My brother-in-law and I did the Tut escape room. This was our first time ever doing an escape room, and apparently its the hardest of the three available, we made it to about the last puzzle, but didnt quite make it out. It was really fun regardless. The design and aesthetic of the escape room was great, and the puzzles vary enough so that they can play into different members of your partys strengths. I dont have another escape room experience to compare this one to, but everything about this escape room felt premium. Clean facility, friendly and welcoming customer service and great puzzles/rooms. I would recommend XSCAPE to anyone, and if Im in that area of WV again, I would return myself.

Our favorite escape room by far! In with 90 minutes on the clock, out with 16:45 left. So glad the Tut Room is now open and we encourage everyone to give it a try. The staff was awesome - especially Mark. The technology there is by far one of the best! Cannot wait for the next new room to open (because we have done them all). Great FAMILY FUN!!!!

Mark was our game master and he was super awesome! Answered all of our questions and concerns. The game (Tut) was amazing! The puzzles were all well thought out and we had a ton of fun figuring out the secrets of Tut. We will definitely be back to do other rooms and puzzles when they come out!

We had a terrific time. It was safe and clean. Only our group was in the room. The host, Ron, was funny, patient and encouraging. Four of us finished a puzzle meant for 8 with 1 minute to spare...okay, okay, we asked for four hints, but the puzzles were very clever and entertaining. I highly recommend this.

Had so much fun trying to Escape. Went with a few friends for a birthday and we all loved it. Definitely good puzzles to solve. Will be back for sure.

My wife and I, along with various friends, have done 4 different escape games here in the last few years and they have all been top notch. We are avid escape room players and have played pretty much everywhere we have traveled. I can say that the time, thought, and effort put into their games are the best Ive seen. From the intro and instructional video, to each of the well placed puzzles, the clue system...it is all superb. We love going there and cant wait for them to get new games so we can go back!

As simple as it was, it was very mind boggling! It was me and another person who did taken, and we werent looking for something spooky but just challenging, and we got just that! The staff was amazing and they have t shirts and merch! Room was very fun, just be careful when traveling in small groups, most of the puzzles are made for people with 4+ people groups, but with just two people it was equally fun, would definitely do again!

Amazing experience in the only 90 minute escape room that I’ve seen available. The guide for the evening was friendly, helpful, and polite. We went for a 5 person bachelor party and had a blast. I’d recommend both the venue and the Tut game for any group, party, or even a fun date night.

Our first escape room ever and it was so much fun! We made it with ONE second to spare! Super clean facility, nicely decorated, well thought out game, everything was explained to us. Our moderator, I cant remember his name, but he was very friendly and provided a great experience. (We were there 08/08/20 at 3:00pm)

This was a phenomenal experience. Our group had a great time, and we cant wait to come down from south central Pennsylvania to try yet another of the great escape room offerings here! Highly recommended!

Took my work team and we had so much fun. The gentleman working (I didnt catch his name) was so nice and helpful, you can tell he really enjoys his job. We didnt win but had a blast. We will be going back soon!! Keep up the good work :)

What a great place to spend time out with friends ! Excellent location, tons of safe parking four awesome restaurants a block away. This escape room changes up its theme often and some are more difficult than others. This time we went with three other couples and they accommodated us just fine. Friendly helpful staff work hard to make it a fun experience. We were with some pretty smart and diverse people and had an hour and a half to complete and finished with 5 seconds to spare. I highly recommend if youre looking to experience some of the best Morgantown has to offer in a few block area. Eating, drinking dining biking walking and a great hotel walking distance. This is a top notch escape room for all levels.

This was our first experience with an escape room, and we had a BLAST. This is perfect for a date night! Staff was polite and helpful, and the technology within the room itself was great. 10/10 will be back.

Our family was on vacation in the area, this was our first experience of doing an escape room. It was great, we still talk about it and will go back.

I went yesterday in a group of 6 to play Taken, and our overall experience was fantastic. In all honesty, after going to an incredible escape room in Pigeon Forge, TN, I was quite skeptical if any others could meet that expectation. This place did. The rooms are fairly detailed and the puzzles and such were aligned well with our skill level. We escaped with around 45 seconds left, and were thoroughly satisfied with our experience.

The Tut Room ... having played more than 2 dozen rooms over the years, this room stands out as the greatest. What a game!

I wanted to do an escape room for my birthday and choose this one. It did not disappoint! Everything was very well explained in the beginning before we even entered to make sure we understood the process and even gave us an example to practice with. The puzzles were tricky and we tried to over think them alot of the time but figured them out in the end with teamwork! Would recommend this to others and will probably go back and try another game!

This was an early birthday outing for my husband since our adult children were here for the holiday weekend. I was skeptical about going to an escape room...but I would actually describe it more like a puzzle room. Everyone really enjoyed the experience, even though we didnt quite cash in on Aunt Ednas fortune. The staff was welcoming and helpful (I think we may have gotten an extra clue or two!) and the facility was well-maintained.

Our family started this tradition of escape rooms last year at Christmas. We loved this escape room. We tried our hand at The Estate and were successful in escaping with 10 minutes to spare. Such a great way to bring everyone together and kick off our holiday celebration. See ya next year for another game.

They were very accommodating for our team building event. We were able to bring 27 people and utilize all 3 rooms at the same time. Our staff LOVED the experience and venue. The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean and detailed. Highly recommend this Escape Room!

Just completed the new Tut room with a group of experienced friends and I have to say this is my new favorite escape room! The room itself is completely immersive with incredibly detailed props and puzzles. The room has a very good flow with puzzles that make sense and keep you interested. Very well done.

Best escape room in the area..hands down! Just finished King Tut! The game was masterfully built, challenging, fun and immersed you into the experience. We felt like we were actually in Tuts tomb solving a mystery! Must do if your in Morgantown and looking for a nice family friendly activity to do.

Had a lot of fun in the escape room even though we didnt find Aunt Ednas money within the allotted time. It would be nice if you offered smaller groups at least 30 more minutes.

We all had an awesome time. We were not victorious. Abby was a great gamemaster and was very helpful. We knew we were doomed when it took us 5 minutes to just get through the first obstacle but we will all definitely be back.

XSCAPE offered a lot of fun in solving their Escape Room! I felt that a few of the puzzles were a little out of sync with the rest of the room, as they didnt make sense or werent effective enough at showing that the clue was in another room. I had expected to be searched for phones or other electronics, but there are no rules against this apparently, aside from being frowned upon. However, the clues were so specific to the room that the use of cellphones wouldnt even be helpful. We werent even trapped in the rooms, we could get out and use the restroom if needed. The prices werent bad, $30 per person and you get a full hour to solve the puzzle with 4 clues from the game programmer. Our Escape Room was set in a music studio where the owners had been taken and we had to get out. We solved a series of puzzles, codes, locks, and clues to find out way out. Overall, it was a good time and Id definitely do it again! I would give 5 stars if the game was slightly more polished and felt like a highly-developed and professional game. Ours felt well thought out but the execution was still 7/10.

Did The Estate with my family (all adults). It was fun and clever and just the right amount of difficulty. The place was nice and clean and our Escape Master was wonderful! Well spoken and energetic. Definitely worth it!! Would visit this again!!

We’re a family of six who have played escape games in many different parts of the US. We’ve play over 30 games at many different establishments. We played TUT in Morgantown last night and it was the best game we’ve ever played.

Be aware that they offer multiple tickets for same time slots for the same room meaning you may be doing a room with people you do not know. For me this is more fun done privately with a group of friends or family. They gladly refunded my money no problem very friendly even with the misunderstanding.

This was alot of fun! I definitely recommend the Tut puzzle. Staff is extremely helpful.

The ambiance of the place from the decor to the staff is fantastic. You can tell they put a lot of the work into setting up the facility and training their people. My only note is the escape room I went into was very linear. I went into a room meant for 10 people and we had to go from one puzzle to the next. Now this sounds obvious but, most other escape rooms I’ve been to you can work on multiple puzzles at the same time. This keeps it from being 10 people working on the same thing (too many cooks!) and also increases difficulty by making it harder to prioritize puzzles. For me, if they rearranged the layout of the room it would make it way more engaging an fun. For the price point though, I think this is a great escape room especially if you were going there with kids.

This is the only escape rooms I have done but I have been three times now and really enjoy this place. The people are so friendly and excited you are there. They are very helpful while in the room, willing to give free help for mechanical non puzzle related things. Cant wait for the fourth room to open.

They have a great set up. It was fun and the clues were challenging! Mark was our host and he made our time so much fun. He had good energy. Its worth the money for sure. The place is very modern. Youre gonna love it.

A friend and I took my sister, her three boys, and one of their friends (all aged 8-12) as a birthday gift to my 11 year old nephew. None of us had ever done an escape room before so I was a little concerned it would be too difficult playing with mostly kids, but we all had a blast! The employees were extremely patient and accommodating and truly made this an experience to remember. Although we were one number away from winning the game, we all left feeling accomplished and excited to try again. Well definitely be back!!

Chad was awesome with our group. you could feel his genuine love for the games. helped get our group into the moment. we played the estate and the high tech props were so cool and everything fit perfectly to the theme and storyline. He ensured that we had a great experience and we enjoyed talking with him about the business and how all of the puzzles work together afterward. The room itself had a lot of great clues to uncover and it was the right level of challenge for all of us - a group of 6 college students. The facility is very well kept and well decorated. Overall a great experience!

Our family, of 4 did the Estate room and had a lot of fun! It was the first time to do an escape room for 3 of us, and it didnt disappoint. The room was well organized and the puzzles were challenging and fun to do. Our host was helpful and everything was explained before we began. We found the inheritance with about 7 minutes to spare, but even if we hadnt it would still have been fun. We had a blast and woulddefinitely do another room!

Most fun weve ever had! My husband and I took our daughter, age 14, and 5 of her friends to the escape room to play Bank Job. We totally enjoyed the experience even though we didnt make it out in time. The facility was very clean and the staff was super friendly. In the briefing we were given tips on how to get the most out of the experience, which I think helped us relax and enjoy the game more since this was our first escape room attempt.I will definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back to play another game . Totally worth the time and money.

Weve done several escape rooms but this one was definitely tough. Well thought out, lots of critical thinking, and fun! So glad we could do this on a whim. Staff is very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable and the rooms are quite spacious. Highly recommend!

I played “Taken” tonight and it was just such a good experience all the way around. Chad was so friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. The game was a perfect mix of challenging and fun. Stuff that made everyone think, but nothing too hard to figure out. I can’t wait to go back and try another game! (Plus the music that played when we escaped was a great touch)

My friends and I had a blast completing one of the rooms. Escaping took every bit of our collective brainpower, but that just made it that much more rewarding. The tasks were plentiful and intricate, just as they should be. Helpful hints are available, but they eventually come with a price of trading away your precious remaining time. I would recommend this location to anyone interested in escape rooms. The ONE downside Ill mention is the price. Its a little pricey considering youre only doing the activity for an hour. I know my friends and I would go back regularly if there was some kind of incentive discount price to return if you successfully complete a room. That being said, I loved the experience and would highly recommend everyone checking it out for themselves!

We went and did the Estate puzzle today. It was run by Chad who really seemed to love setting up and watching us work through the room. The puzzles were pretty challenging but made sense, and the hints were just enough by to keep pushing us through. Everything seems to be well put together and well built. I really liked the 2nd gen setup with all kinds of electronic integration and sensors.TL;DR: Great room owned and operated by 3 brothers who love what they do and put a lot of work into making it good.

AMAZING experience!!!! Friendly crew with amazing customer service and an awesome sense of humor. We did the “Taken” room in 53 minutes and enjoyed every second. We did tey to go for the 35 minute record however but failed . Most definitely will return to escape the other rooms!

Myself my 10 and 11-year-old boys were lucky to get grouped with a family of five who helped guide us through our first time experience with this. The owners were exceptionally nice and helpful the facility was very clean and neatly decorated. I highly recommend.

Went to an Escape Room last night with some of my family members and had soooo much (clean) fun !!! I will certainly be doing that again at the same location.

A great place that is a lot of fun for groups & families. Its very clean and the workers are very nice & helpful. The tasks were mentally challenging, but still doable. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars from me is because of the price. Over $25 per person, its obviously not a cheap outing. It would be better if they had some reward system (like if you do escape in the allotted time you get a percentage off the price of your next visit).Overall, I would highly recommend XSCAPE to anyone, and I definitely plan on returning.

Having done over 20 rooms now, I have seen a lot of unique and great rooms. However, the Estate at Xscape Morgantown is absolutely mind blowing. Beginning with the lobby, the place is clean and sharp! The decor is amazing, and fresh. I selected this room since it was considered a gen 2 room. I was absolutely enthralled at how well done the room was. It was completely immersive and challenging. We were at a little disadvantage as there were only 3 of us, one of which had some physical limitations due to an injury. The clues were expertly crafted, including some actual video clues! The amount of tech in this room was outstanding, and everything worked flawlessly! I could have stayed in this room for several hours just experiencing every puzzle individually. There is definitely a LOT of puzzles, which keeps every participant occupied, instead of playing follow along as one or two people solve puzzles. The puzzles were fun and challenging, but werent what I would consider busy work and were fun throughout the entire process. I look forward to coming back and trying the other rooms.

This was my second room at Xscape. We did “Taken” when they first opened and was just seconds away from escaping the music room when the time ran out, they’re were 8 of us then. It was a still a good introduction to escape rooms. This time 4 of us did the “Estate” and we did complete it with 26 seconds left, it was thrilling.The place is super clean, with a unique “pre-game” room where the accommodating staff gives you a nice overview and rules about the room you are about to do. The tech for the clues and even video clues help to get you moving along with the game. And when you request a clue, it is useful and sometimes, even personalized.We look forward to our next visit, doing a bank job.

First time doing something like this, we will definitely be back to try another scenario. It was a polished experience from beginning to end, and would definitely recommend it for a group of people wanting to do something a bit out of the ordinary.

Today we went and played the Bank Job escape room. We also previously played the Taken room. Both experiences were amazing. The rooms are high quality, and the clues are the right level of difficult so that theyre challenging but not frustrating. The staff is friendly, helpful and encouraging. The clue system is also great - help was almost instant when we were stuck. I loved this experience and look forward to playing the next available room. I highly recommend Xscape to anyone who is thinking about doing an escape room or has already done one and is looking for another escape room challenge.

I absolutely love this escape room place! We drove an hour and a half to go to this one just to try it out and we loved it. I just wish they had discounts it would definitely help since how far it is away. Hopefully I can afford to go back but if you live closer I highly suggest this escape room!!!

In all honesty I went into this a bit skeptical. It seemed contrary to my tastes, but after the first five minutes I found myself captivated by the atmosphere and the sense of urgency. This really is quite the unique experience. The two words I would use to describe Xscape! are stimulating and exciting. The beginning instructions could have been more thorough, but overall a very pleasing experience. Great way to spend 2 hours of your day!
