Nice place, though especially lately stock is limited due to shipping constraints. One of the only places in town that offers items in store for felting.

Love coming to Michaels. It can be little expensive at times. I encounter an odd exchange between the cashier and me. She opened my art product in front of me after I paid for the products. It caught me off guard to say the least. Overall, great place to shop

They do not have enough staff for this store. I pressed the button to get assistance for the spray paint and after 15 min of waiting, I left. There was absolutely no one on the floor. There was an adequate amount of cashiers. I did not have to wait long

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had an excellent supply of the items I was needing. Well organized, clean and spacious aisles. No problems maneuvering the cart through the aisles.

Good selection art and painting supplies. Prices are decent, especially when discount sales are being offered. Their selection of hobby type items is lacking compared to other stores (models, small scale items, rc toys) but they have all the decorative crafts and floral items you will ever need, so much that grandma might pass out having so many choices. Good luck and check their website on your phone for 20% off coupon which can be scanned right off your phone screen at checkout.

The help I got in framing was excellent.

Always helpful staff, usually sales and coupons available. Clean location. When staff saw the line getting long it was all hands on deck and we were out of there in no time.

Worst online order experience ever. Will never place an order through this store again. I still can’t believe my order wasn’t even ready from when I purchased it. Way over an hour. But I was not trying to be that one customer and gave and attitude so I said I’ll wait a bit more I see no intentions of anyone to pull my order. So I went and pulled my own order yes I did. I take it up front and tell the cashier here I pulled my own order can you scan it so I can go. No you have to cancel it and re purchase it I’m in shock by this point. Really I don’t think so you better have some one scan it so I can leave. I can’t believe they have no customer service nor understand The Whole online order process. It’s for to be in and out. Why didn’t she tell someone I was there waiting she sees me standing there for another 15 min . So disappointed called there 1800 number and vented..

Michaels Carries a wide variety of items for the DIY er. They have a great inventory of things from jewelry making, scrap booking, stamping, painting etc. Pretty much you name it they have it. Can find coupons on their each week. There is usually someone you can find to ask for help if you are in need. I enjoy coming g I to see whats new.

Its pretty good for what it is. Please keep in mind that this is mostly a home decor store. The craft aspect is secondary.

Everyone was friendly & helpful.

Store was neat and tidy, bathrooms kept clean and smelled good..no stale urine or foul drain odors present. I visibly noticed regular cleaning and rearranging of shelves, as well as regular floor sweeps and the like. Staff was nice, helpful and professional, answering any questions presented to them.

Michaels in Modesto is by far my favorite Michaels. Its always been clean, stocked, and the customer service is awesome.

This store is kind of small compared to others. The yarn selection is usually pretty good unless there is a big sale. I love the buy-online-and-pickup-in-store! They will even do price adjustments if they have a better price!

Great experience! Went in for some face paint for my son. It was inexpensive and the paint worked great! The staff is friendly and very helpful! I would definitely recommend this Michaels, clean and easy to find as well.

Great selection if craft stuff. Store is clean and the staff is friendly and professional. My only complaint is its difficult to find the price of some of the things I was looking at so I didnt buy the item.

I dont get to visit as often any more but they have improved the line by adding more cashiers. The employees are always very personable and nice.

The scrapbook section store is generally well organized. They can have some great clearance items, but they arent always labelled (so use those end of aisle scanners!) I like their selection of scrapbook supplies, but I wish they had more chipboard, layovers, and die cuts.

We were very disappointed. We went in for baskets. Found out that they were 40% off. Awesome! Went to check out.. FULL PRICE. we asked the checkout girl about it and she asked for a price check for storage baskets. Never told the person which baskets. She waits a second, then says ya those arent the ones on sale. My husband remembers the sign but we left because its not like they were interested in helping us anyway. The only time Ill be back is to take these baskets back if I dont absolutely love them. Awful customer service.

Don, the Framing Manager of the Aaron Brothers within Michaels in Modesto, is beyond great in his ability to pull together fabulous combinations of mats and frames for pictures and art!!! Truly the best Ive ever worked with!!! Highly, highly recommend him!

The associate that helped me at the custom frame department = 5 stars easily....super helpful and knew his frames...excellent. the rest of the staff is always very snooty and act like they are doing you a favor by checking you out and doing their job as cashier. Dont bother asking any of them a question you can practically see them rolling their eyes at you as they stare back at you like your an alien. Very rude.

I love Michaels, however, this time I ordered online and chose to pick up my items in the store. When I got there to pick them up they didnt have 2 of the items Id ordered. Sadly those 2 items were only available until they ran out.

Custom framing is way too expensive. And complicated. Not impressed with their price structure. I did get a simple poster frame for under $20, so that was good. I am missing my friends at Aaron Brothers.

My go to store for all my crafts. Clean friendly staff. Needs more employees on the floor. Last visit only one sales clerk on the floor for the whole store. Ended up not buying everything I needed due to the lack of personnel to help answer questions. I felt sorry for that employee. When they are staffed its a great store.

I wanted a kneaded eraser and they had it and like everything else so Im a happy camper

Abundance of art and crafting supplies! Well stocked, nicely organized, and excellent mark down and coupons. Always busy but tend to be staffed appropriately for the weekends. Large sized store w/ aisles wide enough to navigate w/multiple customers. Excellent brand paints, brushes, and pencils. You can also find a nice assortment of Fuji Pix accessories. My teens love this place and Im happy to say they do. Always happy to shop here!

Gave 4 stars because there is never anyone around to help. Thats kind of annoying. I saw 2 vendors (who dont work for Michaels) but not one associate. Luckily l met a lady in the same area who helped me. The store is stocked well and its well kept, everything in its place and clean.

I love Michaels. However, I didnt receive good service at this one. I had a coupon that didnt work at the register. Turns out, it was only valid for buy online pick up in store. Totally fine. I asked if I could place the order that way. She said yes but it would take an hour or two for them to process it. When I tried to ask her why it would take so long or if they had a way to expedite it. She gave me attitude. She was rude. I took my $100 to Joanns in Manteca. I just dont understand it though. Just seems counterproductive for the employees.

I can always find what type of crafting that I want here. The atmosphere of the store is relaxed although the wait in the lines are a tad long, but when a lot of people shop here it is expected.
