Ryptic Room Escape Mountain View

The Mad Hatter escape room is an excellent way to spend time with friends and family. The staff did an excellent job explaining the game and was very helpful throughout the game as well. This is something that everyone should experience at least once. Anyone can play at any age.

Kevin WAS Absolutely a great host. He made sure everyone had fun. The theme was Alice in Wonderland and was executed nicely.

Unusual room where you try to solve 4 different rooms 5mn at a time.Some puzzles were not simple, and it was a big jarring to have to change rooms that quickly (then again, its also part of the challenge).I would say that with a group of fewer than 6, it becomes harder for sure.We finished all the puzzles with 3 seconds to spare, but turns out we still lost because you had to do extra steps at the end that we didnt know about.This is the first escape room I didnt finish in time. I guess if you like a challenge, thats a good thing :)

Good place for team activity.

We had a great time. Having multiple teams compete against each other to solve the same puzzles made it more exciting. One of the better escape rooms weve been to.

This place is great! The mad hatter escape room was really hard, which of course is great! My group and I actually escaped with 22 second left to spare! I believe they said that the escape room we did only had a 25% success rate, which makes escaping feel so great. The GM that guided us in the escape room was terrific. He was there to direct us and give us clues if we needed it. It was a great experience!

Really awesome escape room. Very fast-paced due to transitioning from room-to-room, and hard-but-fair puzzles. Excellent customer service as well, had great communication with the hosts when I had some uncertainty about how many people might show up. Highly recommended.

This was one of our favorite rooms weve done and weve done many. We didnt escape, but still felt accomplished. Use those clues because they really do go away! Our GM Anna was awesome!

Pretty fun escape room. This one is different as you only get 5 minutes per room x 3 rounds and the puzzles are reset after each round in the room.

We had a great time i just would suggest maybe some kind of instruction for each room. Just at least to know what we should be doing. Prime example would be the green table. Other than that the staff was amazing and interactive my kids had a blast for their first time at an escape room

Very well designed and carefully balanced! Solid theme, very satisfying experience. Time-sliced format lets you compete with friends without getting in each others way.

Very fun and right in my workplaces backyard, so to speak. The puzzles were electronically tied to the room lights so when you solved one it was a bit dramatic. Looking forward to when they change up the puzzles!

I booked Escape the MadHatter for a corporate event and the team loved it. The staff was great and the game itself was dynamic, challenging and very well thought out. I highly recommend Ryptic for anyone who loves good engaging fun!

Fun evening! We went with our teenagers and had a great time. Challenging puzzles and fun theme.

Lots of fun. Maybe a bit too much noise in the puzzles, but theyre trying to be edgy and different and I think they do a good job. We escaped and it was NOT easy but very rewarding.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Game started on time. Puzzles hard enough to keep up entertained.

Weve been to several escape rooms but nothing like this! The game fit its theme perfectly and there are so many puzzles to solve! What is really great is that there are many different types of puzzles, which allowed each of our group an opportunity to shine. And, just when you think you are done, theres more to do!

We had our Directors offsite here - so much fun! We will definitely be back!

We had lots of fun even if we didnt escape. It is a very different design from other escape rooms and the challenge is much greater for it. I recommended that they renew some pieces, the wear and tear marks give extra clues ;)

Quirky but fun place. The game is pretty challenging and there are layers of things to figure out in order to solve the team challenges.

Fun and very unique escape room experience.

It’s a really well done, cute escape room game! The game master was wonderful and helpful, and made the game so much better.

A glitch on their website allowed me to double book spots that had already been taken. I was given less than two hours notice that my reservation was being cancelled, and I didnt notice the calls or e-mails until it was too late. My date and I were in the escape room about to start the game, when an employee pulled us aside and told us we would have to leave. I got a full refund and 50% off a future game, but that didnt seem like enough compensation for the embarrassment and inconvenience. It would have ruined the date if we hadnt found something else to do.

Really enjoyed this escape room. When we did it, it was composed of 4 rooms, which rotate at 5 min intervals. Solving each room gives you a clue to solve the final puzzel. The whole experience is 1hr, so there are basically 3 rounds. However, every room has a clue you need solve the final puzzel, but you dont need that clue to solve room... So if you havent unlocked the final puzzel by the end of round 2 you are going to have to have been super observant to complete the final puzzel.As with all escape rooms team work and communication is paramount!Would recommend! Hope you all enjoy!

We did the Mad Hatter puzzle here and it was very fun. It kept you moving and questioning the whole time and it went by very fast. Some of the decorations and props were a little cheesy/cheap looking which is why it didnt get 5 stars as it took away from the illusion a bit. Still highly recommend and I would go again!

Such a fun experience, and our game master Anna was great!

The escape room comes in four parts and some are harder to solve than others. Recommend a team of at least five for the difficulty and time needed. Some of the room components can be refreshed (e.g. whiteboard with burnt in markings,) so I hope management does that eventually. Service was superb (friendly, accommodating host) and booking was simple and hassle free. Well worth the experience!

We went as two couples on an afternoon of fun. The place isnt big, just one big room, separated into different colored rooms of puzzles. We had done many escape the rooms before, but never one where you raced against other teams, so that was a more fun concept than we had expected, especially since we finished first. The puzzles were of good quality and fairly novel, and the staff upbeat and helpful. Its definitely a worthwhile experience, but I feel as though the price is a little bit expensive, although from how many people showed up, maybe its justified by the demand. Will definitely recommend to others. Its a more active way to spend time with friends than going to a movie theatre.

This was our first time doing an escape game and it was a blast. We escaped the Mad Hatter with 30 seconds left to spare! Our Mad Hatter was fantastic! The game was stimulating and challenging enough for us that we need help. Our Mad Hatter gave as tips/hints but never gave it away. I highly recommend this place!

If you havent done this, do it asap. A great exercise for team building and teasing your unused brain cells :)I did it for the 2nd time and enjoyed !

Beware, escapists, this room is very basic and not so well designed!- The setting is very poor: a few items that recall the Alice in Wonderland theme, but it all looks very empty otherwise. Nothing really puts you in the atmosphere.- There are 4 rooms to solve, each room has only a couple of items that can be worked on in parallel, so for teams of 6, there is a lot of watching others do.- You only have 5 minutes to solve each room before you *must* move to the next one, and you have 3 attempts in each room (hence a total of 15 minutes in each room)... However, if youve solved one room the first time you get there, you still have to go back twice and then wait for 5 minutes without anything to do!!! What the?! Thats a lot of wasted time... That is just a terrible design!- The puzzles are OK, but then again, you have 2 puzzles in each room for 6 people... At least theres no key locks, phew!Overall, it looks like an old escape room from the early 2000, which could really use a refresh. With all the space, they could do at least 2, maybe 3 great escape rooms, but at the moment, it looks overall cheap, old and, sorry to say, is not very well designed :-/

We did an Alice in Wonderland themed room here. Had fun interactive rooms and puzzles. The one thing I didnt like was having to rotate rooms after five minutes, but that also makes it harder. Great staff and close location. Sort of hard to locate in the back where it is, but we got there in plenty of time and everyone had a great time!

It was pretty good. We made it out and the puzzles were interesting. Without a couple of hints though I don’t think we would have ever solved it. Staff was great.

Friendly instructors!! Rooms could have been more dramatic. Didnt get the feeling that we were stuck. And without that feeling, theres no happiness in escaping.

Ryptic Room Escape is a great way to spend an hour or so with family, friends, or co-workers. We had a great time solving the puzzles. The team at Ryptic Room Escape was friendly and put the whole experience together nicely. Highly recommended.

We completed the rooms with only 9 seconds to spare. Played with my parents and son, and we all had a great time. The gamemaster was friendly and helpful. Id recommend this escape room.

EXCELLENT! We did the Mad Hatter experience and with two aged nine in our party of six it was perfect. Everyone participated, contributed, and had a great time. We will be back and we will encourage others to give it a go.

I went with my 12-year-old and two of his friends for his birthday. It was exactly what he had wanted! The rooms start out being really confusing, and you have this stress of a limited time in each place to solve the clues (you get to revisit later). We had to work really hard and use all three of our clues, but eventually we figured it out. We were there with two groups of eight adults each, and one of those groups did not end up escaping! It was just the right level of challenge.

We loved our experience at Ryptic Room Escape Mountain View. We were planning to play with a couple of friends and unfortunately they couldnt make it so we were just the two of us with my husband. It was not that easy, the rythme of the enigmas was great, the woman who was there was perfect and we had a really good time, even if we were only 2 and it is designed for 6. I highly recommend !

Unique take on escape the room. When we attended, it was Mad Hatter themed with room rotations to escape the game rather than escaping a single room. Our team had a lot of fun and was a good team building experience.

The staff was awesome. It was a fun experience and fun way to spend a company/employee outing. Would definitely recommend. The larger the group the better!!
