The bike was beautiful! Not a lot of shade, so water is a must. Makes sure your extremely hydrated. The views were beautiful. This hike is not for the faint hearted but doesnt require a Olympic medal for hiking. Just be sure to remain hydrated, bring your own shade.

Great place to hike for a beginner like me. Not too long or difficult trail. Best part is the waterfall at the end that makes the trek worth it!

Nice and easy hike. The waterfall is a tiny one but considering how close this park is, it’s a nice weekend morning hike. It is quite surprising that the park’s visitor center kept a few amphibious animals.

Gorgeous scenery. Awesome beginner hiking place where you can bring your dogs and possibly your children. You will have a crowd at the waterfall who pollute the stream but kids will be kids.

Nice moderate 2 mile hike up to the small but beautiful falls. $5 admission $10/weekends to enter Canyon park. You can park below free and walk the road about a mile too. Picnic tables, water, and bathrooms in park lots. Family friendly.

I have been to the falls so many times over the last 50+ years. When I was much younger I could ride my pony to the falls. Now I hike with my grandchildren. Great memories working on the trail with my children toward clamshell.

Great little hike that will take you through a small and short adventure. The pathways and distance is great for folks wanting to go in a short hike with great view, someone getting started to hike or want a quick get away from the city view. There is a waterfall in the end that some folks stay at and picnic or rest before heading back down.

Great hike with some beautiful sights. It might seem a little tough at times, but the setting at the top is well worth the effort. It is an amazing feeling to watch the waterfall after a good hike. Relax for a bit, take in the beauty and practice some grounding techniques. The inner calm is an added plus that isnt expected. After calmly hiking back down. You will feel rejunivated and calm. Happy trails.

A great place to get out in the woods so close to the city. It can get quite busy so be prepared to look for parking if you wait too late to arrive. Better yet, park outside of the park and walk in.

Beautiful hike that was very relaxing. However, I managed to lose my gold chain while I was there. Im actually pretty devastated, so if anyone manages to find a chain with a horse and jockey pendant on it Id probably worship you. If by some chance you find it, look me up on insta and message me.

Went on a warm day so the canopy trees helped with the heat. There was 2 paths from the parking lot. 1 which was more of a goat path with steep drops on one side. The other Im assuming was a little less treacherous. Nevertheless we took path 1 with my 9 year old and he did fine. Once the 2 paths converge its wide open space.

I came here to hike for my 1st time ever. I Absolutely loved it, the trail isnt tough at all and is definitely a fun place to take your family, or that special someone to enjoy the scenery and sounds of nature(and its cool and shady the whole way) The waterfall was nice, pretty small but nice. It has a good place to sit and enjoy once you get there and there are other trails you can take as well. Overall I give this hiking trail a 5 star because I had so much fun even by myself and I found an awesome walking stick. Oh and 1 more thing make sure to bring bug repellant I didnt get bit but Im sure some will so be prepared. Until the next review

Ro
Review №78

It was great! When I arrived there at 435pm,the entrance side gate was closed. Fortunately, the street parking at Ridgedale and Canyon blvd was not that far from the park entrance. When I walked to the gate there was a big board stating that walk in 9pm daily.I invested lots of time and money to get there. After work, I stopped by ATM for the parking fee. I went home to get change and to pick up my two dogs. I live in Los Angeles. This being my first time visit, I wasnt sure about the drinking water situation. I had to go back to my parked car to get bottle water. By the time I reached the ranger station, the restroom was already closed. It closed at 430 pm daily. I almost missed the trail entrance. The trail was narrowed and stiff inclined. The foliage on the trail was thick and heavy. It got slightly dark once I started to walk on the trail. About 150 yards or so on the trail, there was a sign stating that you are entering a bear country. This scared me a bit. I didnt see anybody on the trail until later. It was a great work out. The trail was beautiful. Thanks to clearly mark signs to the water falls,I didnt get lost. The water fall was much smaller than Eaton Canyons water falls, but the trail was much more beautiful. Heading down I encountered several peoples heading up. I like to go there again more earlyier in the day.
