I loved going here with my uncle when I was a little girl. Watching boat races, dancing and eating. The pianist who worked there at the time would always play Rubber Ducky for me. I sure enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Thanks for the beautiful memories SSYC.. happy sailing

Growing up, family are long term members. Ive seen a lot of improvements over the years, hope to see more soon.Great view of the water, with vessels entering and exiting the points. Food is good, might have to wait a tad to get served, but they are very nice folk.

We were there for a private party but it was a beautiful place to have an outdoor party on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. The staff was very pleasant and helpful!

Nice place to walk and just sit by the lake the South shore water frolics are fun as well!

We stopped by to post a notice of folding bikes that we have for sale. The lady was very gracious and said she will post them. It is a beautiful facility

Had a celebration of life here a few weeks ago. The food was very good and service was prompt!

Fun location, low key atmosphere. Wing night is always a pleasure. The view is fun, but a bummer that it faces East instead of West.

Gorgeous place. Has a bar inside to watch the games, etc. Grounds are nicely kept. Parking lot and benches to watch the boats coming and going.

The South Shore Yacht Club is located on the southside of Milwaukee. It provides slip rentals (230 slips available) and has two derricks for loading and unloading the boats. Maximum capacity for the derricks is 15 tons, 55 foot boats. They hold races during the summer and offer a youth program. There is a restaurant on site.(If you have to ask the fee, you should probably use one of the other launch point in Milwaukee.)

Not friendly or welcoming to outsiders it seems, unless youre part of their Yacht Club. We stayed for two nights and walked out before we could be seated for dinner because of how we were treated. Not to mention how unfriendly most of the members are. They act like they dont want you there. We wont be back!

Well,its a private club and I was a guest.The bar is panoramic and overlooks lake Michigan.Great views.Modest but interesting selections at both the bar and restaraunt.The staff was professional and friendly even though they knew I was not a member.If you are somewhat nautically inclined check it out for a possible membership.

This place was a delight to go sailing before the end of the season with my friends. It was a bit tough to get out of port, but that is probably due to our lack of practice. Overall it was fun!

We were very pleased with our overnight stay at the club. We we initially called the club they had a can do attitude for dockage. The dock master went out of his way to find a good slip for us and helped us tie up. We enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere of the club members and the good service at the bar. When we asked some members in the parking lot on how to get to Tenutas they just took us there. Overall a great experience. Tenacity Dick OConnell

Great place. Membership fees are reasonable and the members are all very nice. They also have a nice bar and restaurant that caters to the members.

It really is the Harbor of Hospitality, Our family became members a few years ago and we have made so many good friends. The club has fun events all through the year.

A beautiful facility right on the water. We visit annually for the WMHS dinner and always love learning about the establishments history.

Best yacht club around. Whenever Marianne is in town thats where we go.

We do a lot of work here on boats. South Shore is always easy to work with! Parking is available, as well as loading space.

A friendly place with many services. Worth going out of your way to visit.

I am bias because I have worked there for years but it is a family friendly place thats in a great neighborhood with a good location on the water.

The best place on Lake Michigan to keep a sail or powerboat, hands down. Increidibly affordable, but with the amenities you really want. Friendly, staff & members, excellent facilities and a comfortable place to belong to. If I didnt belong to SSYC, I doubt Id join anywhere else.
