My husband and I are expecting our first baby and wanted a peaceful getaway. We stayed in the Horsefeathers Hideaway tree house and it was perfect! The tree house was very modern and updated. It was the perfect place to sit on the porch and relax! Just what we needed! We highly recommend staying here and we will be back!

It’s a beautiful and lovely winery. It’s such a shame that they have horrid customer service. Some friends were visiting from out of the country. We went to show them a good time and show off a local winery. However, the service we received left a lot to be desired. Staff was rude and not attentive. When we went to check out, they had boxes with a set of three wines. We went to mix and match them, but we were promptly yelled at (which was not appreciated at all). A simple and friendly word would’ve been enough. We decided to make a small purchase and promptly left. Would not recommend visiting until they change their staff

The Treehouse Vineyard is tucked away behind a neighborhood in the city of Monroe. You would never know that it was even there. Great place to enjoy live music outdoors and food trucks on the weekends. Another thing that you might not know is that they have 3 treehouses on the property that you can actually stay the night in for a price. Each of them have beds, restrooms, electricity, running water and great views of the vineyard and horses. Great little weekend getaway or staycation idea that won’t break the bank.

What an amazing experience we had here! My friends and I came here for a birthday picnic and we couldnt be more happy with our choice. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, the wine was delectable and the service was wonderful. They did such a good job keeping us feel safe (everyone was wearing a mask indoors) and welcome, even during Covid. We would highly recommend coming here, and will be back after Covid so we could do the tour!

Went to their chocolate and wine pairing in February. Specifically called 2 days before and asked if the wine amount was only their small tasting. Was told that it wouldnt be a full glass of wine, but it would be plenty of wine for the pairing. NOT! It was 4 wines with just a tiny sip. That is not a pairing. That definitely was a tasting. I was completely misled. Not enough wine given to pair with the chocolate. Im giving it a 2 instead of 1 because the chocolate talk and variety of chocolate was very good. $20 a person for what was given was not worth it. Everyone at my table felt the same. I wont be back for any event there again.

So after years of dreaming of going here.. I finally took the plunge! Now when I say plunge it wasnt overnight at the tree house which is what I really have always wanted to do but theyve consistently been booked a year out - which I completely understand. However, I talked it up to my visitors who have been thinking about relocating to the Charlotte area, so we made the hour trip. I understand their website says the tour is anywhere from 20-25 minutes long but it was actually over before I had a chance to check in on social media.. it was in fact 8 minutes long!! I could not believe it. The young lady spoke so fast we could not keep up with what was what. We stood outside on a hill right outside their store and she pointed at where everything was instead of walking us down to the areas and showing us the different grape vines, see the scene, or walk and explore any of the tree houses. It was really disappointing. Unfortunately, the tasting went just the same. A different woman guiding the tasting even started out saying we wouldnt like the wine, and that theyre all really sweet. She wasnt wrong.. and I had never spat out wine before, I just couldnt swallow it. It was so sweet my teeth felt like they were getting cavities. When we didnt drink them fast enough she skipped us in the next tasting when normally tastings have you swirl the wine, smell it, talk about the history and you have a good 2-3 minutes sampling the wine without feeling rushed, this was not the case here. For someone who drove an hour each way and the service that was provided we did not purchase a bottle nor continue our afternoon hanging out in a tree house which was the original plan, we wanted to leave as soon as possible. I will say there are dogs that live at the property and that was the most welcoming part of the entire experience!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. There was a wedding held the night we arrived. I loved the music they played. We spent most of the night on the deck!! The tree house was a different type of get away. It is small and very close quarters. It really gives you a small glimpse into tiny house living. There are amenities that made our trip very romantic. Our gift basket was really nice too. And the amount of peace that we were able to get was immeasurable. I definitely recommend this place as a romantic getaway.!!

Cute, quaint little vineyard full of these curiously sweet grapes (that I’d honestly never heard of before Saturday) called muscadine grapes. We first attended an entertaining tasting session featuring eight of their wines and led by Marietta (sp) who regaled us with a high-level history of the vineyard, it’s owners, it’s treehouses, and why every wine has a unique name. Afterward, we walked freely about the vineyard for a bit. The land at Treehouse is truly something for such a small vineyard: Several acres of vines, space for wine making and bottling, space for a couple of horses, a concert pavilion, a gift shop, plenty of parking, plenty of seating, space for parties/events, and — of course — the treehouses. We were really there because we’d rented the “Date Night” treehouse. As a happy coincidence, we got to watch a wedding ceremony from 30 feet in the air in rocking chairs while sipping on their Windy Hill and snacking on cheese, grapes, hummus, and walnuts. And the weather was perfect. What a glorious Saturday.Needless to say, we GREATLY enjoyed our time at Treehouse.

It’s was Ok. Didn’t like how you could only really do the full tastings on the hour, the pours were not generous and measured with a clicker, no wine and cheese plate available for purchase, just a slab of cheese in the freezer you can buy and other a la Carte stuff. The tasting itself is more so for people with wider taste buds, my husband ended up giving me half his glasses cause he doesn’t do sweet at all. It wasn’t as magical as I’d hoped it would be. Just ok

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years. It’s been a little while since I was able to visit so we made it down for a Live at the Vines event. It was nice as usual, good music and beautiful setting. This vineyard has always had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It used to feel like visiting a friends house more so than a business. That is not the case any longer. The staff was not welcoming and seemed more annoyed by our presence. The band stopped playing just after 10pm and we stood up beside our lawn chairs drinking the last few sips of wine in our glasses and getting ready to pack up our chairs. At 10:10pm an employee came by and rudely said we’re closed, literally less than 10 min after the band stopped playing and everyone was still trying to gather their things. This place just doesn’t have the atmosphere it used to when I would see the owners and their son around, welcoming guest and making everyone feel comfortable. Perhaps it was just a bad night and the employees covering this event were in a hurry to go home, but overall it felt much more like the big business vineyards and less like the local, friendly vineyard it once was.

This winery is situated in the most peculiar area. Its nestled in a slightly blighted area, the parking lot is gravel - that was a pain to back out of. Thank goodness my husband has a 4x4.The wines are ok- we had there Merlot. Nothing to rave about. If you like sweet wines or Muscadine wines you will probably love it. I just cant handle the sugary wines.Honestly I probably will not return. My issue is the location! Its just a little too odd for me. Oh and those Treehouses- pictures are VERY deceiving! This place was not what I had in mind at all.

Wine is solid. Location is shady. This is an area that used to be very prominent. Now it is like crack house vineyard. If you go it is nice, and they have some really good wine. Dont let the location influence your trip. When we went they were very busy and a lady at the front desk seemed flustered and having a bad day. The Treehouse Vineyards is a nice outdoor venue. Staff is friendly and courteous. There are a few things that the venue needs to improve on to gain my 5 star rating. At my nieces wedding, we did not find out that the chairs had to be carried by our guests from the grassy ceremony area up to the reception (tent) area until we were setting up the day of the wedding. Venue should invest in more chairs so that both areas can be set up at the same time. There is minimal control of flies and bugs which are attracted by the food. A new wedding corn toss game was left in the back room, when my niece call they said they couldnt find it. The game was new and unopened ($75).

Having moved recently from California where there is a winery on every corner (haha), we were curious to try Treehouse Vineyards since it was not far from where we live. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the vineyard is a vibrant business with a strong presence in a obscure neighborhood.Tucked away between neighborhoods, the winery had a nice atmosphere with some live music and tables outside where you can enjoy your wine. There is a wine tasting room as well which is well-orchestrated on how they present the wine with stories of days past in the valley. We found the wine to be quite good, and some with distinctive taste. We walked away with a few bottles to enjoy at home. Pricing for wine tasting and the wines themselves was very reasonable. For those interested, and not for the faint of heart, there are three adult-sized tree houses that one may stay if so desired. Something different!Great experience, well be back soon!

My husband and I had our wedding here in May 2018.Beautiful and romantic atmosphere. This venue offers the convenience of being near Charlotte, while having the views and atmosphere of a remote location. After seeing many venues, none came close to the atmosphere and quality in this price range. The venue was very accommodating and allows you to be as casual or formal as you wish. For us, it was casual.Be cautioned that weather very wellCould be a factor. We had an unseasonably warm May daytime wedding, and we provided our guest with and hand fans. Some of the ceremony locations are completely exposed (no shade) so we recommended guests wear sun hats.

Whoever wrote this is a “crackhouse vineyard” cracked me up so much. Pulling up to the vineyard google maps took us through the neighborhood and yeah I can see that name fitting, but tbh it wasn’t bad just the nice normal NC trailer park type area you know and love. Then we get to the building and for a 200 year old farm/vineyard it was like they had torn down most things from before 1990 and started building sheds and connecting them to form a building. The treehouse looked quaint! We did the tour and promptly ditched the tour, we didn’t care about whatever anecdote about whoever lived there 50 years ago or whatever the nice tour guide was blabbering on about. They didn’t say much of anything about the wines besides explaining their arbitrary names and what type of grape. With the SipNPaint going on outside and the room/tables/decor of the wine tasting room I felt like I was having snack time in grade school while we munched on the chowder crackers and sipped our alcoholic grape juice

Will recommend for any date night, wedding, private event or just to hang with friends. It was chilly outside yet we still got to enjoy the evening with outside heaters and a gorgeous fire pit. Can’t wait to book a weekend in the treehouse and enjoy more evenings sipping savory wine while enjoying a fulfilling view. Our favorite wines were the Cabernet “her way”, sunset hills and tack shack red were the top 3 favorites. Yet all wines are tasty and uniquely made. Great wine and tour experience today and overall value with tasting and bottle of wine deal, but the logistics / organization were not the best. Too many people packed into a tasting, and we noticed confusion amongst the staff about how to serve the tasting crowd. Once the tasting got out, everyone swarmed inside to the bar/checkout area, and there seemed to be a lack of organization in controlling the crowd and meeting the needs of the customers. Wine was great and the ambiance is cool too, I would just suggest visiting at less busy times of day (not 4pm on a Saturday).
