A nice theatre with a bit of history behind it. Reasonably priced tickets and concessions. Nice atmosphere. Good quality projection and sound system as well. Will definitely come back .

Great independent, documentary and interesting art films - most otherwise unavailable in Montgomery and environs including Tuskegee, Auburn, Selma and other places. Great gorgeous recent remodel. Special events are super and enriching. Great concessions prices. Non-profit and professional.

This is the only place to see foreign films, independent films and quality cinema pretty much anywhere in central Alabama. If you love great movies, get to know The Capri.

You cant beat a local independent theater showing smaller movies. Visit and you might see something you love.

I love this local institution. It’s charming, reasonably priced ($10 for non members) and shows unique films that you wouldn’t get to see otherwise. They also show fun retro films as well - like The Big Lebowski - which brings in a sizable crowd. It’s nice to know that by attending you are supporting a local nonprofit.

This is the perfect neighborhood theater. Its been beautifully restored and has a new digital projection system. Film lovers dont despair, they kept the 35 mm film projector. Occasionally they get film prints and are able to show them. The project to bring this theater back to life is entirely neighborhood inspired and supported.

This is an old school independent theatre. Someone presents the movie. They present a questionnaire to be answered after the movie for discussion. There are times they have the writer of the book the movie was developed from to discuss the movie. They have wine, soda, popcorn, candies. Capri Theatre also allows you to suggest old movies you would like to see.

The Capri has been recently renovated and has new seats, bathrooms, and a new snack bar. It is an historic theater with modern comforts. The movies shown there are often foreign or avante guard. I find that they are usually more thought provoking than most American films. The seats are comfy, there is wheelchair access and handicapped parking is available.

Great little local theater which can be counted on to show the movies none of the major theaters are interested in. If you want to see an indie movie that has only been shown at Cannes and in small theaters, this is your go to place. With recent remodeling and a nice concession stand, you will enjoy your visit.

My first time back at the Capri since the renovations and it is very nice. A much larger lobby with the concession area moved upstairs. Speaking of stairs, there are a good number to traverse. Love the cup holders on the seats, but I wish the seats were a little wider.

I have been a patron of this theater since I was 18 years old. I LOVE this theater and the people, always kind and open minded. I have wonderful memories of seeing amazing films and having many first dates here. It is such a still somewhat secret place in Montgomery. We are so lucky to have an independent movie house, in historic Old Cloverdale. Also, you can afford to eat popcorn - always a plus!

A great neighborhood place, risking to keep important films and messages before a conservative audience and helping them to have to ask questions of thought to themselves.

It is a small theater that showcases documentaries. It was enjoyable and a little artsy fartsy. The only complaint I have is the theater was a little warm. We saw BirthRight: a War Story. It was an amazing movie, well put together, and very informative. I recommend that you go watch it, it is available on Hulu, Amazon, and in the I tunes store. Thank you for reading my review and enjoy your time at this theater.
