Took my son here recently to have a little fun. He loves going to the arcade. We went early on a weekday so it wasnt very crowded. Theyve started using cards to pay for the games, which is convenient since you dont have to carry around a big bag of nickels and it also keeps track of any tickets that youve won at the skill games, even allowing you to keep your money and ticket balances for a return visit another day, but its also a little sad that you dont get the same nostalgic feeling of pumping coins into the machine. I understand that with the way the world is these days that its to reduce the chances of spreading germs and I have no issues with that. The selection of games could be better, but they do have some pretty awesome pinball machines. Didnt have any issues with the staff. They were polite enough and patient with my son as he picked out items to spend our tickets on.

Nickel Mania is everything a nickel arcade should be. Lots of games, lots of tickets, a little dingy, perfect. They have a good variety of classic games and new ones. There is enough variety of games that my 2 and 5 year old were as entertained as I was. The machines sometime ate our coins and and a few times the tickets were out but the staff was helpful....it is a nickel arcade. We will be back again.

Oh such disappointment has come from Nickel Mania. Went a few weeks back with my daughter who LOVES playing games. They had switched to cards instead of nickels and the magic has been lost. Yes it is more convenient to have all your $$$ and tickets on one little neat card but so much is lost from old school arcades of dropping coins into the slot to play. Now with the cards its hard to know how much money you have. As my daughter said when we left...They have to change their name to Card Mania now. You dont get to play with Nickels anymore!

A fun place for kids and adults!!!! They have a mix of older games and newer, games that give tickets and games that dont. Pay an entrance fee and change out for nickels. They have baggies that they ask you to recycle when you are done which is so nice. When it is time to count your tickets they have multiple automatic ticket counters, some were out of order when I was there. They have prizes for tickets and you could rack up your tickets to save for something big.

They have a great redemption center and newer games that are maintained and not broken. I only gave it 4 stars because they gave converted the games to using a card instead of taking actual nickels which also loads your tickets on. For me that takes away some of the joy. Also, they only have a few games that cost only 1 nickel. They do have a huge selection of pinball games.

Went to a birthday party here and I hope I never have to go back. It was over crowded, I do not know how it wasnt a fire hazard. The games are right on top of each other and they let way to many people in. A few of the games werent working and you didnt know until you paid and the game selection isnt great. It is a parents nightmare. The kids did enjoy themselves, which is why I gave it an extra star.

Staff was friendly. Good selection of 80’s and 90’s arcade games, which is what I was primarily interested in. Overall condition was pretty good considering the age of these games. Their pinball selection was also great with stand-out hits like Addam’s family and Twilight Zone. You can get a lot of mileage on just $5.

Me and my friends used to come here once to twice weekly. Now, we go maybe once every two months. Ever since they’ve transitioned from “actual nickels” to card-based credits the whole establishment has gone down in quality and that good ol’ fashioned sense of arcade nostalgia. First off, more than a few of the games have increased their costs to play by a few nickels. This usually isn’t a big deal but it’s most of the machines. This means the typical “5$ of nickels” gives you less time of enjoyment, less experience of each game in the arcade, and less time to find a game that you’re willing to spend more nickels on (I hope you’re reading this Nickelmania). With this, there’s typically two sections of the arcade- the ticket based and the non-ticket based. With the recent changes, the quantity of ticket based games has been reduced tremendously and bigger, more costly machines have taken their place. The games that have been taken out worth mentioning are the “interactive” nickel games- where the actual nickel plays a part in your chances of the winning. These games, although not always the biggest ticket-givers, were the most addictive games in my opinion. You would feel more accomplished when you finally got a prize and it would make you want to play it again even if you’re low on nickels (another note to take Nickelmania). The current, modern games that took place of these interactive games are averaged at 5-6 nickels. This gives you maybe 4 chances to get some sort of ticket prize and then continue playing, despite how expensive the game is. With these games, you would only be able to play them a maximum of 20 times (if you get the usual 5$ of nickels). Most people typically wouldn’t want to waste it all on one game, however, because they want to play as many games as possible all while getting the most tickets. Even if they don’t always end up with the most tickets, they get to experience more game and get the feeling that they “could’ve gotten more tickets”. These modern-games crush all hopes at ending the night with anything more than 120 tickets and they crush all hopes of wanting to return to this establishment. Nickelmania used to be my favorite place in the world to spend those vivid summer nights that are so clear in memory they feel like they were yesterday. I went to Nickelmania yesterday and I can’t even remember what prizes I got or what clothes I was wearing or anything other than the obnoxious flash of lights that the card reader machines glare off... on every single game. Nickelmania modernized in attempts to increase profits and customer base, but failed to recognize the long-term consequences. I will not be returning to Nickelmania for quite some time (and not because of recent events). Where I used to spend almost $400 dollars a year going to Nickelmania every week, I have only spent $7.25 this year. The nickel used to mean something in my life, it was the coin I would save knowing in the back of my mind it would be later spent at Nickelmania. Now, all I see is change, not each coin individually. Nickelmania “changed” and now all I see is a modern day rip-off that jumped the gun and just lost a lifetime customer.Thank you for reading, I hope this helped.

Fantastic arcade with around 10 pinball machines, a group of older machines/retro remakes, and newer games. You pay $2.50 per person in the door and then buy bags of nickels in $5 or $10 increments. We came for the pinball (especially the remastered version of Medieval Madness) and were not disappointed! There was a dedicated staff person working on maintaining the pinball machines while we were there. It is clear they take great care of their machines. I only saw one out of order sign in the whole arcade. We stayed for the bevy of other arcade games (both ticket dispensing and non-ticket). It was amazing to play some older games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Star Wars Arcade all the way through without having to pay an insane amount. I was able to spend a dollar to complete them both! Some machines take multiple nickels (pinball is anywhere from 3 to 9 nickels a game) and the pinball games do not have the free game match enabled. All in all a fun place great for all ages!

Great nickel arcade. What really makes this place special is that they have a line of top-notch pinball machines. They have some of the highly sought-after classics and even some newer ones. Usually a nickel arcade has a bunch of filler games, but I feel like this location sticks to high quality games. Pinball machines are also a huge pain to maintain and they do a great job of keeping them all in good working condition.

To be honest, this is a great cheat place to have childhood memory, obviously you wont get fancy modern machines like Dave And Buster, or Round 1... etc. But you will enjoy holding real tickets and trade for little joys. ANOTHER GREAT ARCADE HAD STEPPED DOWN.I was personally a much bigger fan of this place when it actually ran on nickels. Now its just another average modern arcade with a card that holds ticket balance and nickel balance. I cant dislike most games there cause theyve got more play with friends and family type games. But theres been a special place in my heart for authentic arcades, like how it used to be. Theyve gotten ride of alot of my old favorite games that were strictly nickel games, but to many this might not even see this as a bad thing in their eyes. I dunno, guess Im just an oldie. Have to look for another ACTUAL nickel arcade again for me.

These guys did a great job with our daughters birthday party this weekend. They were friendly and accommodating. The machines were mostly operational, and the prizes were cute even for the kids who didnt wind up with many tickets. The prices were very reasonable as well, which is why we chose the venue.
