Pretty fun. Nice groomed trails with work out stations. Fruiting trees and an enormous community garden that needs harvesting badly. But alas, even though its been pretty much forgotten, even if not, there is so much food going to waste. And I would be trespassing if I grabbed a veg I knew was going iff soon.

I love this place because it has everything i need. Tennis courts, lots of kids and families, 4 soccer ball games going on at once, a trail to run/walk on, a huge playground & kids flying everywhere. Its awesome! And i can keep an eye on my 12 year old son playing basketball with all the older kids lol very family oriented. Ive been many times and have never seen any violence of any sort. Beautiful landscaping and play area for children. The park board is allowing people to camp in it--two tents up this morning.

Our family had brunch from the Birchwood Cafe on the grass under the trees. Kids were riding bike, climbing on the play ground, and playing basketball.

We love Matthews Park. It has a little bit of something for everyone. It has a splash pad/wading pool, nice playground equipment, basketball courts, tennis, soccer in the summer, hockey and ice skating rinks in the winter... There are lots of trees and green space, and its almost always hopping with activity.

Clean park and great for small kids!!! The locals are friendly, and there is a grill to BBQ. There is also a basketball court, tennis court, and volley ball poles. 3 different playgrounds.

One of our better twin cities parks. Continuous redevelopment. Multi cultural as well

Parks are essential

Love this park, it can be busy as heck but know that the city is really getting its investment out of this park!

There are 4 basketball rims and 1 full court. These are the best rims Ive found in the neighborhood, they are also the most crowded.

This is a bustling area! Theres basketball courts, tennis courts, a baseball area, you name it! I was at the park for a sand volleyball league team practice. They have a sand volleyball area too! We met a few young men leaving the basketball court who decided join in our volleyball game! And we saw some trainers in their crossfit routines. If you want to walk, rome, play, or just sit you can do it here. Get there early if you want a parking space!

Nice decent size park, has plenty of playground area for kids and even a baseball field. Seems like its near a school.

A great park for all ages.This is our neighborhood park - so we come here often.There are 3 different jungle gyms - one for each age group of 1-2, 3-5, 5-10.There is a wading pool open in the summer. 2 baseball fields / soccer fields. Sand box area. A nice path around the whole park - great for walking, biking, roller blading.

I love the park. It is really nice with plenty of space to sit. I dont have kids but I would say there is a lot to do. There is a basketball court, a tennis court, and a playground.

One of the nicer parks on the east side of Minneapolis. The small pool is a fun area for kids to play.

I Love this Park, Ive been going here since I was a kid

I love this childhood park attached to an elementary school. It has a big field, tennis courts, a sledding hill, basketball courts, and a few different playgrounds. Lots of trees.

I loved the hill and the friendliness of the area residence. Though, It was too cold without a warming house!

I only go on Mondays for club but its always fine. Parkings always easy and the staff are fine.

Its super fun and they have amazing staff and good equipment

LOVE Matthews Park. A great place to hang with friends and meet new, active people who almost always seem to care about community.

Spacious enough to find quiet spaces, even on busy days.

Matthews Park is a great place to go play and Seward school is a great place to learn they also have a hill for sliding in the winter and they usually have nice ice skating rink
