Ive only been here a few times while on vacation visiting relatives since I live over 300 miles away, lol. Anyway I have always had a good experience here, having watched Antman and the Wasp, and The Lion King remake. A nice friendly bunch of staff, and comfortable seating. Definitely the place to go for movies in the area.

I brought my son in on the wrong day to see one of the summer movies hes autistic so he was extremely upset after sitting in the parking lot with him crying for 45 minutes. Him to agree to see a movie that came on later when we came in they let us come for free it means alot to me we really didnt have the extra money but it was my fault so I told him we would go so I was so excited when there was not charge thanks again it means so much

Got place to go and the service is great. Do wish they would do an update. Maybe add more to the arcade section. Definitely dont get there too early because you will be bored.

Movie was great. The guy at the concession area controlling the crowd was horrible and annoying. He yelled constantly about where to stand and and talked as if he was talking to a lot of kids.

Nice theater. Modern projection and sound systems. Interior was clean but could use an update. Variety of movies. Matinee senior ticket was $7.50. Only game in town.

It was better than the bowling alley at monticello

I will never give any place that sells 1 dollar worth of popcorn and 2 dollars worth of soft drink for 13 dollars a good rating. It is a clean movie theater and the picture and sound quality were great. I was there on a Friday night and it was not rowdy or overly crowded but it is summer and not as big of college crowd as normal. The only theater southeast of Little Rock until you get to El Dorado.

Workers were rude as heck ... they came in when we was waiting on the movie to start 30 minutes earlier TVs were not even on yet and he tell us we need to turn our phones off with the worst attitude ever !

Great experience for the size of Monticello. 9.5 out of 10. Clean everywhere, friendly and helpful staff, and somewhat affordable. Some larger towns nearby are absolutely horrible compared to here.

Matinee Prices are too high, which is why I dont go as often as I use to and of course everyone knows movie theater food prices are ridiculous.

Surprisingly good for such a small town. Only 8 dollars on Sunday night too. Dolby 7.1 surround sound is amazing, almost too loud. Keep your receipt and get $2 Western Sizzlin buffet. Keep your Western Sizzlin receipt and get $2 off movie ticket.Come early because they usually dont sell tickets at booth and you have to wait in food line.

$20 for a matinee ($8), a large drink and a large popcorn. Thats VERY expensive. And the theaters and bathrooms are very dirty. But the temperature was very comfortable and the sound was perfect...hence the 3 stars. They have plenty of room for improvement!

For the middle of no where Arkansas this is as good as it gets. This town pretty much only has this theatre, a bowling alley and walmart for entertainment. This theatre is extremely dated. Its never been very clean when I visited and the sound has usually been too loud.

Malco is still our favorite place to go and see a movie! We absolutely enjoy it every time!

Monticello has the best theater in the Southeastern section of Arkansas. The staff are super friendly....and I have never been to a theater kept as clean as Malco.....I have been watching movies here since it opened and I love it!

Not a bad theater. Its small and has a limited selection. So, its not the answer to this towns lifeless nature.

Movie messed up in the middle, and for 30 minutes I tried to get them to fix it. They did not care, and did not offer a refund.

The popcorn here with butter is more like straight vegetable oil tinted butter color with a heap of salt more than anything. I just feel wrong eating it. I went once with a visitor from Conway and they said it was awful too in comparison to whats served in a theater up there, plus the price he considered too high. I have done the same comparison to a theater in Monroe I now go to all the time. Yes, its nearly a 2-hour trip but at least there is decent shopping down there compared to whats near this theater in Monticello, so I can make up for the trip distance with some added value. But besides all that, what I really dislike about this theater is the price of tickets! $7+ for matinee tickets and $9 for a regular showing. And, the last time I went here there was no 3D when alternatively, there is in Monroe and the prices are cheaper for that, plus standard showings and both for matinee too. I guess the excuse can be made, and will be that the Monticello theater is the only one around and there are less moviegoers to make money off of because of several factors so they have to charge more. I dont buy that to substantiate the prices to my wallet when anyone who doesnt want to be bothered will just do like I do and go to Little Rock, Monroe, or El Dorado and plan a trip around seeing a movie, or stay home and use their movie options there, or give up altogether.Monticello does have nice people working the counter, but that’s not too big of a plus for me as when I go down south I don’t have to deal with a person unless I’m buying snacks. Needless to say, this theater needs to update and at least compete for business and take their ticket prices down. With some changes, I would stay in Monticello more and go here. With the way this theater now I feel like I’m being ripped off and undervalued.

Celebrated my 5th year anniversary with a great movie. Excellent sound quality, the snacks were very fresh and the people were cheerful, friendly and joking with us. We enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back. We get discounts everytime we are here. If there is a discount for it, you get it!
