Academy For the Performing Arts

Great selection of dance classes for children and young adults! My 6yr. old daughter loves it! Kind faces and knowledgeable staff. Very professional and CLEAN! Not to mention during this current pandemic they have went above and beyond to ensure the safety of all those who walk thru their door! Just a great experience overall. I definitely recommend them!

They are so incredibly friendly and make it really easy to sign up for classes! The teachers are super kind and knowledgeable. Love this place!

My daughter loves the Academy for the Performing Arts. It is apparent how much the staff loves teaching dance. They share that love with their students every class. We wouldnt go anywhere else to dance!

My girls love dancing at the Academy for the Performing Arts! We are going on 5 years for my oldest daughter & 4 years for my youngest! Isabel started at 3 & Elsa at 2! We love the staff & have always felt like the communication has been wonderful between staff & parents! I feel each dance teacher we’ve had is personally invested in making sure my girls learn technique as well as style & performance!! We love being a part of AFTPA!! To many more years.....

I have never took lessons here but my sister did and my cousin did and they did it for 7 years and I think its amazing!

My daughter has been dancing at the academy for over a year. First she joined the recreation dance class with the awesome Miss Brandy, and then for the competition team with Miss Tammy. All the teachers are awesome and really enjoy teaching the girls to dance, I even signed my son up this year with Miss Elizabeth for hip hop. Lots of different dance classes to pick from too! My daughter has learned a lot about dance, and enjoys coming to class, she’s also made some great friendships too. Great school and great teachers.

I have been apart of the Academy family since I was 5. I absolutely loved it when I was a student and I love it even more as a teacher. Great atmosphere & built my confidence at a young age. Miss Tammy is amazing at what she does! Highly recommend this studio for all ages!

My daughter did two years of the rec dance at The Academy and learned a tremendous amount. Her love for dance has also grown. She now has graduated to The Company (competition squad at the Academy). One of the major reasons for my daughter continued progress and successes is largely due to the professionalism of the Academy and consistent support and encouragement of the entire staff and in particular Miss Tammy!

I have danced here for over 10 years! I have so many great memories from this studio that I will cherish forever! Fun environment and great educated staff. Highly recommend. :)

We love going to AFTPA! We started at another dance studio in the QC and my daughter was not having any fun. We moved to AFTPA when she was 2.5 and there are perfect classes to introduce little ones to dance (fun music & more relaxed). My 4 year old is now on the dance team for the studio and absolutely loves it! She gets so upset if she has to miss a day or during the couple weeks of summer break she took! Miss Tammy absolutely loves the girls and she makes it so fun for everyone. We have loved all the other teachers as well! Highly recommend to anyone looking to put their child in dance classes around the QC!

We are very happy we chose AFTPA. Our daughters face lights up when she talks about her teachers and studio sisters. Tammy and her staff do an amazing job teaching the girls. If youre looking for a dance studio, I would highly recommend AFTPA. And if youre not afraid to look a little silly, join in on the Moms & Dads Dances at the end of the year.

My daughter absolutely loves Academy For the Performing Arts. Miss Tammy and all the teachers are knowledgable, patient, and just plain amazing. We have tried other dance studios in the area, but AFTPA is the best hands down!

Our two girls love the Academy! They have learned a lot about dance and always look forward to dance practice night. We have been dancing at the AFTPA for 3 years and appreciate the gifted and professional instructors, positive and energetic enviroment and most of all - the amazing recital at the end of the year! Everything at the Academy is always done with quality and excellence! Best in the QC!

I have two daughters that dance at this studio, both neuro-divergent; one with high functioning autism/ADHD, and the other with debilitating ADHD.The staff/teachers at this studio have been beyond welcoming, patient, and compassionate. Both of my girls have had a huge upswing in self-esteem, confidence, and it has assisted with forming bonds/friendships along the way. Through this, they have achieved a sense of self, and truly enjoy using dance a a creative outlet to focus on.

My daughters love dancing here and I love the individualized attention they each receive even in their group classes.

Its amazing there, I made one of my BFFs there. All the staff there is amazing they ate sooooo nice.

Awful. The worst. So many better studios out there. I do NOT reccomend.
