Very knowledgeable and professional. My son got a bow for his birthday and popped the string off. After fixing the bow they are willing to show him how to use it properly in their indoor range.

Something youll figure out early on is that Jerry isnt messing around. He knows his stuff, and if you take the time to listen - youll be a better sportsman. His place is great, and very much an old neighborhood style shop. Youll never find a big box sporting goods store that knows more or will treat you better than Jerry. Going anywhere else is just plain dumb.

Hands down this is the best Archery Pro-shop in central MA. I walked in not knowing a thing about archery and before I left jerry had my new Hoyt Carbon RX-1 dialed in and shooting on point. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else, jerry is the best around.

Great place. Great selection. Great people. What else can you as for? You simply cannot have too many of these specialty shops around. Yes, you may pay 50 cents more for a package of field points but do you think the guys at Dicks or any other large big box store are going to be able to help you with the correct selection of arrows, etc. That help/service/guidance is invaluable.

Found out about Jerrys online because I had been looking to purchase a Hoyt bow. I took a trip down there and knew that I was in the right place. Jerry was wicked friendly and helpful and showed me around the shop. They have a good selection and are priced fair. He let me test shoot the bow in the range upstairs and gave me a few helpful tips. I came back the in the next couple days to purchase the bow and one of the employees was there and was again funny, nice and helpful. Go here before you ever go to the big name stores you will be 10 times happier. Very happy with the experience and will be doing business here from now on.Thanks!

I cannot recommend this shop highly enough. I havent shot a bow in over 20 years but my enthusiasm for archery has been entirely rejuvenated because of Jerry. Its a gift to have someone with such knowledge and expertise guiding you. I ended up purchasing a Hoyt Charger and Hoyt Faktor and love them both.Jerry made sure they fit perfectly and were set-up to shoot properly. The environment is like a barber shop from the 60s...a wonderful community to meet other people with similar interests and share stories about target shooting and hunting.Jerrys Bait & Tackle is my favorite destination!

Fantastic shop. Went here to buy my first hunting bow and everything I needed to go with it. Jerry really took the time getting me set up and comfortable with everything and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. Customers in the shop were extremely friendly as well, and it just seemed like a great community place. Definitely stop in here for your archery and fishing needs, I guarantee you wont regret it.

I bought a new Hoyt from Jerry and what a great buying experience. He setup the bow perfectly and even tuned my shooting form on the indoor lane. I left with a fully dialed in ready to hunt bow. He really knows his stuff!

This was my time at this shop, the reviews were great so I was excited to go and see what the had to offer. At first the gentleman at the counter approached me and seemed nice. He asked me about my friends and what we liked to do, I told him they liked to hunt and I liked to fish.I was looking at reels, polls and baits when my girlfriend politely asked to use the restroom. The person there then became very rude, load, almost threatening and said there was something strange about us being there and he wanted us to leave immediately. I told him i wassent doing anything wrong, or out of the ordinary or rude. I couldnt believe how he acted towrds me and my girlfriend. He insisted we were up to no good and then kicked us out of the store. He did say that my girlfriend was going in and out of the store to much insinuating she or we were stealing witch I told him we absolutely were not .She had to run out to the car to get a pad to change cause its that time of the month.... and we get this reaction. Completely unprofessional. I cant believe this place has a person like this working for them. I feel like I wasted the trip and I hope this place straightens this out because it seemed to have good reviews and looked like a good shop. I guess customers beware and find a place that wont treat you like second class people . Its just not right and not the way to run any kind of business, he made my girlfriend cry in the car for minuets after the encounter - it was that bad! I have never been treated like that any any business ever. Im 34. I hope it was a fluke and they figure out there issues and can run a GOOD professional business because this experience we had today at this shop was unbelievable and one of the worst I have ever had.

Big fan of Jerrys Bait & Tackle. Super laid back atmosphere. I dont give a rats ass if Jerry doesnt wear pants in the store. None of my business, and the guy is a legend. You dont tell a legend when and where he should wear pants - especially in his own goddamn store. This guy once ate half of an adult capybara while it was still alive until it finally expired due to high levels of extreme bliss.

I was looking for a new hoyt bow and came across jerrys. The second I walked in I could not believe everything he had in stock. Everything was high quality. He showed me the bow I was looking for and allowed me to test fire it. After that I was sold and jerry took the time to set the bow up right then and there. Ill tell you right now he knows his stuff, I ended up splitting an arrow upstairs after he set the bow up. Outstanding customer service and I felt confident when I walked out. If you are reading this to decide if you should come in I would highly recommend it. I can tell you i will be going to this shop from now on.
