Excellent Sunday Lunch BuffetLunch with my family of 5 on January 19. Service was great and the food selection was excellent. Something for everyone to enjoy and a beautiful view of the golf course.

I had the unfortunate experience to play this course last week. At one time probably about 30 years ago this was a fine facility and likely a nice golf course. Now it is out of date poorly maintained the greens are awful and the fairways are nothing but weeds and sand. Most of the greens have large areas of turf stitched in that make it impossible for the ball to roll smoothly. They probably need about half $1 million worth of weed killer and grass supplement to bring this up to any kind of acceptable standard. I’ve played better city owned golf courses for $20. This place was over $40 and not worth 20. Go somewhere else

Excellent personal service. The venue was perfect size and location. What sets this place apart is the service and accommodating staff. If I were to ever have another event this would be the place. Casey and her team are professional and took all of the worry away.

Beautiful renovation. We had our Christmas party for our neighborhood Association there. Food and service was great and very affordable.Definitely going back to dine now that they are open to the public.

Decent price for what you get. Staff is very friendly. Course doesnt drain very well so will stay wet well after a rain comes through. Definitely on my list to play a few times a year.

We have a business group that has breakfast there monthly. Always a pleasure. Great breakfast too.

The HLLGA recently had our Member/Guest tournament luncheon in the Herons Nest and the staff did a great job. The food and services were excellent and we would recommend that anyone who has an upcoming event to check out the available amenities on offer at Heron Lakes Country Club. Carlos, Carla, Casey and Gabi went the extra mile to make sure that our event was fun and memorable for all of us.

We held a wonderful event at Heron Lakes in July of 2019. Casey was able to turn our event into reality with short notice, and the event went off without a hitch. A buffet lunch was provided by the club as well. We had a pork loin and a turkey that were carved by a staff member for each of our attendees. The audio and video equipment worked great, save one small issue with the wireless mic (I think the battery went out), and our attendees were able to see and hear all parts of the presentation.Great venue, would recommend for banquets and corporate meetings. Maybe next time Ill get a round of golf in.

Great place for a meal and a dip in the pool.

Had Thanksgiving Dinner thier for the 2nd year in a row, was wonderful. 2 things however......missed the musicians playing music in the background. And not having the serving trays labeled with what was in them. Instead of having to uncover everything to see what was in them. With that said, we will hopefully be back next year!!

Nice place, food was good. Needs landscaping around the buildings. It was all grown up with weeds and so bare in spots. All the people were extremely nice and accommodating!

You either have to be a club member or a golf card holder. Because it is not a public course you are not crowded and you never feel rushed. I love playing this course.

Heron Lakes is a beautiful, newly renovated golf course. The food in the restaurant is also really good. You can tell they are making huge efforts to improve things since the last the i was there about a year ago.

Awesome clubhouse and amenities. Golf course has not been cared for by grounds crew or superintendent. 15/18 greens are severly damaged. Will not play here again for $55.

Was here for a charity event. The site and service was wonderful. There were several activities at once during this time so parking was an issue, otherwise everything was perfect!

Lovely Christmas brunch, tree was adorable and Mr. and Mrs. Claus were absolutely perfect. My 5 month old grand daughter just loved them so much and was quite content to sit up with them forever.

Our first time to play the course. I really like the layout, but it could be in better shape. Definitely shoulf come down on non member rates, would increase play considerably. The staff were friendly. Overall it was a good experience, well be back.

Delicious Easter brunch. Plenty of food choices, and fun live music.

Very nice Country Club. Attentive and friendly staff. I attended a wedding there, and the only negative thing I have to say is their air conditioning needs an upgrade. It just couldnt handle the amount of guests.Please tip your bar tenders people. I always do, but a tip jar or jumbosnifter glass at the open bar wouldve been appropiate for this event.

One of the best golf courses in Alabama. Every hole was challenging.

I had heard that it had not been kept up well in recent years, but it was in pretty good shape and the greens were great. A challenging course that I would gladly play again.

The staff were courteous and very helpful and thr grounds were beautiful! I woukd definitely recommend this place for special events

Good meeting place to rent out

For the price how much can I complain? $33 for an afternoon weekday round but man this place is not in very good shape at all. Its a shame too because it does have a nice layout. The major problem was theres no signage, anywhere. I got lost a couple times traversing from hole to hole, there are no signs at the t-boxes, no signs anywhere. Theres been a lot of rain here lately, fairways were ok, but greens not so much. I dont think Ill be coming back here anytime soon.

Please give me the recipe for shrimp and grits!! My mom and I cant stop talking or thinking about it. I dont even like shrimp, but this was so good !! I cant find a recipe even close.....

Loved having our bridesmaids luncheon here! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very professional. The food was delicious, and the club itself was beautifully decorated.

Enjoyed my cousins 100 birthday party with music and food all was decorated and all had a wonderful time.

Not as clean as I had expected it to be. Lots of black mildew on sides of pool and mildew and rust stains on structures around pool. We have belonged to several pools and they were all much cleaner. Staff is very friendly, though.
