Very muddy, bring your boots. Lots of hunters during pheasant season, so make sure your dogs/kids arent skittish around gunfire. Tons of random little paths, could come here 666 times and still be entertained.

Very nice went to watch sunrise and it was foggy so it turned out very nicely. 4 stars because locals were not very nice. Battery died 2 hours away from home and none of the locals i asked were willing to give me a jump start :(

So peaceful! A hilly, pleasant area to walk, munch blackberries and watch for birds and fish.

Great place to walk the dog. No real maintained trails but theres access up the west side of lake along a tractor path. Remember the Discover Pass.

Another awesome place in Washington. You really cant go wrong here. Google directions didnt quite get me there. Make a left on high bridge and go over the river. There is a pull out shortly after this on your left with signs that say public fishing. It does have small spots with access to the lake. But continue on down high bridge rd. Stay left at the fork. And on the bend will be a driveway and parking lot.I have been here twice on week days. It was relatively quite. One person and a dog the first trip. The second trip a semi truck came through!? Bazaar. All the way down and tried to get though the forest trail. And on my way back a Ford F350 came through, as well. So not only keep an eye and ear out because it is a hunting area - also keep a look out for automotives.

A nice low key spot to do a little fishing and duck hunting. No rifles or pistols but shotguns ok.

A fairly underdeveloped, at-times muddy trail around a murky pond with the ever-present signs of hunting and fishing. Not a bad trail to walk your dog on, or just to take a low-energy stroll!

Meh. First of all, a discovery pass is required. Second, its a one third mile walk through open corn fields which have the appearance to be private property, just to reach the woods. Once there its pretty cool for a while, then its just woods. Endless woods. Kinda reminds me of an abandoned campground. The main trail, which is about as wide as a one lane road, meanders through the woods just like youd expect to see in a campground, and off the main road are lots of smaller roads. Some continue in different directions into the woods, some end after only 40-50 feet- just like a campground. I walked a good half mile on the main road before turning back. The road and side trails are made up of woodchips. They have a very soft feel to them. Kinda springy. makes your ankles and calves sore after walking on them for a while. I was hoping at one point to come to the other side of the lake or... At least see something. Never did. Just walking.

Driving directions leave you on the road before the bridge--go across & keep left. Two entrances, with lots of grassy fields and swamp to trek through. Great place to walk or forage or hunt. Second entrance has relatively close access to wooded trail system, but its kind of a maze with very little signage and no map. Entrance sign says its also a pheasant release area.

Nice little trail to a small bridge over the lake. Water is must, not good for dogs. Small bumpy gravel parking area. No safely located public restroom but requires a Discover Pass. Borders on an open agricultural area that is off limits to training dogs. Not clear what that means. Hunting dogs only?

Has potential. Not mowed!! Cant see the water. Grass too long to walk, in places. Definitely not a place to go walk being a woman even with a dog. I was carrying and still ended up turning around. Everything is at least 4 tall and overgrown.Maybe it only is kept up during hunting season. The provided blind is nice, but you cant see the water now, too many blackberries.
