The best art museum in Moorhead. The building was the old Moorhead post office, and was converted to an art gallery in the 1960s. The spaces arent perfectly open like other art galleries, but that gives this one character. They have a lot of interesting artworks in the permanent collection, including some by a few famous Pop-Artists you might of heard of: Lichtenstein and Warhol.Awesome staff. Revolving gallery hosts a lot of contemporary local artists in the area. Definitely worth a visit, if your in the area or checking out the Plains art gallery in Fargo.

Absolutely wonderful art museum for a city like Fargo. Many museums fail to find the right medium for showcasing art but also telling a story with their art, this place has found that. Wonderful art that stops you to understand it, it tells a story, and, it does a wonderful job of doing that.

Date of Visit: 10/14/2019 - Visited this location to view the Gogh-Bison-Go statue. Would have loved to visit the art museum, but it was closed. Absolutely beautiful statue!

Interesting local art museum. They have a fairly wide variety of pieces in many different mediums. They hosted an event with beautiful live music, as well as light hors doeuvres and mimosas. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

The exhibits with local artists are awesome. Check em out if you get a chance. Maybe youll score a beer while youre at it.

Attended the opening of TransNoDak an amazing collection of photo portraits of North Dakota transgender individuals by photographer Beverly Poppe, Grand Forks. The permanent collection of the Rourke is also quite diverse and interesting. A visit should be on all art lovers and art enthusiasts bucket list. Kudos to Poppe for her vision and creativity in bringing these most courageous individuals and these members of our society to the forefront.
