I didnt know this jewel was around the corner.
The Minnesota African American Museum is smaller than I expected, but surpassed my expectations of the immense amount of Minnesota African American history it incompassed. I was greeted quite warmly the moment I stepped into the entry. The displays are immaculate quality and accurately informative. As stated before Enjoy the experience. I will definitely recommend everyone who is a lover of American history to visit the museum.
Its an amazing place for all minnesotans to see. Actually for all individuals who visit Minnesota to see.
Great place to take kids on saturday mornings. They have a reading session and allow kids to read to each other. The book all AA authors!
Lacks basic professionalism and courtesy. We tried going there today. Checked website, checked Facebook. Both said the museum was open. Thought I might call to check. Nope. No phone number. Drive over half hour only to find a sign when we got to the elevator in parking museum that it was closed. Can they manage an engaging, safe and interesting museum if they cant manage basic tasks? Take some lessons in basic courtesy and business. Maybe contact one of the other ethnic and historical museums in the area. The Germans, Swedes, Hmong and the more inclusive MN Historical Society did the right thing! Please learn from them!
Amazing experience and will be coming back!Thank you we needed this in our community
Loved the, usually Ommitted, rich, self-portrait history of existance and accomplishments, against all odds.
I give them an A for effort. Just enjoy the experience and be prepared to read.
A wonderful place to visit.
Great information to see our black history
Small intimate and great storytelling circle for kids!Their events are spot on!
Too small but very interesting.
