We had probably the best tasting drinks of our life there. It was so good, we broke our vacation itinerary and went again the next evening. Good vibes and good prices, with even better drinks. 5 stars

We went here during the reopening phases of the pandemic. I gotta say service was pretty quick and the drinks were amazing. It’s a nice chill place to have conversations. There was music but not too blaring that you can’t here the people next to you without yelling. Overall, I love the place.

A trip to Missoula without stopping here would be a shame. Surrounded by the charisma of the old town vibe. Local spirits are incomparable.

Amazing cocktails - the Smoke Tones was incredible - spicy, a little salty, and still very smoky and smooth. We tried two drinks each and were pretty impressed!

Solid hang...good custom cocktail options and legit regular go-tos. Nice vibe...plenty of space to stretch n chat and really good prices on their full bottles of spirits they distill here.

Passing through from Denver to CDA. Just barely made it in before closing. After a unforgiving bitter cold icey drive across Montana, Ive never been so happy to see a bottle of whisky. Sudden Wisdom... Two please!!

Called ahead, specifically for a bottle of Mama Tried High Rye Bourbon. The person on the phone said thered be plenty. Drove all the way over from Livingston, for a shoulder shrug! We were immediately told no dogs allowed, nobody offered to bring our drinks outside to us, nor did anybody offer water for the dogs (Huskies). Terrible attitudes & service from todays staff. Wont be back anytime soon, thats for sure.

Wonderful watering hole. A lovely mix of vodka spirits that are made with fresh, whole ingredients, oh, and one gin. We did a 1/4 ounce sample of 8 of the 11 options the had a Huckleberry Mule and a Four O Six mojito. Service friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Lastly, there’s a dog. That alone gets 5 stars.

Hot diggity dog these cocktails not only taste super unique (the smoke tones, for example,tastes like a lakeside outdoor fireplace), but the atmosphere is lovely. Better get here early, cuz they close at 7:45

I like this place. Its just really inconsistent. A great drink one night and a totally different drink the next. Happy employees one night and then people eager to leave the next. I hope they figure it out because its a great space in downtown Missoula.

The drinks can be very good here, but it seems to be a bit of hit or miss depending on wait staff and who they have making the cocktails. Regardless of the above their Whyte Laydie gin is a favorite.

I like a lot of the decor here but man oh man ...if you get stuck at the tables that have the little, swivel under, attached bar stools, youre gonna hate them. They are soooo not comfortable. My drink was great, but I almost just wanted to gulp it, to get it over with so I didnt have to sit there anymore. Uggggghhh If this is a sip and enjoy type place they need better seating. So my taste buds were happy, drinks are great and I love the smoked salt but my BUTT was sad so we left after just one drink. lol Youll be ok just avoid the chairs I mentioned

Where else can you buy craft cocktails for $6? YOU TELL ME. And wherever it is, I will guarantee it’s not near the ultimate tasty perfection of this titillating establishment. We always always always make time for two drinks at Montgomery’s when we visit. They have a two drink limit, are family friendly, let you order food for delivery from Notorious PIG, often post their recipes on postcards near the bar, have great gifts for purchase and have a deal with the Roxy: two movie tickets, two cocktails, $20. Did I me took the price point?? Oh, I did? Well, it’s worth mentioning again.

Really awesome, innovative cocktails made with their own booze and tons of local ingredients, and at really affordable prices.... nothing not to love!

The mixologist sure know their stuff! Not only how to mix great cocktails but the story behind the drink. Their delicious Kirschwasser contains the residue from 300 Flathead cherries! The distillery itself is cosy and comfortable. It even has a Bonneville Speed Record motorcycle on display (theres a fascinating story behind the bike!). Go and enjoy Montgomery Distillery, you wont regret it!

Its dimly lit so if you like that look then go for it! Most drinks are between 6-9 and theres no food but they look AMAZING and they taste even better! Theres something for everyone. The staff was really nice and its right downtown so you can walk almost anywhere you need to after.

Classy place to have a cocktail. These guys have really impressed me over the years as they have developed their distilling. Big fan of the caesars. Also, the tours of their facilities are a great date activity.

These are the best drinks I have ever had! Its a busy place so be up for standing while you drink, but with the two drink max you will get a table fairly quickly. Its a cool vibe with comfy places to sit and awesome stuff to check out on the walls, the staff are just as cool as the place itself.

Nice spot to grab a cocktail in downtown Missoula. The drinks were good but nothing spectacular. It appears to be bar ordering only, which is fine but a bit of a hassle if youve gotten comfortable and want a second drink. The old fashioned was good but made with crushed/cube ice. I enjoyed both of my drinks however and would go back to see how they are doing a few months from now. Its a nice switch from the brewery scene in Missoula

The only problem with this place is it isnt open late. We stopped in for drinks early in the evening. We were not disapointed by their signature drinks. We will be back, but earlier.

I work at a distillery in New York and the liquor here is top notch! The bartenders are very hospitable and know their products. I had a Sazarac and the Nightburner (one of their signature drinks) Both my drinks were Rye based and I love rye. Theirs is exceptional! Definately worth trying in Missoula!

Very nice place to have some well prepared fancy cocktails. The room is cozy and the staff is really nice. Just perfect for hanging out and have a great experience. Worth every penny.

I love how these folks have put such care into their creations. Their American Single Malt is an accomplishment to be proud of, and Ill be sure to keep some on hand for years to come. The Nightburner is the best whiskey cocktail Ive ever had. Go check this place out.

Great gin and vodka bottles,havent tried others. Cocktails have been really balanced and tasty some visits and watery other times. Recommend trying them out.

This is a very upscale establishment. They do a charity based happy hour on Mondays. The place is pretty snazzy and well decorated. The staff was friendly and inviting. Definitely a bit more pricey than other nearby bars, but this is not unexpected since it is a craft distillery.

We hit three distilleries today FUN! however, of those Montgomery was the least friendly. First time there.. Once we had two drinks And went to the bar to pay.... we were treated rudely... what do you want? not can i help you... kind of am arrogant guy. ... logger looking guy .. I so i WONT be back and my summer time visitors wont either. . Dont want my business I wont give it. PEOPLE try... Montana distillery always friendly and Goood. and the Rattlesnake creek distillery awesome..

Love the Montgomery Distillery. The drinks are unusual and delicious. If you get a chance take the tour, an extra bonus if your interested in learning about the distillery process.

This place is always perfect. Pleasant atmosphere, super casual and Montana but still nice, crazy good drinks that you dont find at most downtown Missoula bars, frequently made with fresh herbs and ingredients and the service is always fantastic. Theyre subject to archaic Montana laws restricting them to only serving two drinks per person, but Ive never felt like theyre trying to hurry us out after our drinks if we linger and talk or wait for other friends to show up. My friends that dont drink are always happy to come here with me because they have a decent non-alcoholic menu too.

A true Montana experience. Get the Sazernac, it is superb. Got to try everything once, and if you dont, you havent been to Montana

My husband and I stopped in to the tasting room before dinner on our latest trip to Missoula. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the staff knowledge and friendly, and the cocktails divine. We went in for the whiskey but absolutely fell in love with the Whyte Ladie gin. Montgomery Distillery is definitely going to become a must-do stop on our MT trips.

Excellent craft cocktails with impressive housemade ingredients (syrups, valernum, amaro, and much more). Upon reflection the two drink limit has more ups than downs, you dont have to wait as long to get a drink and no drunk idiots to make the place too rowdy. Definetely a must try.

Nice atmosphere and friendly, informative bartenders made this a fun experience. We didnt come at the right time for a tour, but got to sample several of their distilled liquors. The cocktails available on the menu were both standards and more inventive options. The ones we tried were delicious. Ask about the distillery walking tour. Visit all 3 in town, get your passport stamped and send it in for a stainless shot glass.

Great place for some very good mixed drinks at reasonable prices. The only crappy thing is state law limits you to 2 drinks smh when I can walk across the street and drink until u pass out. Whatever still good.

Great place for a good drink if you wanted a calmer atmosphere before you go out on the weekend or after a tasty dinner downtown. Notorious PIG delivers there too now so keep that in mind!

Whiskey Sour is pretty to look at and easy going down with just the right amount of tartness. Western Justice was smooth and delicious. Service was fast in early afternoon.

Was expecting the drinks to be a lot more expensive! Its a fancy sort of place, but they let you order in BBQ from Notorious PIG, so its not THAT fancy. Drinks are well crafted, and well priced.

Sat at the bar, first thing you noticed is all of the fresh ingredients they use and the wonderful smells that accompany them, the bartenders are very skilled at what they do, putting on a good show while mixing delicious drinks. Will definitely visit again!

Great drinks and a very cozy bar. Love the moto themed decor in the hallway to the bathrooms. Extensive cocktail menu and bartenders without a bad attitude. Great addition to downtown Missoula if you want a laid back cocktail not in a bar.

Simply a great place to get a cocktail. From my first to most current visit I have never been disappointed. Usually walking away with a bottle of Whyte Lady Gin (do yourself a favor and pick up a bottle).The staff and atmosphere cannot be bragged up enough. Thank you Montgomery for always being a place we stop on our way through or while visiting Missoula.
