Its worth watching a movie in the planetarium as well as the planet sphere. It has a canvas collection that is worth looking at, both inside the mansion as well as the annex building that currently has modern art.

The farmers market is here every Saturday for the summer. What a find. Buy some homemade watermelon jam, some fresh bread, and sit under a shady tree outside the beautiful building to eat it! What more can one need Saturday morning. Oh yeah, and theres an entire museum/planetarium here too.

A lot of the museum was closed for some reason or another. There was barely anything to do at the childrens museum since the second floor was closed. Also the restrooms were in awful condition. We didnt get to see hardly any of the art museum because they were decorating for Christmas...seems like something they could do after hours. The planetarium showing was informative and enjoyable. The grounds were pretty.

Art museum is really nice always something new. Children’s Museum is in some serious need of updating and cleaning and these “renovations” need to be starting soon or they just need to reopen the upstairs children’s area. The planetarium is small and needs some fixes but still nice to visit.

Always an interesting display happening. We love going to Rein Beer around the holidays and the farmers market in the spring and summer. Have yet to try the outdoor concerts but that is on the to-do list. The lawn is gorgeously landscaped and has statues. Its a beautiful place to be surrounded by greenery.

Was at the farmers market, and needed to use the bathroom quite badly. $5 to enter the museum? Sounds like a deal for a real potty... my girlfriend having eyed the ports john and found it lacking. The $5 gets you access to a very nice bathroom and all 3 buildings, the museum, kids museum and planetarium. The museum had the usual ironic art, but also had some amazing native American displays and very nice bathrooms. The only cool display in the planetarium was about how much a bottle of water would weight on each planet. The rest reminded me of 1990 traveling science displays. We didnt get to the kids museum. Did I mention the bathrooms where nice?

Great place for family fun or to go with a group. Lots of activities for kids of all ages. My 3 year old daughter loved the play areas, my 7year old son liked the sound wall and planetarium, and there was an area for babies. The art museum has a artist on display who painted a portrait of Santa every year since 1972 and it was great to see it throughout the years. The staff was very friendly and the buildings clean.

I have loved this place over 20 years now, but recently disappointed when I took my grandchildren to the children’s museum, and got to only see half the museum for the same full price. The upstairs part was all closed up. I sure hope there are plans to re-open, that has remained my kids favorite part of the museum, and was hoping to introduce the grandkids to it.

The newly remodeled art gallery is really impressive. It houses some very unique and beautiful pieces. I was especially interested by the horizon scape of which only a small 8-foot section of the whole 75 is on display.Theres also a fun kids museum with indoor mini-golf and lots of fun play rooms like a pretend grocery store and a be-the-weather-forecaster room. Great for younger kids! Also on the grounds is a Planetarium with a 3D projector. My kids went to a 3D showing and cant stop talking about it.My wife joined as a member so we can go anytime, other wise the admission is very reasonable. All three attractions are covered in the price:$5 for adults and young adults age 12 and above$3 for children ages 3 to 11, seniors over the age of 65 and active military personnelChildren ages 2 and under are free
