Had and awful experience in Stillwater today.Rented a pantoon that kept sinking.Try to exchange the boat but they didn’t allow us. Fine! We figure out. On the way back we hit a huge amount of traffic. Trump parade going on. So we brought the boat back almost an hour late! Fine! I read all the rules and was aware I’d have to pay and extra $100.00.When we were docking, this child Gavin was the most rude person I ever encounter in my life.To a point that he got in the boat while I was finishing cleaning and took off while I was getting off and I almost fell in the water.Horrible experience.Think 2,3,4 times before you rent anything with them.Rudolf awful entitled kids.
I have to admit that I havent rented a boat through this company. The 1 star is because of how poor the website experience is. I went to the website and after it fully loaded, I was unable to click on any link. It was like the template froze. I couldnt click reserve a boat or pricing. Im definitely not going to take the time to call if the website is that poor.
We have been member for 4 years and until this year it has been amazing, great concept, great locations, great staff, great boats. But this year is another story. I dont know if they saw an opportunity to cash in on the COVID thing but it is very hard to find an available boat to rent this year. In years past you could always find something available during the week to spontaneously rent. I just checked the website and as of 6/29, every boat on every lake in the twin cities is booked every afternoon for the next week. The membership has grown beyond the boat supply. If you want to go boating, this probably isnt for you.
Awful experience. Boat kept sinking.Gavin was the most rude person I’ve ever seen.I also watch him be rude to other clients.Avoid this place at all costs. Also our depth finder stopped working, we called while on the boat to figure out what could be wrong and the person on the phone was also extremely rude.Stay away.
This is our first year in the club and I am surprised at how difficult it is to get a boat in the afternoon on Minnetonka, Waconia, and Prior Lake - our main lakes. I understand the, only-one-reservation-at-a-time rule, but I thought the day-of access, especially in the middle of the week, would be better. Well see how the rest of the summer goes.
Terrible experience with the boat club, I called the Owner Michael Jellish to complain about one of the boat hands not following covid 19 protocol .The deck hand was in his underwear when we got back to the dock and had no face mask on, he was not practicing social distancing etc. When i reported this to ownership they told me I dont see eye to eye with you and maybe we should cancel this membership one week later i was terminated for no reason. The kicker is Michael tells me he is not giving me any refund ( tier 4 member). Im going to have to sue them to get my money back.... beware....
Love renting from Your Boat Club. Not only is this a great service to have for our many MN lakes, the customer service is always top notch.
Worst boat club. The day we were scheduled was raining badly. And they’ve refused to reschedule on a sunnier day.
Screw this place - If you cancel your boat rental within the 7-day period, NOT ONLY DO THEY TAKE 10% OF THE RENTAL FEE, THEY KEEP YOUR RENTAL FEE AND REFUND YOU AS STORE CREDIT.Dont use this service, or be sure that you have no family emergencies on the horizon which may require you to cancel your rental, otherwise youre out $500+ until you want to rent another effing boat from this shady place.
Great outfit, great boats, loads of fun, very responsive. Will absolutely rent from them again.
The staff is extremely professional and accommodating. They have superior customer service and provide an overall very pleasant experience. I look forward to booking with them again in the future!
Convienent - Helpful - FUN! The office staff to the deck team are all just the best to work with! Helped us get our feet wet and back into the joy of boating & relaxing! Love the online reservations - so easy to see whats open and where! And so many locations to choice from!!! Totally great experience
Im on my 3rd year with the club and have been very pleased with the overall experience. The boats are newer models (I believe they run them for 3 yrs) and the staff is exceptional! They have the reservation system down to a science so it is very rare that I am unable to get a boat. Its also nice that they have numerous locations to try out different bodies of water. So far no complaints!
We were members this past summer and LOVED it! Staff was super friendly, flexible and accommodating to our needs this summer! We had a blast- WAY easier than owning a boat. No maintenance, no trailer, no downtime, no storage... great for people like us!
Awesome boats! Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Thank you!
Rented last summer(2017) in Brainerd. Helpful staff, boat was in good shape. No hidden charges. I will probably rent this summer(2018) on St. Croix River. Hopefully customer experience will be similar to Brainerd experience. Prices are competitive also. UPDATE. St. Croix River rental was another great experience. Dont go to green building like I did when picking up boat. You are directed via signage to park there but that building is not related. Go to blue uni-bomber shack 100 ft south to check in. Gas was included for this rental but not at Gull lake. Staff was friendly and stopped me from accidentally refilling gas tank. Ladder was broken on back of boat, they provided temp. Still recommending this place to everyone.
Staff on the dock was generally friendly and helpful. Had several instances where I felt management was unreasonable. One involved the accusation that I had somehow damaged a trolling motor. Turns out it was another member. Another problem I found was the boats sometimes did not have the needed equipment--like a rope so one could ti the boat at a dock. My biggest concern is with the cost versus the use. The numbers simply dont add up. Less expensive to rent a boat by the day.
A+ Customer Service!
