Great place with many events year round. Fairly clean and easy to navigate. But the staff can be iffy at times.
Went for the Fair. It was a lot of fun. I enjoy looking at the animals. I also enjoy walking around all the exhibits, seeing the work of local artists, farmers, bakers and people with other various skills. We make it an entire day at the Fair. Its a lot of walking.Theres are quite a few options for food. We try to always get a dozen scones. They are delicious. They have the common fair staples and some other great options for food.We found one water bottle filling station but I would like to see more throughout the fairgrounds. In 2019 parking costs $10 for the Fair
We came here to Camp the night before the Bubble Run. Absolutely shocked no one else had this idea! Campsite with pretty empty we are as far as we can be away from the racetrack but the noise is still pretty deafening. No complaints! Its going to be great sitting back in the morning sipping coffee out of my French press well I watch all of the madness of 14000 race participants just sending app on Evergreen Speedway and all of the traffic they will bring with them! Come early camp overnight well worth the $20!
Great place to walk your furbabies during covid.
We were there for the RUSTY RELICS show and the NW LARGEST GARAGE SALE - both were great! Cost $8 to get into Rusty Relics but found some nice bargains. The girls that ran the stand in the front corner with the tiny camper had the best prices and were the best to deal with! The garage sale -although it wasnt thelargest had lots of fun things to explore and some of the booths had great prices!
So much fun I went for some car races one weekend and the evergreen state fair the next weekend. I dont know what else they do here but these events were lots of fun. Plenty of parking and the bathrooms are so clean. The food from the concession stand was pretty reasonably priced and tasted really good. Family fun or date night recommended.
Brought my granddaughter to the fair on a Monday evening and we only had a few hours. Spent ten on parking, 24 for the two of us to get in, 25 for 27 tickets, 11 on two ice cream cones so 70 went pretty fast. We did the large farris wheel and she went on three more rides plus played one game where she won a ball. Saw the puppies and the birds. We didnt see the piglets or bunnies, maybe because of the hour or our rush to get her home. Overall, we were able to jam a lot of fun into a little time and we had a blast and a half. Highly recommended.
Fun for the kids and adults
I always love the fair.. good food. Cool animal exhibits.. Cool rides. The Aztec dance is always amazing. I be already been there twice this year
Its a nice, local track. It could stand some updates as it seems to be in need of some modernizing.
It is an awesome fair! The carnival rides were super fun! I liked all their exhibits from Arts and Crafts, food booths, fashion, the animals (Especially the little kitties) and all the fun stuff they have for you. I enjoyed every minute of it. I even took some photos along the way.
I feel that they keep the fairgrounds relatively clean during events. There’s always adequate staff to help and move things along, and they’re all very nice. I love the free rides back to your car and that they’ll be patient if you don’t remember where you park! It’s a huge space so there a tons and tons of rides, food stands, animals, events, shows, and more going on all around you at once. You can definitely spend all day here!
Like to stay here even when all the racers are all lined up on Saturday morning for racing.
I love the fair grounds! Lots of great events and the annual fair is the best! My Mum came up from California, I took her to the fair for the 1st time and she had a blast! We will definitely be back next year
Fun times. Great people. Staff does a great job keeping everybody safe and able to have fun.
Little bit strange to watch a concert on a race track... but the attendants and workers were great. Super friendly. The sound was great. The show was great. We had a blast.
Had a great day here. There are rides, entertainment, animals, and lots of food options. They had an Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond impersonator. They were fantastic performers!! So much to see and do. Exceeded my expirations.
Super fun! However i am super glad i did not save money and pre purchase our wrist bands the line was so freaking long so i had to pay $5 extra bucks and no line! Nice! Anyway we had fun the boys absolutely loved all the rides!
Pretty Fun but to be fair, it’s around $1,000 bucks per kid for a full day of fun.It was a lot of fun, lots of fun games!Waited in a 2 hour line for $10 Parking, the. Waited 45 minutes to pay $25 for my 7year old and I. Then we Waited 30 minutes in line to buy $70 in ride tickets which last only 20-30 minutes worth of fun.We also ordered a French fry in a 15 minute line, for $9.00!$120 bucks for 30 minutes of fun and 3&1/2 hours of waiting. Perhaps we came at the wrong time, noon on a Sunday. Looks like a lot of fun. Be prepared to pay over $1,000.00 per kid for a full day of fun if you want to do all the rides and games.Way overpriced, but fun and a lot of cool people. I’d do 4 stars if prices were fair and 5 stars if they had anything but fried food and sugar treats. Fun place though.
Cant wait till next year . It was raining a little so not many people where there. Lines where short . Closed the place down. I have 5 kids, we went on every ride . Ufo was awesome!
Unusually good place to have a wedding. My friends rented a small exhibition hall and it worked out surprisingly well ... Especially if youre open to an old time country look and feel atmosphere. The presentation, the hosting and even the exhibition hall stage worked out great for both the wedding itself and the reception band following.
First timer! Really enjoyed the shows & food, nice walk around:)
I go every year with my family! Good food and so much fun on the rides! The animals are always an experience!
Had a lot of fun at the fair again this year. We love to see so many local people both presenting displays and just enjoying the fair. Very much enjoyed the young man who was manning the booth in the midway where you had to swing the mallet and ring the bell. He just encouraged our boys all the while. And we had some fair food. Theres just something about having a milk shake at the Purple Cow that makes it a good fair day
Lots of fun for the kids. Rides and food were great. The staff however wasnt that friendly. They enforce a 36 height for the rides, but every staff member acts differently. My daughter is exactly 36 so she was allowed on some rides and denied on others. Consistency would have helped.
Great event... lots of foods and stuff to visit... i had fun!
I grew up going to this place. It has improved vastly in the last 20 years. Its horse park is very clean, has an open barn plan, tons of wash racks, neatly groomed arenas, and really great people running it. Lots of parking, not to mention the tons of camping spots and hookups. Keep it up!
Carnival rides, deep fried goodies and monster trucks. So much fun.
Nice family activities, if you go see the Monster truck take ear muffs specially for your kids.
Lots of fun with family. Go early to get into the best rides. Or weekdays if possible. It gets crowded in late afternoon. Enjoy food, rides, activities.
The great moms junk hunt was FANTASTIC!!! Wine was a nice touch.
I pretty much already know how much I need, financially, when I go to Evergreen Speedway. I love the diversity of people coming together to enjoy what other car enthusiasts do. Families, singles, couples, etc. Its a great place to learn, laugh and enjoy. And who doesnt love it when locals support other locals.
We had a great day, just wish there were some accommodations for people with disabilities for the rides. My son who is 25 yrs old has autism and intellectual disabilities finds it hard to wait in lines, and he makes it hard for others to enjoy their experience!
It was really fun. I would recomend going in the morning before it gets crowded and too hot. If you love to ride the rides then the wrist band is a deal.
I love all the animals. The food is great. Lots to do.
Went here on the first opening for Entries with can food donations. Recently they switch the ticket to card and the reader for each ride takes so long to read the card. If you plan on coming here for the whole day purchase a day pass it cheaper and they let the kids get on the ride faster.
It is a good place to camp.
Nine bucks for an elephant ear!! Are they using real elephants?? We did enjoy visiting the critters and the various judged exhibits. Wasnt too crowded Friday morning.I got a BLT from the everything bacon joint but got my Pepsi elsewhere, because I dont care for bacon flavored soda. I appreciated that it was not anywhere near where the swine exhibits, and the wind wasnt blowing that way.
Race night at the fair. Great venue for a family outing.
We have so much fun whenever we go to the fair! We entered some photos and a Lego item and it was so exciting! Its a little sad that Puyallup changed their open dates, so now there are things missing because vendors can be in 2 places at the same time. They do a good job trying to provide a variety of things.
Lots of fun, games, pro races and a jet powered golf cart. Super cheesy fun rides that I couldnt stop myself from trying all of them. Great Carney food and games. Will be going back every year.
Went for a quick bite and ran into an Alpaca. Rides seem old but fair food and smells are hard to beat! Parking is great.
This is one of the better fairs I have been to, and honestly can not be happier!! It is better to go early in the morning if you are a rides person!Had some great attractions that I have never been on before but what I enjoyed the most was the different food!! I am a foodie and having so many options in front of me was mind boggling! It had a little bit of everything! I wish I got to see more of the shows but I saw the lumberjack show and it is amazing what they can do! Anyways it was a fun and amazing place to be!
The Evergreen State Fair was an awesome experience Ive been going for years ! ! ! The staff there were so friendly and helpful, I recommend all my friend to go there ! ! !
Always a great venue. From races to fairs, this place always seems to be well organized. The staff is very friendly and bathrooms are usually very clean even on weekend long events.
Great fair to go to and enjoy. Not so crowded like the puyallup and u can actually get yourself some scones!! Rodeo is fun! Way to go Stirring Dust Drill team out of Enumclaw/Buckley!!!
Great host understanding and caring
Was absolutely in floored at the variety and quality of artisans at the Junk Sisters Market.
The fair was incredibly fun. A day of rides, face paint and fun photos.
Too much cuteness!!! Not as crowded as state fair, but a lot of activities! Had a lot of fun.
Good food, lots of animals and birds!! Fun rides for the kids! A lot of interesting products from vendors!!
Great fair! Spacious, easy access to bathroom. Coffee stand (their Americano is amazing), lots of vendors. Had a great time
First Saturday at the fair and even though there was a lot of people, it didnt feel overwhelmingly crowded. The lines flowed smoothly and the people were great.
Very enjoyable to visit. Has all the normal state fair things, fried food, rides, livestock and food competitions and this one even has a cool speedway. Parking was laughably expensive so knocking a star for that.
Small, friendly fair with outstanding Grange and textile entries.
We had fun at the dinosaur tour!!! I only gave three stars because the tour was awesome but the cost to get in and then have to buy tickets to do the kids activities...they had in there is outrageous!
Its always fun to go to this swap meet! Great people and fun junk to look at.
Fiber fusion NW was definitely a hit. I will be back for more next year and years to come. Loved the live animals and spinning demos. Found some amazing buttons too.
Great place to go! Swap meets, antique cars, horse riding events, special craft sales, etc. This is a place way beyond the annual fair each year! Check their schedule for an event youre interested in going to !
This is such a fun adventure to participate in. So much to see, do and eat. Check the schedule to find what suits your interests. Plan on spending the whole day /evening.
Great place to take the kids and see some animals.Been going for a few years to this fair and every year its what you expect. Animals, rides and lots of people. If you go in the morning traffic isnt bad, but expect to wait if you go later in the day!
Very fun! My home fair was L.A. County in Pomona and while it is much bigger they dont have the animals (horse section is great for the horse lover) and hometown vibe anymore. Love it and love that I live here and can come back next year!
All the food you could imagine fried oreos, funnel cakes the fresh scones are just ridiculous. Great for the whole family. Not to bad a drive from Seattle at all. Had a awesome time will definitely be back in future
We like the fairgrounds. We went to the medieval faire they had today and tomorrow. It was small and a little disappointing, but we enjoyed it. It was all inside from what we could tell which was okay since it was a little rainy but made things less enjoyable. I know its not the best season so I dont blame them. The food was okay. It was normal faire food, bit no authentic turkey legs or anything. I was hoping for some shows. Maybe theyre will be better ones in the spring. Im still glad we went though.
It was fun, but prices are high! Also there needs to be ADA accessible entries and exits from the barns. My daughter did her best pushing me in a wheelchair and now my tailbone and spine hurts severely. Please fix these issues!
The Evergreen State Fair is my favorite fair every year. They keep the grounds clean and safe, and all the other events that go on throughout the year are really awesome to have in the community. Ive been to rodeos, horse shows, gun shows, etc. At the fairgrounds and never had a problem. It is also is highly disabled accessible, which I so appreciate.
Fun and informative event...great selection of RVs and knowledgable sales staff.
My family and I had a great time, the ride lines were werent too bad, there was lots of great food! And of course an always must have scones and strawberry shortcake! Everyone around us always seemed to be having a great time. With all thats going on at the fair, theres definitely something for everyone. Go for it!
Excellent train show amazing selection of all gauges. Will definitely be back next year.
Extremely well done. Cleanest grounds of any event of its size that Ive ever attended. A celebration of local skills and abilities. A pleasure to attend. Well done!
We had a blast. A good selection of vendors and activities for decent prices. Some things were expensive but worth it... They could use more spots to sit and eat. Eating the massive portions with just a paper plate, napkin, and bench seat... made a sticky mess. We found seating much farther down by the stage, but to carry everything with kids would have been impossible. Otherwise, it was a fantastic day and I felt like a kid while sharing the experience with my kids!
Visiting from BC to experience the Washington State Fair. Had a lot of fun!
Amazing place! Great fairgrounds and amazing midway during the fair. Make sure you check out the calendar and bring your kids!
We go every year! This year we got to see monster trucks. My son loved it. Also, there is a little museum like building near the dairy cows that had great displays of older machinery.
It was packed for opening day mut family had fun.
Lots of Food/Gaming/Ride selections to choose from. Very big fair to explore. Animal/farm houses for kids to visit. Not very friendly if youre in need of making fresh bottles for formula fed babies. Also only 1 changing station location (which i never personally found, went out to our vehicle to do so). No general seating areas for resting or shade, which in mid summer would have been great. Re entry provided if stamp obtained on hand before exit. Free parking. One Main entry and exit location. Events also held in racetrack/bleachers area, like Demolition derbies and car/truck races.- They say you cannot bring strollers into demo derbies and races, but in fact you can, you must only wait until the large roller gate on the side be opened, at that point anyone may enter and view.
Fun times. Attended a wedding reception held in one of the exhibit Halls. Lots of room. Worked really well for a large reception.
Great car show today
We love to attend the races and go to the fair each year. :) So much fun! My only complaint is that I wish the bathrooms were a little nicer. Other than that its great! :)
Great fair, a lot of rides and food stands available. I like this place more than Puyallup due to the distance while having pretty much the same things youd expect from a fair. The rides arent as big but Im not much of a ride person.
Been going there for close to 30 years now and always have a blast! The food in the grandstands was rather overcooked and kinda meh, but the food at the arena in the back was fantastic! Will be returning every year!
Fun fair! Pretty easy parking ($10) if you dont have a pass. Kids really enjoyed the day. Of course thats because they didnt know we paid $20 to throw 5 broken darks each. But hey they got the stuffed animal. The food is up and down depending on your taste and quality. Prices are totally out of control with the food and other items. The gifts are reasonably priced! Concerts there are really cool too!
Great rides. Be prepared to spend a ton if you play their games. Lots of great food, music, and people.I volunteered for a non-profit Foster Care program at the fair. I handed out info at the information booth.
The fairgrounds ended up hosting quote odd malls unquote very unique trade market for odds and Oddities it was a very enjoyable experience the fairgrounds were very straightforward and very organized. Getting out through the exits though was a nightmare in some areas please use further exits when leaving your event there are multiple exits out of fairgrounds and by state law they have to have 2 exits open during events.
Very cool experience of state fair.
You definitely pay for the experience but the atmosphere is pretty good. lots of yummy unhealthy food, games, shows, cultural exibits and agricultural lifestyle. had a good time.
Always fun but beer is expensive alum bottle.of bud $9 each brink a flask full of segrems 7 &splash of coke BLACKTOOTH GRIN!!!! GETCHA PULL!!!!
Been going to the Evergreen State Fair since the late 1960s. I dont know exactly how to describe it other than to say that it seemed to be lacking its usual pop or what have you this year, perhaps its just me. Well see how I feel about it this time next year.
Wait time to get in was about 30 minutes. I suggest you buy your tickets online. Fun fair! Lots to see and do. Rather pricey, but we expected that. Bring your own water, etc to save $3.00 per bottle.
Had a blast. The rides were cool, and had a lot my younger kids could ride on as well. The animals were fun to look at, and there was tons of food to choose from.
One of the things we look forward to most all year is Evergreen State Fair!
It wasnt the place but the event! It was a black light, 5k fun run and dance and we had a blast. But no working water fountains in the enclosure .
Love it this time of the year . Ate nuff junk food to last me a year, wife petted some 100 bunnies, rides . Great way to spend a weekend day together .
Nothing like good old fashioned family fun with fair food to boot .
Love coming here, but needs better signage or directions for the events once inside.
Nice set up. Ease of flow layout. Easy for disabled
