Its a decent restaurant at s golf course. This is NOT what Id consider fine dining, but you sure are going to pay as if it is. This IS NOT a place to get red meat. Like many other reviews have stated... yoyr better off going to a chain restaurant for a good steak
Elevation is a very classy, upscale restaurant! My husband surprised me and took me here for our anniversary on a weekday night. I briefly read the mixed reviews online, so I knew that wait time & service might be an issue, along with overpriced food. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We came about ten minutes earlier than our reservation and were seated immediately. We didnt have to wait for glasses of water, and within about eight minutes, our server was there asking for our drink orders. We dont drink alcohol, tea, or coffee, so the only real options were soda, lemonade, or juice (grapefruit or orange juice I think.) I chose Sprite/7Up with some lime, and my husband chose the lemonade. Unfortunately the lemonade tasted horrible (too sour & watery), so our waiter apologized & brought him a glass of Sprite with no hassle. We ordered the Mozzarella Pesto Bruschetta to share for an appetizer. I loved it, though my husband was just okay about it. He said it wasnt worth the $12 price tag, but in my mind, it was delicious, classy, and I didnt have to make it! I loved how the crostini was lightly toasted & not hard toasted, which made it strong enough to hold the toppings without hurting the roof of the palate. I also enjoyed the use of halved grape tomatoes instead of sliced roma tomatoes - again, this made it much easier to eat. The fresh mozzarella balls are a favorite of mine, and the pesto sauce was divine. Probably the only thing I would have added would have been a little sweet balsamic dressing drizzled on the top or included on the side. For our main entrees, my husband ordered the Chipotle Blueberry Glazed Salmon with a side of fries, and I ordered the Creamy Pesto Steak. I adored every bite of my pasta dish. The penne pasta was cooked to al dente perfection and the succulent steak bites complemented the creamy pesto sauce, with neither flavor overpowering the other. I dont recall the parmesan breadcrumbs, as listed in the menu; perhaps they were included with the mound of diced & seasoned tomatoes on top.My husband first ate his fries and sauteed zucchini, then let me try some of his salmon. I was surprised that the glaze wasnt very spicy (a good thing for my mild palate!) and didnt taste like blueberries as much as it tasted like a sweet teriyaki sauce. It was still delicious, just different than what we expected. Again, my husband expected a larger portion of salmon for the price (Im guessing it was about a 5 or 6 oz piece), but the whole plate was enough to fill him up.I had read online that Elevation offered a free dessert for anniversaries and birthdays, and sure enough, our waiter said we could choose any item on the dessert menu. We chose the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse. I didnt notice till later that it wasnt the Chocolate Peanut Butter Crepe Cake as pictured and listed in the online menu - perhaps they had an issue with the crepes that week? Still, it was beautifully served in a clear glass cup, with a mound of whipped cream (cool whip style, not real dairy whipped cream) on top. Again, kudos to the chef for making a delicious menu item where the flavors of chocolate and peanut butter complemented each other perfectly with neither one overpowering the other! As for our server, we had absolutely no complaints. He was friendly and attentive, coming by several times to remove used plates and refill our drinks. Like I mentioned earlier, he replaced my husbands lemonade with no problem. And when the bill was brought, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was comparable to dining at The Olive Garden! My only main suggestion would be that they offer a few non-alcoholic mocktail options for drinks. If they did, I would visit again during happy hour and order another Mozzarella Pesto Bruschetta!
Incredible food and drinks. Great for a casual lunch or brunch. Fine dining in the evening but the quality of menu is the same regardless of the time of day. Prices are very reasonable. Beautiful views. This is my favorite local restaurant! Gives back to community a lot as well.
We ate outside, enjoying the pretty views of the coulee.I think service quality has been struggling the last year or two.One server (I think she normally worked the bar... maybe they were particularly understaffed that night) handled the 4-6 tables outdoors, and the service was slow, as we were left drinkless for a long while with no appearances by the wait staff.Lavosh appetizer was AWOL, and we asked a passing manager about it, and when he helpfully delivered it, it had gotten cool and soggy.Other customers were perplexed, waiting a long time to order. My wife knew what dessert she wanted immediately and that was brought quickly while I mulled the dessert menu, but again no server for like 20 minutes. I ordered and ate my dessert by myself.Food was fine. But on the whole the anniversary dinner disappointing.
Very good food and good prices. Nice atmosphere.
Had the Ribeye, was basically one large piece of animal fat. Seriously disappointed, for 45$ really expected more. Really wanted to like this place. That being said desserts were really good, and the server was polite. Saving grace for the place. Meat cut quality = terrible.
I gave this place three stars because I’m used to a much different quality of service and food. I’m from a major metropolitan area and these prices are comparable, but the quality just wasn’t there. I came to Elevation for brunch today and it started off poorly. The hostess disappeared for a while before bringing my brother and I to our table. We originally sat outside, but the patio was swarming with yellow jackets so we came back in. Our table inside was swarming with flies. I understand we’re out in the country and bugs are inevitable, but there are steps that could be taken to mitigate the number of flies. Our waitress was friendly. I ordered an orange juice and it was some sort of fake Minute Maid type juice. I’ve never been to brunch somewhere and not gotten freshly squeezed orange juice. The coffee was terrible as well. The food came out quickly but was subpar. Caesar salad had lots of wilted lettuce and the Caesar dressing definitely wasn’t made in-house. The chicken was also not very good. No rich anchovy flavor like I’m used to. The English muffin that came with my brothers omelette wasn’t toasted and they didn’t give him any butter or jam. Omelettes at Cracker Barrel taste better than this one . My drink glass had a black hair stuck to it, I’m blonde. I could go on. For anyone reading this who hasn’t been here and is thinking about going because the “nice” options are limited here in Minot, don’t do it. Just go buy some quality ingredients and make a nice brunch, lunch, or dinner for yourself at home. This place is definitely good compared to everything else out here, but compared to the hundreds of other restaurants I’ve been to it’s just not good, not at all- yet the prices are the same.
First time coming here and I was pretty impressed. For a town like Minot this is pretty upscale, for dinner. I had the Short Rib Risotto. The short rib was tender and the risotto was on point. Service was excellent and not long of a wait. The menu is pricey though but I had a great experience and would come again for special occasions such as date nights with my wife . Highly recommend giving Elevation a try!
Staff is awesome, food is amazing, and go at the right time n watch some golf while enjoying the outdoor seating! Been there a few times now and I never leave disappointed, worth the price!
Hreat views, friendly staff. Wildlife/deer coming out in the evenimgs. Classiest place to eat in minot.
To pre-face this review a bit, the first 8 years of my life my father was the US ambassador to Valencia Spain. I proceeded to spend the next 28 years of my life in the Bay area. Growing up in Spain quickly my favorite food became paella and while the greatest you will have is in Spain, the Bay area is no pushover. When paella is bad it is awful and deeply disappointing, when it is good it can actually be life changing. Imagine my shock when I go to a little Podunk town in North Dakota and I see on the menu paella. I won’t lie I imagined the worst, but the moment the dish arrived just looking at it I could tell this was going to be special. I looked over at my friend Mark I smiled and gave a slight grin like “you sly son of a gun you might just be right” I didn’t wanna order paella in North Dakota, it was him that talked me into it saying how amazing Elevation is. I had known Mark for exactly 10 years at the time. We had met and become best friends online playing World of Warcraft and for the 10 year anniversary of our friendship me, my wife and son came to Minot, his hometown, to celebrate our friendship. Well guess what?Within 45 days my wife and son were living with HIM! My son already calls him daddy! That should tell you all you really need to know. Apparently him not doing crystal every day makes him a better partner and father! To the birds with all of it, as far as I’m concerned World of Warcraft is the worst game of all time and a terrible platform, which I will NEVER play again!!!!!!
This place makes great food and fantastic drinks!
Went in on Sunday for the brunch due to the hype of this place. Had to endure a 45 min wait to get in and was seated in a crammed bar area. I was in a party of 5 and when we were seated the bar area virtually emptied out. Our server was a young gal and took our drink orders and disappeared. The four others had the bottomless mimosas and it took about 15 min for the first order to come out. We saw the them sitting at the bar waiting to be picked up and our waitress was no where in sight. This transpired thru our whole dining experience. The food we ordered was a bit pricey but is very good. I got the pork belly burrito and other members of my group tasted the skillets, Benedict, and the tacos. All had good reviews on the food. It is unfortunate that our server ruined the experience for us as it made it difficult to get drink refills even with just coffee.
The food was good, and the restaurant was clean and had a great view. Our server however was not on it. We sat for at least 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. We ordered bottomless mimosas that everyone raves about, only to receive the first after getting our food. Hard to drink bottomless mimosas at the rate of one per hour. The server checked on us one more time- when we were past ready for the check. I genuinely don’t think we’ll be back.
Had the 3 pork tortellini and the bacon wrapped chicken cordon bleu. Both were excellent. The atmosphere is a great combination of casual and classy. The dishes were pricey but the quality was good enough we will probably be back on rare occasions when we have something special to celebrate. As mentioned recently in another review, the servers did seem to have too many tables to worry about - our drinks were empty on occasion and the tab took a long time to arrive. Not worth docking to 4 stars but something worth addressing.
The place is beautiful and the food taste amazing but when you been up since 3am cause the wife got food poisoning from the place, you can only give it one star. Lucky for me I only took a bite of her food and was thinking, Im good I like my meal. My stomach is turning right now and I only had a bite of her food. Unlucky for her she had the whole meal. So $80 for food poisoning umm no thanks. What turned out to be a great date night turned into a horrible experience.
Beautiful place to be and eat. Delicious food that just looks phenomenal all around. The atmosphere of the establishment with the wonderous view is just a heaven so close to home. Would definitely come back here again.
Amazing view and wonderful atmosphere. the food also tasted great.
Excellent good and service with a great view!
Great food and we had an excellent view overlooking the course from the patio!
Food is always top notch... County club views are awesome.
I liked it alot, the view is great. I just think its weird where it is, houses all around it, but they are some beautiful houses
Nice patio. Great view onto the golf course.
Fantastic view of the course and their Cesars are 1st class!
Great food. But the views are to die for
Great food ppl and amazing view
Good food, delicious drinks & a great view
It is a nice place, the prices are little more upscale for Minot. The service was friendly .
Wonderful place to eat, relax, and enjoy spectacular food. Our waitress Shayla was the best. The gentleman that brought our drinks and appetizer was very kind. The view is amazing. Love the food options they have unique dishes and gluten free options. Wonderful experience
First time going and I was kind of excited to try them out. There is nothing special about the food, I have had better steak at Texas Roadhouse for less money. The service was just ok!Your paying for the view of a beautiful golf course and that is all. On the plus side my drink was pretty good
Food was very good. Service was good. A very enjoyable time was had by everyone.
I love the view looking out the window. I usually just go for the chili cuz it is so delicious. Ive had other food there and loved it but the chili is the best in town
My first time there and I must say, I was very impressed by the service and the wait time for food. The server was attentive and she timed the appetizer and main course perfectly. Food was delicious. Drinks was amazing
Was at a Christmas party. Food was good. They could of used water carafes at the tables and better pepper shakers. Staff was pleasant.
Id like to start out by saying Ive had countless great experiences at Elevation, and have never had bad food. But my last 2 experiences here have been so low par that I question if the service is going down hill, or if perhaps theyre having an issue with scheduling or influx of new staff. My husband and I went in Saturday morning for brunch. We got there right after opening, and it really wasnt that busy. However, it took my husband 20 minutes each time to get mimosa refills- I attributed this maybe to the fact that there should have been another bartender, so I didnt hold our waiter accountable for it. However, he never checked on us, and I ran out of water- which I never got refilled. I watched other tables around me experiencing the same thing. When we finally got our check, our waiter said Im sorry for neglecting you guys, Ive just been really busy. If I didnt have server experience myself, I might have bought that. But the restaurant had maybe 10 tops filled, and our waiter was splitting that with someone else. And to boot, someone else brings out the food. Thats not too busy to me- and even if he was, he had passed by us enough times that frankly its inexcusable to not check in on us.A similar experience happened to us the last time we went in for dinner. So Im hoping my feedback can help fill in holes with training/scheduling to allow for a better service experience next time around.
Always a classy but relaxed environment without a special dress code! Service was great and our server was very attentive.
Lunch and dinner are decent. Brunch wasnt very good at all
By far the best dining experience we have had in North Dakota. Our waiter was phenomenal as was the food and drinks. We will be back as often as possible!! Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
The view is really nice. Food is not so bad. Their soup and salad was tasty. Their chicken tender kids menu, the chicken tenders were very salty. Overall the place is nice and relaxing.
Great food and service
Food, atmosphere and friendly staff
Went for happy hour since they advertised 1/2 priced appetizers from 3:00 - 6:00. The appetizers were every good and the server was knowledgeable about the product and what went until it. Just wished they had a special price on a few drink choices to go along with the reduced appetizers.
Loved it thank you to Amanda
Food tastes premade. I like the view and the restaurant. Food is worse than average for the prices.
I went here with my husband for our anniversary. Unfortunately we went on a night when they were going over golf tournament results inside. It was chilly to sit on the patio, but it was extremely loud inside. We enjoyed the food, I got Chipotle and blueberry glazed salmon, and my husband got a chicken and pesto pasta dish. My salmon was overdone and tougher than I would have liked, but his pasta was very good. We finished with a donut ice cream sandwich, which was different and very good. There was a nice crunch on the outside of the donut from the sugar glaze and it was soft in the inside tired with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Our server was nice but pretty hands off because she was busy. Our glasses got refilled once but then remained mostly empty the rest of the meal. We had to wait quite a while between interactions. It took a long time to get our bill, but we didnt mind. We were not in a rush to go anywhere. It did get a bit cold. Some heaters on the patio would be a great addition to keep us happier. The experience was nice. The view from the patio was amazing. The course looked beautiful and the hills rolled behind. A few improvements would have made this a stellar night, but overall good.
Everytime we been here the staff and the food was great always enjoy visiting with friends here and the view is great
Avocado fries, lavosh, smoked Gouda fondida, pork sandwich with candied bacon and a yummy sauce on top. We all got something then shared. FANTASTIC! Can’t wait to come back again. Oh and the Mimosa was wonderful also!
Country club restaurant. Excellent presentation when you walk on the door. The energy in the place just feels upscale. The good was amazing and service was also just as spectacular. Up scale dining in a non formal atmosphere. Adult mixed beverages are wonderful.
Excellent experience & food was phenomenal! Definitely coming back in the near future. Time for some bottomless mimosas for brunch one weekend. Family friendly as well
Always love eating here, really good food thats rare to find in Minot, ND. I wish I could say Im a regular because everyone should eat here! Never have been disappointed with the food or staff, great prices for the quality of the items they sell.
Highly recommend! Delicious food, not anymore expensive than other restaurants in town. Great staff. Unlimited mimosas for brunch on Sundays
Delightful view and excellent lunch. Cant beat a grand view of North Dakota fall foliage and delicious tomato bisque soup with a cheese sandwich. Excellent service and food quality.
Good food and good drinks.
Booked a table for New Years Eve, We were severely disappointed, The food was sub par at best, especially given amount we paid for two people, just under $200. My order was incorrect, our meal was practically finished before the waiter came back to check on us & I found him to be rude. I don’t mind spending $ on a good meal or to enjoy a dining experience, but this was not the case at Elevation. My advice if you want a great steak in Minot go to Lone Star. I won’t be back to elevation.
Loved this place. Got shrimp tacos the healthy way.. lettuce wrap, aioli on the side and they where great about it. Servers were good, clean and comfortable. Service was slow is the only reason there..they dont score a 5
Nice place. A little pricey. The food is good. Had brunch there a couple times and it tasted great. However, the service needs improvement. The last time I had brunch there, we ordered the bottomless mimosas and it took almost 20 mins to get each round and they were about 3 feet away at the bar. The bartender was doing great, but the server didnt have any hustle at all.
Have had brunch and dinner here and so far so good! The breakfast potatoes were amazing! Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff :)
The food was superb, the atmosphere great, and the wait staff friendly. Will definitely be returning.
This place is top notch. They host great events. Their food and staff are great. Highly recommended for a classier dinner in Minot.
Doughnut burger is hella good.
This is a very nice restaurant with a great view overlooking the scenic golf course. Its an upscale place if youre looking to celebrate an anniversary or take your loved ones somewhere special. Brunch is highly recommended
I celebrated my 21st birthday here at Elevation with 15 friends and had a spectacular time! The steak and drinks were great, and the waiter was very sweet. They also had a nice collection of cigars.100% would celebrate here again!
Food was really good! Entrees were expensive but we ate off the appetizer menu and really enjoyed everything.
Very beautiful place and delicious food and excellent service
Great food, only reason for lack of 5 stars was the okay service.. it wasnt bad, but took awhile for a server to even come to our table when we first arrived.. still would recommend
Great, attentive service, delicious food, must eat desserts.
Great food. Casual place with a bit of an upscale feel.
Great food and amazing atmosphere! The only reason Im not giving it a 5-star rating is because drink prices are more expensive than most restaurants in the area.
B R U H their food made my taste buds whip and nae-nae
The food is excellent I had a pork belly sandwich and it was great their French fries are amazing they make great avocado fries also definitely great food.
Walked in and as I walked up to the hostess who was an elderly woman and she immediately looked as if she saw a ghost. She then asked me if we had a reservation as she rolled her eyes at me and my wife. Never coming here. Great hostess you have here. I usually don’t experience or complain about discrimination but this woman took the cake
Mediocre service, steak and fish over seasoned, and daughters burger came out after everyone else was finished with their food. Ive had better steaks at Applebees!
Upscaled dining experience with unique food options for the area in a relaxed setting. Breathtaking views from the outside dining area. Staff was pleasant. Mixed drinks and draft beer selection variety could be improved.
Excellent food and service.
One of Minots upscale dining establishments, food always is great. Bloody Mary bar is something special.
We had reservations our table was set up for us. They were fantastic with offering food for our baby. Our dishes tasted great I was just not satisfied with the wild rice option as it was not long grains of rice but more of a couscous. We got fried avocado appetizer the piece that I had was still cold in the middle. Overall a beautiful location to eat at and nice wait staff
A little pricey, but food and service is excellent
Great service and food!!
Great service and awesome food
Very very good good service and food
The steak we got was rare and was suppose to be medium well. The server didnt wait to have us cut into the steak and it took way too long to get the food
Really good food and the prices are still pretty decent. The best thing I can say about this place is probably that it almost doesnt feel like youre in Minot. Really cool relaxed brunch atmosphere. Definitely reccomend it.
Excellent place to eat!
Beautiful clubhouse and course.
Great service and food again
Dope place to eat, have a few and enjoy the golf course view.
Good fries
Our food and service were excellent.
You wont find better brunch anywhere in Minot. Elevation brings something to town that you simply wont find anywhere else: higher end dining with a beautiful outside view. Unfortunately, of the dozen times Ive eaten here, the service has been extraordinarily slow most often. It has become the norm to see drinks sitting on the bar for fifteen minutes until a manager brings them over without a word thanking for our patience or offering an apology for having to wait. The wait staff either doesnt care about the dining experience, or simply hasnt been trained properly and remains clueless. With that said, I will keep coming back because the times that service has been good have been worth it. You simply cant get what Elevation offers anywhere else in town, and the caramel rolls are out of this world.
My wife and I went here about 2 weeks ago for lunch for the first time and we really enjoyed it. This morning we were very excited to go and try out their brunch menu as we have been looking at it online and the menu looks great. We show up and the place is packed, which is good news for us. The host seats us and we order our bottomless mimosas. Then the waitress comes over and asks if we were informed about the buffet being the only thing on the menu today (for cinco de mayo) and we told her no, the host never informed us of this and we had already ordered our drinks. So my wife and I, disappointed to say the least, agree to the buffet because we are starving at this point. We go over and look at the food, they had bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs (nothing special in them), and what appears to be Ore-Ida store bought hash browns. They have store bought tortillas for tacos with some store bought salsa and chips, and all the toppings for the tacos and that is all of the selections for the buffet. We eat our food, drink our mimosas and tell the waitress we are ready for the check. I get the check and I see that is $24 PER PERSON for the buffet, absolutely disgusting in my opinion to charge that for a less than okay buffet. Probably wont be going back.Too long didnt read: Paid $24 per person for a lackluster cinco de mayo buffet..
Friendly staff and good cocktails. Food needs to improve.
Food was goodAmbiance very nice. Dinner and drinks way too spendy
