First time buying a new pair of skates in 10years & i love emm! i don’t know they’re names sadly, but the man at the front counter was so nice & generous, I didn’t have an appointment & squeezed me in. The man helping me with my skates was very helpful & patient with me. He was very funny & it was nice knowing we go to the same skating rinks. I will most definitely be coming back for wheels.
The guys in there were so kind and helpful!! I just started biking and I know nothing and needed my tires pumped. They were nonjudgmental and very supportive! They taught me how to fill my tires and gave me a tip on how to be safer on my bike! I also bought a helmet which I don’t know anything about. They took their time to fit my head correctly and had great conversations!A wonderful shop with kind workers. Defiantly the place to go if you want to learn and not be judged!
Great local shop for anything bike and skate related. They are always super nice and want to help you make informed purchases.
I loved this place. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back for all of my skate needs!
First time roller skater and went into the shop to buy new toe stops. Being new to skating, I didnt know that toe stops arent universal and the toe stops I bought wouldnt fit the skates I have. I wish the worker had asked me what kind of skates I had so I wouldnt be out the $20 for toe stops I cant use. They have a no exchange/no return policy which makes 100% sense due to COVID and I completely understand, but Im just letting others know to make sure to get the proper gear/equipment as to avoid what happened to me. :(
Wonderful experience! Low key, no pressure, so helpful. Kind vibe.
Pretty cool place with nice, knowledgeable crew. Went in for some outdoor roller skate wheels, Brian helped me with all the different varieties they have and shed some light on this novice skater.
Super friendly and got my order shipped out earlier than expected
Love this place. It was about to close and they helped me replace my bike seat. Definitely going back!
Awesome local shop, skates and service. I hadnt skated for 30 years. This shop hooked me up with a sick set of derby type skates, gear, wheels/jam stops for dancing. I went 7 hours at a disco event. Wipeouts sure, but the night was worth it.
Super helpful, informative and great local shop! Grabbed a full set of roller derby gear here. Was so much nicer to have everything fitted to me vs buying online!!
Safe, friendly and knowledgeable. Your only stop for roller skates.
Knowledgeable and helpful team. Great selection, great prices, great selection. Definitely will be back.
Brian runs a great shop. I recently purchased an SE Big Ripper and I love it. He is also helping me with a bmx build for my son. He is very knowledgeable and really explains things well. Ill continue to use Bigfoot for all of my bike purchases and repairs.
A great shop. Brian was very knowledgeable and wasnt just trying to sell me something. I could tell he had the customer in mind whilst talking to me. I just bought a longboard from him today, looking to learn how to skate.UPDATE: Havent gone a single day without at least an hour of practice. Loving every minute of it.
Wouldn’t even sell me a tire for my modded bike, came all the way over to the shop on a bald tire w no scabs and he turned me away at the door for being silly enough to put an engine on my wheels. Really wanted a local store to support but I cannot when they don’t want to support their own business.
We picked out new helmets for bike riding. I went in for blades but they only sell quads. But I think the guy behind the counter might have talked me into coming back for skates.
Bigfoot bike shop had a really great deal on a bicycle I had my eye own for a while. The person who owns the Bike Shop is incredibly nice patient and experience. The bikes are more than you would expect if youre looking for entry-level bike riding bikes. But still comparative you will be saving money going here.Bike repairs are a good price and you even get a coupon off on your first bike tune up, if you purchase a bicycle there. The hours are good Im able to pick up my bike typically at the end of the day if in need of repair or get any parts that I need at a decent time! He even does follow up calls which I think is pretty cool. All in all an excellent bike shop that I will definitely be going to as a regular customer. Attached is a picture of my bike I freaking love it!I
Brian is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about his products. He spent a great deal of time going through options and pricing for my roller skate setup, which was great because Im not as familiar with outdoor skates. Seriously, just go there.
Just purchased a really nice SE Hefe there today for a great winter season price. The shop is clean and well organized. Theyve got a solid selection of bikes that you can test ride if you leave your Milwaukee drivers license and a credit card. I dealt directly with the owner, and he was a genuinely nice guy who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the various bikes I was interested in. This place was very down to earth and wasnt condescending or snide like some bike places can tend to be. Im happy I heard about Bigfoot Bike and Skate; its the first place Ill go from now on for bike stuff. Took my new ride for about a 4 mile spin earlier and its awesome, just what I was looking for!
I have a question? Do you sale ice skates
Very awesome store/staff. My gears were randomly changing and my back tire was flat so I took it in and received a price and time-frame for both. Now my bike rides perfectly and the cost was very low. The bike tech even stayed open an extra 10 minutes because I was late driving back from up north. I highly recommend taking your bike here.
Im so happy and impressed with my bike tune-up from Bigfoot! Its infinitely better than tune-ups I got from another SE bike shop I went to for 10 years prior. I feel like I have a new bike with such a smooth ride, no catching in the gears anymore, less strain on my knees & I can ride further than last year. Quite the magic on an older Trek hybrid! Thank you!
Knowledgeable and helpful. Brian was a big help in finding some tires for my old American bicycle and new wheels for my skateboard. Having them in stock for a nice price kept my weekend rolling.
I got a flat tire on an old bike recently and I went to Bigfoot because it was the closest (I had to walk my bike) and because I needed it fixed ASAP (it was my transportation to work). I wanted a new tire but without asking me he put on a used tire that someone had left there selling me something that cost him nothing for $10. He made it seem like he saved me ten dollars and at the time and I thought well if it works great. I just wanted my bike fixed. Less than a week later however I got another flat tire. There was a huge hole in the tire. I took it back ended up giving him another $40 ($70 in total!) to fix it again. 5 days later on my way home from work I got another flat tire. Apparently he didnt even replace the used tire he sold me that now had a huge hole in it, he merely replaced the inner tube! I couldnt believe it! 3 flat tires in less than 2 weeks. I felt taken. I was understandably upset. I would recommend never getting your bike repaired at Bigfoot. This guy is terrible!!! Instead take your bike to Bens Cycles on Lincoln. The service is faster, its a lot cheaper and the selection is huge. I just wish I went there first. I could have saved myself $70... Well now at least I know better.
I recently stopped by with my boyfriend who was looking to get into skateboarding again. We forgot to look at the hours and even though we came at close, the owner let us in and helped us pick out a board. He was incredibly helpful and even talked to us about some upcoming derby events. I would highly suggest anyone looking for bikes, skates, or skateboards to stop by here! Great customer service and knowledgeable staff!
Huge selection of bikes and skateboards and when I say huge supply its a lot of stuff. Knowledgeable staff that are willing to help you find what your looking for. The prices are actually good for a independent shop.
Built my Roller Skate Blocks. Im infinitely pleased. They even remember my Birthday.
Great service I bought my penny board from here and I love it
Great little shop in the heart of Bayview. Great merchandising and super friendly staff. Carries all the essentials but if you need something specific youll have to order it. Highly recommend.
We purchased 2 bicycles from Brian @ Bigfoot Bike & Skate this year & we cannot say enough great things about Brian the owner of the shop & the bikes he sold us (D8i & M7i). Public Bikes is the brand. Youve probably never heard of them. They are fantastic. Brian is the only authorized Public Bikes dealer in Wisconsin. He carries of stock of these @ his store but we ended up special ordering both our bikes. His pricing was below what it would have cost us to order the bikes directly from Public & he assembled them for free plus we didnt have to pay for shipping. 3 months later, weve had a couple hiccups (crash & frame sizing issue) with these bikes and both Brian & Public have stood behind their product 100% and gone the extra mile to help us out. Would not hesitate to purchase again from both Bigfoot & Public again in the future. Hope Public makes a tandem frame soon.
Cool shop! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great customer service and a good selection of BMX, fixed gear and commuter bikes along with longboard and old school skateboards.. My bike was tuned up and ready to ride the next day! They also sponsor the local roller derby leagues so they sell old school quad roller skates and tons of safety gear and helmets. Not the biggest shop, but easily one of the best.
Very cool store. Worth checking out.
Great place to go for quality bikes, skates, and advice
Tried to fix something without the proper tool. Not sure if they just dont specialize in geared bikes (why I gave 2 instead of 1), but I went in to get a bent derailleur hanger straightened. I was told they would be putting a wrench on it and bend it. I worked as a bike mechanic for 5 years. Had I fixed this problem by putting a wrench on a frame, I would have been fired.
I could spend a small fortune in this place
Staff/owner is very friendly. Not the most extensive selection of bike gear in the store. Seems geared more towards online sales and skateboards.
