There is a lot of potential to be realized.The river along here has some very nice views. We never did find a restroom, but there is construction. The wooded area along the river is strewn with trash, broken beer bottles, cans and various intimate care items. We had our adolescent kids with us and would have rather they did not see what they saw, but it is the world they will grow up in.A little maintenance crew effort would make this an excellent park.

Park is always clean. Bathroom are clean. Easy ramps to get boats and wave runners in and out of water

Easy excess to the water just steps away from the parking lot. My husband and I went kayaking and got stuck on a sand hill but it was worth it. The park will be open until the end of October

This had really great boat access. Both for putting in larger boats and for dropping kayaks. Lots of flat areas where you could walk a kayak into the water. Boaters on the river were considerate of the yakers.

Could be great if it was cleaner. Lots of glass on the beach and no garbage cans anywhere.

Very pretty. A nice and quiet trail running next to the canal and the river at parts.There is some construction happening at parts of the trail, so be aware of that.

This place is a gem! Park along the river, borders Rt47, the Illinois River, and the Illinois-Michigan Canal, boat launch to the River, Jet Ski launch, running water restrooms, expansive parking, grass area for picnics, and general outdoor activities. Walking distance from all of downtown Morris, with convenient path to downtown business district. Wooded coves on the far East, and west halfs of the park. I+M canal path connects to Gerhard Woods State Park 2 miles west, as well as countless other destinations across northeast IL. Caution: Park is in Flood Plain, and after big rains will be closed due to submergment.

Great place to get in the river it gets busy and parking will fill up have spoke to a lot of people that have had trailers damaged in parking lot or tuck damaged mostly hit and run no notes left so park at own risk

Stratton State Park is a peaceful and restful place to sit and watch the river.

Nice and easy launch for access to the Illinois river. Been using it for almost two decades. Could use new lane markers to give the new comers to the boating life an idea of where the staging, entrance and exit lanes are. Also a couple of large no wake signs would be helpful as too many boaters and jet skiers tend to speed by with no regard to people launching or retrieving their boats.

Great place to take your JET SKI out for a ride.Not crowded with alot of people, and sometimes its just me and another person out on the river. Nice town too.

Its peaceful to just sit by the water and watch boats and birds.

Great for boating as long as you can maneuver well. Sometimes gets busy so nothing too big or you may have issues turning around and avoiding some of the floaters.

This looks like a great place to launch a boat. It is definitely the place to observe geese! If we had had more time, we would have parked, sat on a bench, and watched them do what geese do.We pulled into the parking lot, didnt have time to see if there was more to do, so we drove on. The GPS directed us away from the neighborhood into which the parking lot exit dumped us, so there are two ways in and out. But GPS only showed one way in and out.

I really like this place for fishing. In addition, you get a chance to meet some of the locals. Only negative... No place to discard your waste.

Free boat launch although there are 3 ramps for boats but only one has a pier snd it is quite short for launching a boat. Wish it was about 10 feet longer.

I go here when life has lost all meaning and it usually makes life have slightly more meaning

River is pretty much back to normal flow. City recently sprayed for mosquitoes.

Ive visited this park a couple times when the weather was nice. It does get flooded, so be careful of the water. They will close it if it gets too wet! The view is great, you can see the boats in the water and my dog loves to sniff all the local wildlife here.

It was a good enough experience...tonnes of bugs out there I am itchy all over my body tonight. Overall I liked it and would go back prepared well with bugs spray
