Wow the best dog park in montana.bring a float. its basically a piece of woods partitioned off for dogs and people to play. amazing

The park was huge and plenty of trails for dogs to run through and explore. Access to the creek allows for dogs to play in the water to cool down on even the hottest days.

This was unlike other dog parks Ive been to... You could love it or hate it. Its right on the river and has a small section of grass but then leads to dusty paths with wildly overgrown bushes and a dry stream washout. Not sure how youd get your dog out of here clean or anything close to it. Both of ours needed baths right after

We floated the Clark fork River and went by Jacobs island Park.any park that is easy to access from being downtown so then feeling like youre out in the middle of nowhere nature its four stars if you ask me. Even if you dont have a dog to walk friend hang out with sitting along a river is always good. Collect your thoughts and stay a awhile.

Gr8 place to Float the River, play in the Water, & let your 4 legged Fury Friend have some fun in the Water as well.

Was so thrilled I stopped here on my road trip to get my pup some exercise! He loved exploring all the paths along the beach and throughout the more wooded areas too! Much bigger than I expected and everyone I met was really friendly!!

This is the best dog park!!! Its on the river with plenty of shallow spots, so even when its 100 degrees out everyone can stay cool.

We always have fun bringing our dog here. I park in the lot closest because Im a student and have a pass, but if you dont have one parking is $1.50 an hour (currently) or park in the Albertsons and walk over.Dio always loves playing with other dogs and theyre almost always friendly/playful. Its a fun place to meet other dog owners! :)Sometimes they have tennis balls available and there is always doggy bags to clean up after your pooch.

Amazing resource for the community and anyone traveling through. If you are driving through, Amabsolutely worth getting off the interstate to walk your dog here.

I used to love bringing my dogs here but no longer visit. Its been a huge disappointment. Dogs were not under owners control. Lots of dog waste had not been picked up. Sad to see such a lovely protected place being abused.

A beautiful dog park on a small island in the Clark Fork River. Parking is nearby, and it is located right off the Kim Williams nature trail. There is a nice play area for dogs, and if you keep walking east, you will have riverbank access. Lots of people enjoy playing fetch into the river with their dogs. This is also a wonderful park to visit without a dog, if you dont have one.

This is my favorite dog park Ive ever been to! Its huge, has river access, and it doesnt feel like a dog park. My pup loves this place!

Rocky shallow river beach. Trees and benches and picnic tables. Perfect place to play with the dogs.

Our dog had yet to experience a dog park and has had difficulty with bodies of water. Jacobs Island Park was perfect and full of friendly pups and owners. Our little Lady even worked up the courage to pit a paw in the river as other pups played fetch. All-in-all a great experience for our dog and us.

Great dog park. Would get 5 stars except that University police use the tempting parking lot right next to the entrance to issue tickets if you are not a university person with a parking permit. Would be nice if the website gave a warning about this, and perhaps tips on where to park without it costing you $20.

Awesome Bark Park! Island with varying features including a shaded tree area, large open grass field, a wooded area with lots of crossing dog paths, and a riverbed that is dry when the water is low and partially floods when the water is high. The island also has plenty of shoreline for dogs who love paying and jumping into the water (or just need a cold drink).

One of the best dog parks Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. Happy to call this my regular dog park. Best time is late spring early summer when the river runs through the park creating a creek for dogs to run and swim.

Great place for the dog! Large grass area, river to swim and if you walk far enough... some little trails and sand.I first brought my pup here as a test to see if she would run off. Once she earned my trust I can now take her fishing anywhere.

I like the dog park, but dogs are escaping often as it uses a Natural fence. If your dog doesnt mind some swimming and is a runner then you might have some issues.I understand the natural fence is pretty but I would rather have a safe place to take your dogs that is very tough for them to escape. Get a fence around it.

Great dog park! My only issue is that dangerous (and I dont mean breed) dogs are occasionally off leash here. We got attacked although no one got hurt, by a violent dog. Be aware of your surroundings. There is no one to get a hold of if you have a complaint either.

My (ten-year-old) bashful dog and I met many friendly dogs and people on our first visit and were planning our next trip, but sadly my dog was attacked by a much larger dog then chased by that dog and another dog. Neither owner called off their dog. Be forewarned. Dubious dogs and owners. Its a great park, but we wont return. (Yes, the attack dog was one of the breeds with notoriously bad reputations.)

Great dog park! Theyve recently improved the fencing and added more trash cans. Beware floaters leaving the gate open during summer.Easy parking on campus after 5pm, need a visitor pass to park there before. During the day, we park at Albertsons, walk across the pedestrian bridge, then the first left takes you into the park.

Incredible place to take your dog(s) to have fun either on land, in the river, or both! Plenty of other dogs for yours to play with, or plenty of room to play with your dog alone. Poo bags are available at the entrance (yet some people still neglect to clean up after their pets) but for the most part its a great park for you and your dogs to enjoy.For those wondering about parking, I park on the college campus at the strip of parking that runs north and south just north of the Adams Center. You dont need a permit after 5:00 PM and the park is just across the bridge.

Good dog park. Plenty of room for your doggie to run, even play in the water on hot summer days. Im not sure where the closest parking is though, weve always walked the River Walk to get there.

Nice dog park on an island in the river, can walk to the end and get a good view of the river. In the winter the park doesnt drain well and gets muddy so bring your boots

My dog Boba Fett loves this place. The options are endless for him to explore. The Clark Fork to swim, the trails to run and the smell of a million other K-9s make for an exciting day.

Great place for your dogs in Missoula for an easy visit with others pups as well. So many places in Missoula that are great, but this is the best if youre feeling like taking it easy while the dogs play.And, its a great place to get a small vibe of Missoula. 98% of people are easy going and let the dogs be dogs. I personally havent seen a person freak out over a dog tiff, as Missoulians understand it happens and you just break it up.Lastly, cant beat the views and river access as far as with yours dogs and other dogs for your pups to play with.
