This is truly an amazing place to find very unique items and works of art celebrating the beauty of the natural world.Whether you are a science nerd (paleontologist, entomologist, herpetologist, etc.) or just someone that appreciates beauty, this store is truly a Wonder emporium. What makes it uniquely meaningful is that Jean-Michel is eager to share wonderful context and information about each specimen.

Absolute best place in SLC if youre into biology, wet/dry preservation, or just slightly morbid art.The owner both sources and makes some truly fantastic pieces, and the more affordable stuff is very reasonably priced. I got a lovely little carpenter bee for just $20, including the nice display it came with.Cant wait to come back!

Natur is great if youre looking for taxidermy, preserved insects, or stones. The butterfly and beetle collection is especially delightful, with plenty of extra pieces ready for mounting in the drawers you can lose yourself in. The owner and operator is friendly and knowledgeable, and is happy to tell you the story behind each piece, and each piece has quite a story. If youre looking for a piece to turn a room into a discussion, theres plenty of entire wall pieces. You get what you pay for though, and the quality of the pieces does not always come cheap. That said, the abalone and mineral selections are cheap options if you still want a great looking piece.

I absolutely love this place. They are the nicest people Ive ever met and the stuff they sell is just gorgeous. The gentleman who owns this place is very fun to talk to and is always happy to tell you you anything that you would like to know about the things in his gallery.

This is a lesser known spot in the Salt Lake area that everyone should absolutely take the time to check out. The first time I came I was a little hesitant about looking at taxidermy, but the work in this shop is just incredible. The owner has such a passion for it and nature and living things, he is so inspiring to talk to, I could spend an entire afternoon here.

The best place to go if you are looking for specimens, if you choose a loose specimen they will let you choose whatever frame you like and do everything for you however youd like it done if you choose to have it framed. This cabinet of curiosities is a must visit! My first visit two days before Christmas. My 15 year old daughter said she wanted something from this shop, but when I first walked in I was concerned the beautiful items would be unaffordable. I am very happy to report that there is something for every price range and even the bigger items are much more affordable than you might think when you first walk in. Every item in the shop, from the lower prices to the higher ones, have had a lot of work and effort put into them. I used Google maps to find Natur, otherwise I may have had a difficult time as Im not familiar with this area, so Id recommend using that. This is one of my rare 5 star rated places. Perfect place, perfect experience (the people there are wonderful) well deserved! Thank you!

This place is incredible. Ive never seen so many unique items anywhere. The owner is always willing to answer any questions me or my family has, he even sat down with my kids and explained how spiders molt, and let them handle some of the different creatures there. I always enjoy visiting Natur.

Such a beautiful place! Great atmosphere and the owners are more than happy to answer your questions. We got to tour the place with Jean-Michel, he told us about everything. He even took out some of the live spiders. Very reasonably priced and a great way to spend an evening.

Such a cool shop run by a smart, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful gentlemen. The variety of specimens can’t be beat! I certainly ended up walking out with a lot more than I went in for, but I certainly didn’t mind. Plan on spending as much time as you can because youll find more and more the closer you look. Tonight we went by with a group of young men from church. We were there for about 45 mins and still didn’t get to see everything. There is so much here to learn and discover. Jean-Michel and his wife Carla were so informative and helpful. I’ve never met people so genuinely happy about their business. This gallery is amazing!! There are lots of creepy dead things, so its not fot the weak hearted. The guy that runs the shop is super friendly and was willing to explain his process and show us his upcoming work.

This shop is the perfect blend of science and art. We had gone to the store with 3 young children just as the store was about to close and Jean, the owner, spent about 45mins talking to them, answering (all) their questions and sharing his genuine interest in animals with them. He allowed them to handle his pet python, encouraged them to not be afraid and to see its beauty - by the end of it, they were thrilled and proud. Thank you! The store is a hidden gem, everything is beautifully displayed... definitely worth visiting whether you are a bug/animal person or not, you find it interesting and worthwhile.

Ive been coming to natur for over 2 years now and each visit is always pleasant. They recently moved literally right next door to a bigger space and its beautiful! The owner has always been more than friendly and super helpful. Everything is well priced and absolutely stunning.

This shop is extraordinary. The owner is very enthusiastic about his art, and for very good reason. There are several different kinds of items to be purchased or commissioned from here. He has an extensive butterfly collection (and can identify any butterfly you bring in yourself). He has articulated skeletons from snakes and moles to foxes and toucans. He has several items that would seem macabre to talk about, but are very tastefully and creatively produced. There is a live fish tank, and several fossils. The artist also loves to talk about anything in his store, and is very much open to questions. My toddler also loves to come to this shop and it gives us a great way to openly talk about how death is an important part of life.

This shop is amazing. All kinds of specimens, beautiful locally made jewelry, rocks and minerals, and ways to display all of the above. The owner, Jean-Michel, is always there. He is visibly passionate about his items and is happy to show them off and tell their stories without any pressure to buy. There is even a tarantula or two that can be held, and he will instruct you on how to do so safely.

My daughter and her boyfriend come to this store all the time, and I finally was able to visit. They have a tarantula and my 7 year old is very curious about it but a bit apprehensive too. The owner was very kind and took the time to educate her a bit about it and even trusted her enough to let her hold it. But besides that, the store is beautifully put together, with all kinds of rare and amazing pieces. Now I know why this is my daughter’s favorite store.
