I was driving through Mitchell SD and decided to Stretch my legs at the corn palace. My plan was to take a few pictures of the building and then continue on my trip. I noticed this place across the street and decided I would have a look, Im glad I did. One of the reviews stated that it was a bit dark and a bit creepy which I can agree because I was the only person walking around looking at the displays and when you have a bunch of mannequins in a room that is dimly lit a person can get uncanny Valley effect.The person who runs it is a very nice guy, And he knows The Bible! Im sure you could come to him with any question and he could give you a rational and biblical answer to explain it.I Read or listen to my Bible everyday and I wouldnt consider myself an expert but I know enough to know that he know the Bible very well.If You ever happen to be passing through that area I would definitely recomend stopping youll be glad you did.Side note it is not open on Saturdays.

Loved stopping in here! Instantly met by a very gracious owner and he was very excited and happy to talk with us. We came in as strangers and left as friends. My husband was particularly impressed with the knowledge of the bible! We need more of this in the world!!! His place is very entertaining and fun and my boys had a great time in here looking at everything.

So glad we stopped here. Very unique place. Enjoyed chatting with owner. He was very friendly, and pointed out a really cool.personalized hebrew shirt for my son, then when I fell in love with shirt outside, because it was faded and pin holes in it, he gave me an awesome deal. I really enjoyed and appreciated our conversation about scriptures of interest in the bible. My visit was brief, but I am excited to return very soon with my oldest son. I know he will enjoy it. and appreciate it as much as myself and youngest son did.

My boyfriend & I arrived in town one evening and found ourselves curious about this spot due to the intriguing look of the building. We entered through the held open back door (I’d definitely suggest just going through the front door). The back door leads you into a dark room of displays relating to the Bible.It’s a bit creepy because no ones back there and it’s just you so enter through the front for less of a scary vibe. Yet see the displays these displays took a lot of effort and it shows-they’re really neat and we hadn’t seen anything like them before! Worth a look.Informative details:1. Bring a flashlight if it’ll make you feel more comfortable when you go through the displays (you can use your phone flashlight).2. Even if you’re not religious it’s something that’s simply stated-different and cool to view.3. Front door might feel better then back door entry here.4. They won’t push products on you.5. It’s free to check out the displays.

The Valtiroty Bible Land Park was the highlight of our trip to South Dakota. Our guide was so highly knowledgeable of the Bible, as well as warm, and personable. He could keep old and young captivated. We highly recommend this experience for every age group!!!

We’ve been traveling cross country on motorcycles and this guy is genuinely one of the most amazing characters we have met on the road.He’s hilarious. We are both none religious and had a very profound conversation with this gentlemen.A must stop if you’re in for a hilarious and great time.

Wonderful place, very friendly owner, he is very knowledgeable and the first time we went he was just starting to built the rooms /area, it was great to see it finish, a must to see and its just across the street from the corn palance . We will definitely be coming back again and again, it would be a great place from a small youth group trip

A very interesting place to stop. They have a lot of items which they have collected from the holy Land on display. Plus they have a nicely designed tour of the 12 tribes highlighting some of the key characteristics for each. Very nice place to spend some time. Preferable to the Corn Palace in my opinion!

I stopped by not sure what to expect. I am not religious, but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Very beautiful and interesting to see. The owners were very sweet and welcoming. Pictures just don’t do justice to how interesting this place is to look at.

What a fascinating and captivating place! The owner has truly created a mini bible land with detailed displays and my kids and I found it super interesting. I couldn’t get my kids out of the playground—-they could have spent hours discovering all the whimsical details in the air conditioned and very welcoming place. We stopped at several tourist places along I-90 and this place was our favorite!

This is a very cool place that exists! Prepared to become challenged in the best way possible. The staff is very friendly and has put a ton of work in building everything. Worth checking out! I would highly recommend :)

We entered not knowing what to expect and left happy that we stopped. The owner is a very pleasant person who is extremely knowledgeable about the Bible - was a very engaging conversation we had with a few laughs thrown in. The detail in the walk thru displays from the old testament were extremely interesting and you can tell the family has a passion for their ministry. Unique experience with a message of Gods love and mercy.

The gentleman that owns the place is very nice and friendly. The tour is great! Definetly worth your time to stop and check it out! Atmosphere is very enlightening:)

Loved this shop. Owner has done a lot of work to depict Old Testament life. No pressure to buy anything. We were encouraged to rest and enjoy the scenery. Great change of pace from the hustle and bustle of other places.

YOU HAVE YO STOP HERE. This is such an amazing place. The owner is such a nice guy, very friendly and funny. So many things to see and for sure you will have a laugh moment with the owner also, a refreshment for your faith. They have a playground for the kids (which I never sow something like this one), a small museum/exposition, and a souvenir store. Trust me in this one, a 24 years old guy who loves to travel and visit a lot of places telling you. I can even risk my own neck by saying that I enjoyed this more than the Corn Palace, which was kind of boring.

The shop owners were so sweet and brightened my day up right away. The merchandise was good quality at a great price and lots of humorous religious t-shirts. The shop was beautiful and me and my mom were greeted right away with kindness and enthusiasm.

Took my six boys to this place and they were thrilled. The owners made the experience memorable to my boys...told stories and made the Bible come to life. The walk-through was incredible. And the most amazing thing is they did not charge a penny. The owner is definitely a Christian and spent over 15 years in the country of Israel. Would recommend this to anyone. A definite stopping point.

The owners are so kind and loving. We took our 3 children in agter a LONG drive from KS and they welcomed them and even enjoyed their silly antics. Very knowledgeable about the Bible and have some great replicas of ancient Hebrew knowledge and artifacts. Would recommend their shop to any and all visitors young and old!

A gift shop that looks small, yet has tons of stuff. A museum with many artifacts from the middle east. A tucked away playground for those smaller kids (5 feet and under). Most importantly the owners are kind and vivacious people. Fun stop for anyone remotely interested.

I was first drawn in by the funny Christian t-shirts out front, but found myself having an inspiring religious conversation with the owner and his wife about Christian history, the importance of symbolism regarding the Old Testament as it points towards the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Plus, the kids had a great time in the play garden. If you are driving along I-90, this place is a must see!

This unique store has a jungle play ground that’s fun and exciting even for my teens. It’s centers around The Lord and everything about him. Lots of Christian tee shirts and souvenirs....

Very fun. Its great seeing the name if Jesus spread around especially where I dont see many churches. The people are very nice.

Im only giving it 1 star because its closed. My family and I went to the place, because online it says its open, only to find it looking shut down and abandoned. Was really looking forward to it.

Through all of our travels we have rarely visited such an exciting place as this. The proprietors knowledge of the Holy Land, history, and truth is impressive and makes for a greatly rewarding experience. Take a look at the other great attractions in Mitchell, but plan to spend some time at Valtroty. In our opinion it is the number one attraction in Mitchell S.D.

Great place, where you can learn about things from ancient Israel

Childrens area is not safe!!! Had a dead turtle with with small sign on it saying do not touch in the kids play area!!! Upon entering the smell was that of musty thrift store and stuff shoved on shelves.I am a Christian by faith but this is disgusting!!!Not going back!

I loved this place. It was so cool

I was expected to pay for an item that was accidentally broken during our visit.. this item was most likely worth 2 dollars and made of plastic but we were expected to pay 20 dollars.

The creepiest place ever! Its very dark and creepy. It shows scenes from the Bible but something is off. My husband and me are Christians and we felt uncomfortable like it was demonic in there. It was a very strange place.
