I am a beginner at yarning. I was lucky to have Meg help me. She educated me about options in what kind of yarn to start with, explained the different kinds of needles, and introduced me to a loom. She even gave me a tutorial on how to use it. The one-to-one attention was something you just don’t get anymore. It was so helpful. Thank you, Meg. I’m off to a fun start thanks to you!

Michaels is always a fun place to visit. Their staff is helpful and friendly and the store is clean and well organized. We had a blast at Halloween. Keep up the good work.

Very nice and helpful staff. They helped me carry a bunch of frames out to my car. When I got home I discovered one was broken and they let me exchange it very easily!

The place to go for any and all craft & art projects plus the holiday items are unique than other retail stores.

The staff is super friendly and the store is clean, bright and well organized. The prices on some items can be a bit high, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, but they carry a wide selection of all sorts of crafts. If you cant wait for the mail, you will most likely find what you need here!

This is a good-sized stores with a variety of craft goods from beads and scrap-booking to paint supplies and holiday supplies.

I couldnt find what I was looking for and they were severely understaffed. I tried asking one of the workers for help but they brushed me off because they were too busy. I walked out with half of what I came looking for and had to order the rest off their website. Felt very frustrated leaving

Got an ad for fancy sewing scissors for making covid masks on clearance available in store, went to the store to purchase item, item wasnt there. ended up buying other things which is probably the purpose of these sales to begin with and now i feel like a dupe.ugh.bummed.hats off to all the front line workers... they were great.

I really love Michaels, but damn I never knew finding an employee on the floor to help you was this hard. Ive had to leave the store empty-handed due to no one available to assist me. This type of experience send to be the norm with the majority of the waterfront businesses. I love Michaels, I now stay away from this one... Shame

Always a lovely place to pick up some things for doing crafts. They also have lots of stationary, pens, markers, and crafts for kids. Theres almost always some kind of sale on something you will probably want to pick up.

Has exactly what you need when it comes to art supplies n such. The store is always clean and in order. There always seems to be good deals to take advantage of and the employees are always helpful when it comes to finding what you need. Also, easily accessible, as its one of the first shops in the Waterfront you drive past if you enter a cross the bridge.

Empty shelves all over the store

Theyre so nice and helped me pick out things to decorate a poinsettia (which Ive never had a poinsettia before so needed guidance) they even waited for me to check out 10 min after closing. Thanks Michaels staff!

I love this store.. The employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. In my last experience the cashier paid attention to my items. We discussed why I was purchasing the items. She then informed me of some equipment that I needed were on sale for great price. I was very happy and even though I wasnt planning make a large but i did.

I go like to shop at Michaels esp. this store at the water front. My only complaint is I think the prices are higher than when Pat C atans was in business. I still like the way Pat Catans displayed their made up forals . Just my opinion. I will still shop at the Michaels but miss Pat Catans.

Over the past two months, Ive visited this Michaels Arts & Crafts location several times. As a technologist by daily trade now, I usually utilize any organizations online ordering features.All that said, Im thoroughly impressed in a number of aspects!I was welcomed into your location (critical plus for proper client service there). I was, easily, able to locate an associate to ask a question on my first visit. As soon as I shared that I was a former Michaels CCF, your custom framing shop staff began, appropriately, speaking my language.To this very day, I thoroughly enjoy the memories of the time I myself spent at Michaels Arts & Crafts. Perhaps most importantly though, its heartening to know that memories arent forgotten by your organization either.

Theres so much available to meet a crafters needs. I had especially fine help while checking out yesterday.

Supervisor/manager (Amanda?) was RUDE, very aggressive & condescending towards other workers, pointing in their faces, yelling & screaming in front of customers. very uncomfortable to watch while in line, never coming back. left my cart & walked right out.

I like Michaels its a great place ! Always very clean An organized. And easy to find what youre looking for. Plus a lot of other stuff i pick up along the way lol

Truthfully I remember craft stores being more... but I guess its like everything else its inter webbed to death... but the staff was very nice. We made due with the supplies they had available

We shop here a lot. We have a 15 year old who loves to make t shirts. She has her own heat press and other shirt making contraptions. It would be nice it you would sell more products for this craft. Your selections are limited. Your staff is not very knowledgeable about it. We have to go to a large distributor to buy product for her.

Love the store. Great variety of items. The reason for only 3 stars is because I had a bad experience twice with the same rude gentleman employee in the frame section picking up an online order and the other reason is I picked up an online order for a 5 pack of t-shirt transfers, got home and seen it was taped shut so out mustve been a return. After opening out I seen there was no t-shirt transfers inside and was replaced with plain white printer paper. If they receive a return that was obviously opened, why would you put out back on the shelf to resale!!!!

There are super interesting things sold here. Everything you need to develop your creativity and manifest it. The prices can be better, but you can find items on very attractive sales. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The cashier even included a cupon in our purchase which we were not aware of but applied an extra 20% discount on top of the items on sale we bought.

She was happy to walk me to the section personally, give me other ideas, and add some sparkle to my project. So happy with the excellent customer service and to have creative associates helping out.

Such a terrible experience. I usually go to the Pittsburgh mills mall store and I now work in the Waterfront so I decided to go there. I bought “the happy planner” custom calendar/planner. I spent $80 on it customizing everything I wanted my planner to have and was super excited to finally have one that had everything I needed. I even got the cool folder inserts and budget planning guide. When I put everything together I realized that all the pages just have slits in them and they just slide onto the middle rings of the planner. Unfortunately the pages pop out constantly and get bent and folded up and it isn’t easy at all to turn multiple pages at a time. So I decided to exchange my customized planner for just a regular one seeing as how I couldn’t use the one I had. I went to this store to exchange it and the woman in charge was so rude to me. She wasn’t understanding or even slightly helpful. I had packaging and the materials for everything except a small sheet of stickers that went with a 502 page calendar section. ONE LITTLE PAGE OF STICKERS I happened to misplace when I literally bought 9 different packages of papers. She wouldn’t exchange it for me at all. I am so upset about this because I had such a terrible experience and such a waste of money and the ignorance of the staff is disgusting. I’ve never returned anything in my life to a michaels and will never ever give them my business again(I am a rewards member UNFORTUNATELY). I can’t believe someone would act like that to me. She wouldn’t make eye contact, apologize or even explain why I had to have this little paper of stickers which I think is ridiculous. She even told me now that I’m returning it, it will have to be thrown away. Oh I’m sorry that I got something that LITERALLY FALLS APART IF YOU USE IT. I’ve managed 3 different retail stores and I would never ever give a customer experience like that. Don’t ever go to this location if you actually want customer service.

Love this store. Go in for one thing walk out with a bag full. So many decorating ideas for Halloween, Christmas, Fall, Winter & Weddings etc. If your not crafty you will be when you walk out!!

Great sales on frames and a decent variety of other items.Bought a frame, glass cracked during transport, and was told it was store policy to not accept returns for the scenario. Manager was kind enough to offer an exchange for another frame. I dont normally review, but this gesture deserves recognition. Thank you for the favor!

This store is massive in size. Well organized in art supplies. Many workshops available for beginners.

I ordered online and went to pick up in store. It was pretty straight forward but not being familiar with the store a couple more signs wouldve been nice. I had to wait a little but thankfully another employee came to assist with the line and he was very friendly.

I go there for craft products that i cant get anywhere else.

I give 3 stars because they have a lot there and the store is clean with helpful staff. My issue is that they have a lot of over priced stuff...seriously I found most of what I was looking to buy elsewhere for more than half the price of what they were charging!!! If you dont mind paying their exuberant prices have at it.

I understand that working retail can be exhausting, and especially at a chain craft store. And I also understand that I got to the store at 8:54pm, six minutes before you close. However, when your employees are staring at me through the doors with an apologetic smile because youve already locked me out, it puts a really bad taste in my mouth.Please remain open during your regular business hours. I come to this store at least twice a month, and I appreciate the convenience of having a fairly wide selection of supplies that I cant find elsewhere in town. It feels as though you dont care if I shop at your store when you wont honor your labeled store hours.You cant wait six minutes? You cant even wait THREE minutes?At least you have some nice coupons.

Great store. Have had issues with items being in stock. ie... yarn. Staff is always pleasent and easy to work with. Dont know if they have store only specials as other stores do. Easy in and easy out. Do like the grab boxes they sell for seasonal merchandise. Acquired some really good items.
