Blood River location. They are in process of getting a new pool, but the beach is still available for floating. If you are looking for a fancy room to hang out in, dont go here. We dont spend much time in the room except to eat and sleep. This place is about location, location, location.

My wife and I have been staying at Kentucky Beach Resort now going on 10 years. I love it and cant wait to go back every year. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, swim, fish and go boating then this is the place for you. As stated in other reviews its not the Hilton on the lake, but you can sure bet that your rooms will be clean and neat upon your arrival. They are constantly making updates to the rooms every year. Kitchens are well stocked with anything you will need during your stay, and if you cant find what you need Joe and Sue the owners will get it for you as soon as possible.
