Great concert hall that accommodates wheelchairs too. Sound rating is excellent! Weve seen many concerts and shows there. Highly recommend going. Good for acoustic & theatrical performances. Plenty of handicapped parking too.

A marvelous venue for entertainment. The main stage is a nice, wide stage with many seats spaced very well, with good slope so views are not obstructed. The sound is thrown quite well - It feels like there wouldnt be a bad seat in the house.One word of advice, try and avoid going during a basketball night. Parking is generally unavailable at that point.

Beautiful theater on WVU campus.

Very nice venue. Parking is easy and free. We attended a concert that was part of a live radio show. We enjoyed the different aspects that brought to the show. Bathrooms were small but clean and it seemed the concession was reasonably priced.

Small by venue standards but that gives you a more intimate approach. Seating is amazing. There is not a bad seat in the house. Bring cash for drinks and snacks just in case. Had a blast

Tracy Lawrence was absolutely wonderful!!. I am so glad that many came out to support the WV Public Theater at Lyell B. Clay Theater. Wish we had more concerts like this...

We have been here multiple times for plays around Christmas and have had good experiences. Buy your tickets at the theatre or the mountain layer not online and you will save a lot of money like $13 less per seat. However the ticket office hours kinda switch up because students work the office. So make sure they are open before going out of your way for tickets. Theres alot of different performers who visit throughout the year. Musicals, concerts, ballet, plays including our local WV public theater, & comedy shows, plus more I’m sure. A great assortment for the whole family to enjoy. The seating and acoustics are very nice. They have nice handicap seating areas. Our family will continue to visit and enjoy this location for great entertainment in a comfortable setting.

An enjoyable night of Mountain Stage. Not a bad seat in the house. Mountain Stage returns to the CAC on April 28th.

The Clay theater is the perfect size for both musical acts to Broadway plays. The acoustics make it a fabulous venue.

Trombone Shorty was awesome. If that was his crew running sound and the spot, they are likely looking for a job today. If it was students, they might want to consider getting a trade.

I had a great time at the Clay Center. I am from southern Lewis County and come to watch my daughter perform with her Theater Class. It was a great experience to meet so many friendly people gathered together in a beautiful building that is so organized. It was very clean and remained clean throughout the days events as they had various visiting colleges among other organizations, that had stations set up to promote their professions. Kudos to everyone at the Clay Center from the housekeepers, maintenance workers, organizers, and everyone in between, that plays an important part in the operations that make the Lyell B Clay Center a great place to enjoy your day.

As an avid lover of the arts, the CAC offers everything from painting to plays and with so many theaters to choose from, I dont know why anybody would spend a day at their house! I love the performance put on by WVU students and the staff ad very friendly and helpful.

Nice, but pricey and tickets are not checked well, esp after a break

Went to the taping for Mountain Stage. Great show and the staff was very efficient in getting patrons in and out. Free coat check was a plus.

WVU Creative Arts Center main performance theater featuring enjoyable professional talent in a seasonal Series, community and student talent in orchestra, choral, drama, international music, jazz, recital etc. Multiple additional performing theaters and art galleries within the CAC. Easy parking and curbside dropoff. Exceptional area entertainment venue.

Perfect venue for student productions, Mountain Stage, and touring companies.

What a lovely venue to catch a performance. There is plenty of parking and the location isnt too far from the interstate of youre coming from out of town. Traffic in Morgantown is another matter though. WVU dows a great job keeping the building interior looking modern and sharp.

Love the shows they bring in! The parking can be interesting since they blocked off the back parking lots to regular folks -thanks WVU. But there is plenty of parking at the Colosseum. Once parked getting in and out of the Clay Theatre is a cake walk.

This is a great place to have in the area. Its well very big with a lot of seating and you can see shows here for a fraction of the costs of the typical places. There is a pretty good variety year round too.

We go to the CAC whenever Mountain Stage is in Morgantown. So far we have not been disappointed. Nice venue with excellent acoustics.
