I went to this range for the first time during the week. It was not busy at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I received a military discount and I was surprised that their store was well stock and competitive prices. Their prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back again.

I bought a CZ P-07 from them a little over a year ago! I still love the gun and the best part was they had the best price on the gun of any place in Odessa/Midland by a large margin! Will do business with these folks again in the future!

The young man working the counter is one odd duck!!!!I pad went down halfway through the waver and he handed me a paper packet. I grabbed a pen to fill it out and he jumped all over me for “REACHING BEHIND THE COUNTER IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED”I was planing out utilizing the facility to shoot during lunch as I work 0.7 miles away.Nice facility spooky front desk help.

Usually a decent place, but I took my wife in to function check a new (to her) pistol, she was shooting and I was there to help her get oriented with it. They charged me $10 just for standing behind her in the range....I guess the almighty dollar is more important to them then ensuring safety. There are plenty of ranges in the area and they just lost a customer over $10

As long as you are shooting your own irons the place is par for the course. Renting however was a very, very poor experience, with the weapon misfiring and still being charged for the rental since you were able to fire the 10 free rounds that came with the rental, 20 dollars to fire 10 rounds is a terrible deal. I doubt I will ever go back. **edit** As the owner came on and replied, I will add in the details to the situation so that customers can make their own decisions. The rented firearm went through ten rounds plus a bit less than half of my purchased ammunition (40) for the rental (you buy their ammunition for rentals which is fair), before it began misfiring. Happened twice, and they decided to test fire, they verified it had an issue, and then began to take it apart. After perhaps 30 min, after they decided the problem was carbon built up on the carrier bolt, and an employee came in to offer to switch out to another rifle, as we were leaving in the next few minutes to get something to eat and it was nearing closing time, I declined. We finished up, I paid for everything including the rental, left the unfired ammunition with them as I have nothing chambered in it, and left my review to what I considered a very poor experience. I can very stringently say that I was not rude, as in point of fact the customer facing employees were themselves professional and polite, and I have zero doubt they were following store policy. The owner never spoke to me, though I suspect he was the gentleman that told the employee specific parts on the rifle to check for the cause of the issue. In any case, my one star review still leaves you at the 4.7 mark, and you are free to ignore my poor experience as you will, though it sounds like I would not be welcome back regardless.

Nice clean range with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We have a membership and go shoot several times a month. Their prices are very competitive and they have a great selection.

Most of the staff was friendly except for 1 young female. She was not “family friendly” at all. We came with friends to shoot, & in an effort to keep the kids out of the way we took turns sitting in the classroom. They were not being loud or unruly. She came in and informed us that to sit in there we would need to rent the classroom for $60. Seriously? There was no one else there. We paid for 4 lanes and 10 people.My family & I will not be back to the “Family” armory.

This Range has great personnel that provide helpful and knowledgeable input. The other day i went tot test fire my AR pistol and had an issue . They immediately helped to narrow down the issue and allowed me to fix at minimum cost. Thanks again.

Won’t be shooting or purchasing anything here ever again. Background check was delayed on Black Friday and when going to pick up the firearm the price wasn’t honored. Nowhere on the Black Friday ads or in the store did it say “only applies if taken home that day”, the staff didn’t say anything either when the delayed response came back immediately.I am someone that will alway try to support local business and have really enjoyed doing so in the past in many other places I’ve lived, but I can’t support places and people that are dishonorable and won’t support any type of customer service.

This place is really nice and safely managed. Everyone working here is really polite. I go mainly for the shooting range. If you dont have a gun to fire or just want to try something new, they have guns that you can rent from them to shoot at their range.

Excellent staff and facility! The staff is very helpful, encouraging, educated, passionate, and friendly. Visited this past weekend for my boyfriends birthday, and being first time shooters we were not the least bit disappointed. The owners and their staff made us feel very welcomed (unlike another range in the area) and they were knowledgeable. The instructor was very patient and encouraging coaching us through the process of shooting, and never was overbearing or negative. The facility itself is very clean, they provide a safe environment (with many safety measures), and it was great to be able to view your shots with the target retrieval equipment. Prices are reasonable as well. I definitely do not have any complaints. Although we are from Seminole we will definitely be back! Family Armory and Indoor Range has bought our business!

If you cant shoot outside then bring it inside and enjoy good people with knowledge. Its fun and safe

First indoor range experience. Well organized shop and helpful staff. Range was clean, no excessive build up of brass. I dont have any other indoor ranges experience to compare pricing with. They have a one gun per bag policy, so youll be making a couple trips to your car if you plan on shooting a variety of firearms. They have the option to purchase targets and ammo as you use the range, which is very convenient and accommodating.

One of my favorite places to shoot because lanes are clean and work as they should. Staff does a great job of providing table space and checking on things in the lanes.

I went there last week to buy parts for an AR build. Nice place, friendly staff, looked like a pretty nice range. Ive read reviews about the price being to high for range time. I am from Arizona and most indoor ranges there charge $15.00 per hour. $27.00 to shoot all day is really a deal to me. Will go back to shoot some time for sure.

Today was my first time coming in and I have to say the experience was phenomenal from start to finish. I was out and about looking at guns all day and I had just left one place that was entirely rude and unprofessional towards me before coming here. When I came in I was not only greeted, but asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I am really bad with names, but fortunately its on my receipt as Carson C. He was absolutely amazing to work with, cheerful, knowledgeable, and he showed me and my husband several hand guns, one we wanted to see and ones he thought we would like as well, all while doing my paperwork for the gun I purchased and informing me of the social media pages yall have! I actually felt like I was chatting with a long time friend the entire time and not waiting in queue with a associate that didnt want to deal with me. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase and because of Carsons positive attitude and enthusiasm I will definitely be back for my next gun purchase as well as recommending Family Armory to all my friends and family. Informative employees that are unpretentious. They are willing to let you handle all the guns you want even after you make it clear that youre not looking to buy. The indoor range is first class which matches the customer service up front. Also Ive found that if their prices dont match online gun sales (including shipping and transfer fee), they beat them.

First range that doesnt allow to pick up brass that we paid for so we can reload and save a buck. Not a fan. Ill take a empty dirt pit any day. And take my sweet time police calling my own brass.

Im giving 5 star price is better than most and its a good place to shoot my new pistol as I rented it first then purchased. Rental was well priced and staff was quite friendly and could tell what i was interesred in right away with handguns.

It sucks, my friends recomended the place, but I went in b.c. and tried to rent a gun, and they said, they dont rent them to walk ins, because there have been too many accidents, so, whats the point of renting your hand guns???

Great experience at this armory, my GF and I went to plink a few rounds...they wont let you shoot metal based ammo, but they sell ammo that is allowed and it is comparable to Academies ammo in price...so if you are thinking of grabbing ammo to take with you Id suggest you just buy it there if you are in doubt...maybe spend your money on targets instead...

I came here quite a bit and really enjoyed it. Be warned you cant draw from a holster, so you will still have to find another range to actually practice. Which is unfortunate because everything else from the rentals, to the price of range time, to the people is great.

Not sure what to rate the place really. Gave it three stars because the place looks nice and the lady I talked to was nice, but for some reason they wont rent a firearm to you if you havent brought one. I wanted to shoot an FNX-45 because I was interested in buying one. The only firearm I own is back home, 600 miles away. Soooo...when I finally do get to spend some time with one, if I like it, I wont be buying there. Im sure there is a good reason for that rental policy. I would hope. I in turn, have a good reason for my buying policy.Update: I just left Tejas. They have the same policy due to gun range suicides. Nice of them to explain it to me. They also offered to rent me a rifle and then a pistol. I was actually thinking about trying a rifle out anyway, and that would have given me a good excuse. Would have been nice to see the same effort from Family Armory instead of just letting me walk out the door. In the end, Tejas didnt have an FNX-45 or an HK USP 45, so it would have been a waste of my time and money.Dropping from three to two stars for effort.

Bought a gun and ammo here recently. I asked if I could shoot for free since I had just spent over $900. They said no because they were just starting out and needed the money I guess? It was middle of the week during the middle of the day and only one other lane was occupied. So it was $27 for me on the lane and then they charged me another $10 to have a second person join me. Not very customer friendly...So you would give a discount if the gun were purchased at the same time?(This post was written on a friends accounts, therefore its not under the purchaser. But the response proves they are not customer service oriented as obviously someone was disappointed and they dont try to reconcile it.)
