I’ve had many tattoos in the past. Started going to Mario at moving shadow ink about five years ago. Mario’s I for detail execution of my ideas and overall look of the tattoos have many people giving me compliments. I would highly recommend moving shadow ink for any of your tattoos. That sound good

The dots above the is were supposed to be hearts.Cant say for sure but the arrow tip and the heart because it was a shaded area Im not sure if they went too deep but they both got infected and my heart the red fell out and scabbed over so I pretty much lost all the red in the heart

I will never go back to this place for a tattoo again! I wanted a tattoo with my kids name and the girl that did it did a horrible job. She didn’t even properly fill the name in with black tried to draw a heart and it doesn’t even look like a heart. She also had me flex my arm when it should have been relaxed so now the tattoo is all off centered. Now I’m gonna have to spend like 300+ just to get it fixed. She told me that I could come back in a month and she would fix it for me but in all honesty I would rather just pay money to have somebody else do it the correct way. Not to mention it’s not even what I asked for she drew something up for me and don’t get me wrong I did like the concept but I would’ve liked it better if it was done right. I asked for watercolor and it doesn’t look anything like watercolor. i’m just so disappointed that I spent $200 on this tattoo and now I have to go spend more because I have to get what she did fixed.

Moving shadow is the best tattoo shop around. I have had a wonderful experience with Lola. She removed all 7 of my tats leaving absolutely no scarring or marking. My skin looks amazing! Pricing extremely reasonable. Now I am ready to get tatted by Mario who does amazing work!!! This place has become my second home!

Friend of mine was repeatedly touched inappropriately while getting a tattoo. It is the job or any artist to make sure the client feels comfortable and SAFE while tattooing and this shop failed miserably. Avoid for your own safety.

Its been a couple of years since I had my tattoo done by Jon, and though it was not what I wanted at all and was done so poorly, I was afraid to go back to see if anything could be done to fix it.

I got an itty bitty tattoo today when the shop first opened. Pretty sure I was the first person there. I worked with the apprentice who was very professional throughout the consultation process--she made sure she had the design and placement I wanted. She was great about giving me advice for how to prepare for the day. When I came in for the tattoo, her attention to detail was so high quality that she adjusted the template a tiny bit to make sure it was straight on my wrist. She was considerate, quick, and kind. Would definitely work with Courtney Meier again!

Unfortunately wasnt able to get a tattoo because my tattoo artist didnt show up. Waited a little after 30 minutes. But I got to say, he did reach out and apologize. So I give it 1 because I dont know if there good and it was unprofessional on their part.

Nina is absolutely incredible. Her professionalism and attention to detail is what separates her from the rest. I had a vision of what i wanted and she brought that vision to life. If I could give more stars I would but google only allows 5. But for the record she deserves 10 stars. If you want the highest quality in Milwaukee you want Nina.

Jon at Moving Shadow Ink is one of the best in the business. He gave me his personal cell to text him updates and ideas for my wife’s tattoo as well as my own. He was able to do both of ours back to back which was awesome. Excellent work and great to talk to during the whole process. We will definitely be back soon!

Their work is fantastic but we had a 3pm appt and we got taken 2 and a half hours late. Never was told ahead of time on pricing. Overall pretty frustrating experience .

I wouldnt go here. If you know what artist you want, okay go for it. But I walked in asking for a very simple tattoo, and ended up with an apprentice. They didnt even tell me she was an apprentice! I have scars on my tattoo, and it is uneven. Worst tattoo I have by far. Fuuck

I was a last minute walk-in, and was lucky enough to get a perfect tattoo done by Cisco! The artists here really pay attention to the details, and give you great stylistic suggestions without being pushy. I came in with an existing design, but have seen some of their own design work and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for fine details and quality linework. I never fail to get compliments on my piece when its shorts weather!

Yeah I got a my first tattoo there that was literally like three straight lines of black. Guy made it seem like he was doing so much work. Charged me $150 for what should have been maybe a $50 tattoo. I felt used.

My artist was Jon. My piece came out flawlessly, the pain was minor and Jon himself was a cool guy. Definitely recommend

They are so warm and welcoming. I hate when tattoo places treat you with a cold, closed off attitude like it doesnt matter whether youre there or not. Im a pretty shy person and they made me feel comfortable right away. So far, this is THE friendliest tattoo shop Ive visited. The inside of their shop is really cool too.

***Dont go to this place if you expect good service!!! ***My artist was alright, work well done, but the store is not willing to return my deposit $50, which is supposed to go towards my payment. I had one small tattoo and paid for my service in full on that day. I decided not getting another tattoo and requested for my deposit return. The receptionist said if the artist is okay and they can return my deposit electronically. I later talked to the artist. He is totally okay with that. After a week I checked back with the store because I did not receive my refund. The same receptionist said the owner would only give store credits. I confronted the receptionist about the different advising she gave me earlier. She said she understood but its up to the owner to decide and refused to let me talk to the owner. I finally reached out to the owner. I explained my situation. He said he doesnt care what I think of what a good business is. He is not going to issue any refund. It is just $50...and they did not provide any service for that. I dont understand why returning this deposit would be a issue. Anyways, strongly dont recommend this place because of their terrible customer service.

Moving shadow ink is by far the best tattoo experience that I have ever had. The atmosphere of the waiting room is very welcoming and inviting and the quality of the art that is done there is through the roof. They have great customer service and they are very professional but also make you feel comfortable during your tattoo experience. I will definitely be back for more!

Shop is extremely clean and the artists are more talented than anyone else Ive seen. Love that their artwork is displayed throughout the shop. Ive gotten tattoos and piercings here and I havent been disappointed. The piercer went through the aftercare thoroughly and also gave me a card with the instructions as well. Ive had no problems with the piercing and my tattoos look FANTASTIC.

I recently had my nose piercing done here and I had a wonderful experience! The facility was very clean, organized, and they were very thorough with piercings and the healing/care of them. Likewise, the lady who pierced it (Lexie) was so sweet and understanding. I strongly recommend anyone who wants a piercing at an affordable cost, in a SUPER clean environment, with great staff!

Just got a tattoo there from Mario! I walked in and first thing I noticed was the place was very clean and welcoming. The staff was extremely freindly and made me feel comfortable. While waiting for Mario to get ready I was able to watch movies on two huge flat screen tv’s which was pretty cool. Mario did an amazing job with my tattoo and could not be more happy with my experience. I already wait to go back and get another! I highly recommend this place to all my friends and anyone thinking of where to get there next tattoo!

I have been going here since Mario opened the shop with small humble beginnings. Mario looks for artists to push the the next generation of tattoo artists in Milwaukee to the best of thier talents. You pay for great art so expect to pay for an excellent tattoo. The shop has always been clean with friendly staff. The art is unique to Mikwaukee native Mario Z that hangs in the mini gallery. If you want a detailed piece it does take time to draw and prepare unlike TV where its cut n edited. Do not expect to walk in and have a huge back piece completed the same day. When you want quality you want it done right. They do take walk ins as well based on the size of the piece. The staff is busy but there is an off season too. Each artist sets their own schedule. Lexie is awesome with piercings too.

Been to many tattoo parlors before. This shop had a great reputation, but if you stop in there and they dont know you, prepare to have them put up a huge front. Great artists there, but theyre not top-notch. They should learn to swallow their egos so they can bring more business.

Worst experience ever and Ill never ever going back there again!I had and appointment and was there 10min before and when Jon got there my surprise that he had another client at the same time, so unprofessional and disappointing and s big shame. This shop used to be the best one maybe two years ago but now Ill go to a real professional shop. He was clearly being racist and preferred to make the tattoo to another person.

I was having problems with my tragus piercing and Drea was very patient and gave me advice on how to clean my piercing. My piercing feel better already!!

They need to work on their customer service. I walked in to just ask about their prices and their services and the lady that greeted me didnt let me talk, she was so focused on kicking me out because I didnt have my birth certicate with me. I went to Avante Garde afterwards and it was a total different experience!

Came here to get a back piece which John aka Jonxilla did and ended up with a super wishy washy tattoo for Extremely over priced. Was very rushed, freehanded some which made it uneven and overall had to get it redone by another artist and when I messaged him that it was way too expensive and that I wanted him to fix it up he stopped responding so would not recommend. Will not be coming back.

The manager (Randy I believe his name was) was super helpful in booking me an appointment, he set me up with Cisco who did an amazing job with the lettering and details of my tattoo, overall great experience and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality tattoo

I had the pleasure of starting my full arm sleeve with Mario this past Saturday. He is a very professional tattoo artest and artest alone. He made me feel very comfortable for the session and even had me help work on the design so it will end up being somthing bad ass and work well as a cohesive full arm sleeve.I have waited a long time to start this and I dont take my tattoos lightly so I searched for the best shop possible and found it. Good tattoos arent cheap and I know this. I am paying for somthing that is an investment in myself and I chose the best.Hands down best tattoo shop in Milwaukee and this part of the state. If you are serious in getting your art and understand what goes behind it check out moving shadow ink you will not be disappointed.
