The Capital City Farmers Market is FABULOUS. Lots of local foods, esp lovely produce, honey, bread, and dairy!

This farmers market offers a wonderful variety of farm fresh produce there is almost too much to choose from. Also nice selection of prepared foods and snacks As well as an eclectic variety of other items. Definitely a not to be missed experience when visiting the area.

After moving back to VT from CT we discovered this little gem by word of mouth. I love eating farm fresh vegetables that are maybe a day old vs vegetables that have been sprayed with who knows what, travelled from who knows where, and been touched by who knows who!!From breads, to honey, to vegatables, it is an owesome place.

Best farmers market in the state in my opinion! So many diverse vendors, all selling high quality products at reasonable and competitive prices. Always an exciting and bustling atmosphere, without feeling overly crowded. A must visit for sure!

Lots of local produce, cheese, and meat. Some crafts and and other small businesses, along with a bunch of local cuisine in the open air! A few small distilleries and craft Brewers on occasion as well. Not exactly cheap, but you are going to get some good products for your money.

Even in mid to late October, there was plenty of fine yummy produce and wares.

Now on State Street in Montpelier the farmers market hosts many local farmers offering fresh food from their farms. Also local artists, bread makers, bakers, local spirits, crafters and live music! Open 9:00 am to 1:00 pm throughout the summer. Parking is free in town on the weekends :)

Loved the diversity of this farmers market, from empanadas to goat meat, from fresh corn to corn bread they have it all. All set in a very picturesque new england state Capitol.

You can find the typical produce as well as unexpected items at the Capital City Farmers market! Always a fun social event on Saturdays in the summer.

Excellent Farmers market with multiple local produce, cheese, and meat vendors, as well as the usual arts and crafts. Closes a block of State St and many stores had a table set up out front as well.

Great market for produce, prepared foods, some crafts. Only 4 stars since the diversity of vendors just wasnt there for a market this size.

We are from Ohio. Really enjoyed the local products and most of all we loved the kind and friendly people.

Its not a Saturday in Montpelier without the Farmers Market! A large variety of vendors - bread, locally made alcohol, pottery, soap, cheese... and of course, fresh vegetables! You can usually find something good to eat or drink on the go, and theres always lovely live music. Just beware (or rejoice, depending) - if youre from the area, you WILL see everyone you know! :-)

Great variety! They have produce as well as vendors selling cooked food. You could easily make an afternoon trip of it. Most vendors are reasonably priced.

Hands down the best farmers market in Vermont! The sense of community and ethical vendors that make up the market is heart warming. Hot foods, artisan jewelry, local produce gallore!

Saw calves, got whiskey. Good food from local folks.

In the middle of nowhere great for locals pricey

As always this is a great farmers market with many options for fresh, locally grown food and some wonderful pottery and a little bit of hand crafted jewelry. Some flowers too! A great way to kill a little time

The market is well worth a visit - from sampling cider to purchasing home-made fare from the local community all added colour to the beautiful city of Montpelier.

What a fun market. So much more than just produce.

Awesome Oven Pizza available here, great array of produce, baked goods, and lots of other stuff. Nice atmosphere.

They all are very nice and knowledgeable on their fruits and veggies. I always enjoy going great environment!

Favorite market for the just right size and the nice folks. A bit crowded lately, and a bit out of the way for me but I still love it.
