This club was a fun place to play. I never thought I would find my beautiful friends right here. Their nice drinks were very affordable. The staff who accommodates us were very friendly, polite, and respectful. No hidden charges compare to other clubs. I will definitely be going to visit this place again for sure.

Ive frequented Rye off and on for years(many years) and over this time period, I can honestly say I now have a new found appreciation of this lounge spot in the Tenderloin. The layout and decor looks mostly the same. How can you miss the smokers cage facing Geary St?

Cool cocktail bar here. My favorite drink is the La Lambada. Place can get crowded, so try to grab bar seats when it opens. Bartenders here are good, one gave me a menu right away when I got to the bar, even when it was super crowded.

Food was amazing and the atmosphere was great! Awesome DJ, entertainment, Cabaret, bottle service, and so much more. Red carpet outside with step and repeat as well as a swing for photo moments. Service was also great with friendly attentive staff. Turns into a club around midnight.

Had an absolute blast at this place last night. Was there between 10:30 and 1:30 am and what started out as a good dinner with exotic food in a lively lounge ambiance quickly turned into a dinner with a show turned full on club. The place was not super packed but crowded enough to create a comfortable.club vibe. Highly recommended!!

Good drinks great food! I had some kind of raspberry beer?? Weird but delightful. Ive been here a few times and the service is nice and the food is mouthwatering! The grits are delicious and soooooo cheesy and good! The Mac and cheese was really really deluxe. I loved it. I am going back very very soon. Oh! I am IN LOVE with this venue. I reserved for this past Saturday and had the best time with my husband. From the music, to the performances and the over all service was so genuine! The FOOD!!! Amazing menu. We were planning on going somewhere else after but from dinner it transitioned to a club and thanks to our server Helen we ended up being here for over 3 hours! Had the best time here

The best cocktail experience Ive ever had. Definitely sit at the Bar, and let the bartender take you though the theme.Some reviews complain about wait without realizing this is a craft cocktail bar, not someone just pouring out drinks.

Absolutely beautiful venue. The employees are beyond nice, ESPECIALLY the bartenders. We went pretty early to have a drink. No snooty comments when they let us in. We did not have a reservation. Just sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere for a bit. I think many Miami clubs can learn from this establishment. Very professional. Very accommodating. They treat women will respect, big + in the Miami area. And for the people commenting on the prices, this is a high end night club. You pay for the experience. And the experience is definitely worth it. :)

I love love love this place!!! Music, food, show its amazing!!!!!! I have been there 3 times and i have had a blast!!!!Make sure to reserve a table before if you want to eat. Their steaks are delicious as well as their truffled mac and cheese. The pasdionate drink its so yummy. If you go there I am sure you will have a great time.

Very cool place as long as you’re open minded. The music is about the loudest any music will ever be while you eat. The night starts out slow but everyone is dancing and out of their seats as the night progresses. Multiple acts, from an awesome singer, to dancers, to fire eaters.Food was good. Scene was cool. I don’t know if I would go back again but it is certainly a worthwhile experience. Also, manager Jonathan was a cool guy.

Had a great time! Wonderful, friendly staff that is all about guests having a blast of a night. Stefan took care of us the entire time and he couldnt be more welcoming and attentive. The Omakase menu we ordered was phenomenal - included so much delicious food, we were struggling to finish it and definitely lost that battle, having tried every dish as a consolation prize. Drinks were yummy and well crafted. Good time was there for all, including the staff and performers, which definitely added to the vibe and atmosphere overall

I went for my birthday and the entire experience was great. The drinks were tasty and the food was delicious, my fiancé had the pineapple salmon and I had the filet Mignon, both were cooked well with lots of flavor. The performances were great and as it gets later in the night the restaurant turns into a club. Really fun experience for my birthday celebration, will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with El Tucan. The place itself was beautiful, I loved the digital screens throughout the restaurant that had moving images, the colors were amazing. So we did the menu where you pay $45 for an appetizer, entree and dessert. The pork belly in a steamed bun was delicious, but I only got one so it was like a tease. I got the skirt steak which tasted like it had no seasoning, it was a small piece and I got no sides...with my entree (it did come with a small bowl of salsa which made the steak taste better, but that’s not a side)! Seriously? For dessert I got the chocolate cake and ice cream, also very small. The cake was very good but the ice cream was terrible. Good thing I ate a small meal before going or I would have still been hungry. The drinks were not so great either. They did bring out sparklers for my friends birthday which was cool. The music was good, not too loud which I hate. You only have 2 hours at your table and then you have to “move to the bar” although it was packed so we ended up leaving. Also they do not split checks which made everything super confusing and complicated. All in all I would not come here again or recommend to someone else.

This place is AMAZING. Dinner like no other!! It’s a party. Amazing ambiance people are nice. If I could give 7 stars I would! They took care of me and my party of 14 last weekend and it was a blast

Absolutely loved my experience at El Tucan. Had my birthday dinner here on a Wednesday. Ladies drank free rose all night at the bar. We made reservations at 9:30pm so we could catch the show at 10:30pm. The atmosphere was great, the party really picks up by 11pm. Great dancers, excellent DJ, and a fantastic singer. Service was excellent and fast as well. The food was simply amazing. Some of the best octopus I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious. Waiter brought out a dessert platter for my birthday that was to die for and complete with sparklers. We were all truly impressed and I will definitely recommend this place to anyone celebrating a special event or just looking for a dinner party in Miami. Yes, it is expensive but that is expected in Miami. The food was priced like any restaurant here but the drinks did seem a bit outrageous at $25 for a simple gin and tonic. Overall though it was truly a wonderful experience and I can not wait to go back!

They sell the concept of a show with dancers etc however, there is no show anymore! It is a beautiful restaurant as many others are in the city. I selected this place to celebrate my birthday but I wish they were honest and told me that they changed and removed the show.

Ridiculously expensive place for what they offer. $17 per watery drinks, food was tasty but way too expensive. $18 for 2 very small tacos. This is not a rooftop location with amazing views or next to the bay. Just a regular restaurant in downtown.

We went to El Tucán for the show. It is a dinner club place. We enjoyed the Miami Spice menu which was excellent and affordable. The show was outstanding and the music afterwards rocked. I highly recommend this place for a unique night out experience. Just beware of the drink prices. I never figured out what the best priced drink would be. I was drinking gin and tonic at $21 a glass.

Ambiance was great. Valet parking was affordable ($16). Food was good, service was great. I was expecting a little more of the show but it was probably just my expectations so dont expect much of it. I also felt that the place was very small but i suppose it was also perception. It was an overall good experience.

Honestly I would rate it 0 stars! Management (Alex) was incredibly ununderstanding and continuously looking to make a profit!Disappointing.

Saturday 2/22/20 Dinner & show was horrible. Show was 1 girl on swing & music was 80s. Big fat zero. Arranged for a bday and the music was through back to 80s. The food is mediocre & charge you $$$-$$$$. Later, the evening was supposed to follow with performers. One girl right above us hanging from the ceiling & doing acrobatics. That was it. As I was leaving with our group we walked towards another roomwhere all the fun was happening. What a waste of time & money.Dont waste your time & celebrate or enjoy elsewhere.

Fun, colorful and very unique. The food was great and then it turned into a party! Went on a Friday night with a reservation, which Id suggest getting. Gratuity is included at 18%. Extensive list of spirits and I tried the lychee martini a friend ordered. Really delicious.

It was fun experience. Burlesque show was amazing and dramatic. The place is like an old style mini theater with balcony. Its like being transported to the oldies. We really enjoy our time.

We made a reservation two weeks in advance to celebrate my birthday. The place was full and when it was time to seat us at the table, the hostess offered the table next to the main entrance. There were a lot of people just standing next to it waiting to be seated and the stage was really far away. When we asked for another table because we could not see the show, the hostess told us that they dont have a show anymore, and that if we wanted another table the wait was two hours! She was not nice and nobody else seemed to care to help us. We left the restaurant a few minutes later very very disappointed.

Start off the evening with an exquisite dinner. Presentation and service is impressive. A show with roaring 20s style singers walking down the isles. The music from the visible DJ slowly transitions from lounge style to a nightclub scene. Everyone gets up and dances all around the club until your feet bleed.

Nice place, but really expensive. Two vodkas $36 + Redbull $7 + $11 in taxes and gratuity.I usually do not complain about prices but having been in so many top of the notch places in Europe Ive never paid so much money for two Vodkas with Redbull.

I like this place, though you should expect to spend a bit more than you do on your average restaurant and/or night club. Not as bad as LIV.

This place is alright. Honestly the food was nothing out of this world. Drink prices are pretty high, $9 for a beer and $22+ for a cocktail. Wouldnt come back here tbh, would rather spend half the amount elsewhere.

Terrible. I went to have a drink on my boyfriends birthday Friday night around 9:45 PM. There was no line and pretty early for Miami. I was wearing an off the shoulder red dress and nice sandals. My boyfriend was wearing a button down. I wasn’t allowed in because I was wearing flats. They told me at the door that girls are only allowed in with heels.Discrimination 100%

So went here on Friday night with my girlfriend . We had a special 90$ off our tab offer from Groupon . Let me say right of the bat this place is very expensive for no reason . The place itself is very cool beautiful set and decorations . It’s more of a club than anything tho . They sat us close to the dj booth so I could not hear my date at all :( we moved seats to an upstairs seating area which was a very cool experience and the music was at a good level here . Food was not worth it at all so please eat before coming lol spent 25$ on 2 mini 3 inch burgers that where nothing special:( the drinks where expensive but not crazy around 15-16$ . Was a cool night but I wanted to eat and this sucks as a restaurant kinda cool as a bar / club the vibe here is 30+ crowd btw .

A must stop place when visiting Miami !!!! I do recommend making reservations way in advance the atmosphere is very upbeat the service is second to none. The waiters are very attentive our glasses were never empty our meal was fantastic from start to finish. Once people start finishing their meals/dinners the place start to transform into a night club and thats when the fun really begins. We were even given free shots. I plan on coming back but this time Im bringing a couple friends . Thanks El Tucan for a a great time.

This place is very pretty and the service is great. However, it is extremely over priced. The plates are tiny yet very expensive. The entertainment does not merit these prices. We are a couple and spent 300 for some tapas and a few drinks. All we saw was a couple of dancers and a singer. Folks, in Miami it is not hard to find this type of venue at much more decent prices. Want to point out that the place just changed a month ago. The good reviews are from before when it used to be a real dinner show and you would actually get a lot of entertainment for a set price. Now it’s all a la carte menu and all you get is a couple of dancers which you can see at any nightclub, one lady who sang one song, and the waiters with flicking lights getting the people to dance. If they lower their prices a bit, the concept may work.

We were there last night and had a horrible experience. The waiter never brought water to the table, food is extremely overpriced (micro plates). We were told that the bill could not be splitted and after 4 couples left and paid their bills, the birthday person was given a $1,600 bill with a ton of stuff he had not ordered. They were uncompromising! We were extremely unsatisfied with the service and disorganization. Nice atmosphere though, but horrible service.

If you are looking to go out with your friends and have a good time, this is the worst place in Miami to be honest.

This place is a joke! We went there last weekend for a friends birthday. They offered a Miami spice menu ($39 PP) which our group decide to choose as our meal. As an appetizer they offered a tuna roll. The portion was four, I repeat, four little pieces of the tuna roll which I had to wait 5 minutes to get the soy sauce. As a main dish they offered a fillet mignon. I promise you it had to be a 3 ounce portion with no side dish. We had to pay extra ($11) for fries. The steak was over cooked and almost cold. You could tell that the food had been standing for a while. Finally dessert was a cheesecake which was the smallest portion I have ever seen. Service was below average. This is by far the worst Miami Spice menu I have ever had in several years/summers. It’s insulting that a restaurant thinks this is reasonable. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are plenty of better places In Brickell and SOBE where for the same price you will eat much better

Booked a table well I advance only to be told when we showed up that it was a private event, we where celebrating my wife’s birthday so a very special occasion, anyway we could not get our table, we where offered to their sister restaurant next doors that is not it interesting, they gave gave us completely flat bubbly that was way off and impossible to drink, food was poor, service bad. We Ordered gin and tonic and god gin with tab water at best, total disappointment for a-z, never going agains !

The worst experience Ive had in restaurants in miami, I do not recommend the small place with a nice theme, the lousy service 25 min waiting for at least a glass of water to welcome, Im celebrating my anniversary I have no problem paying the ticket that is, we go for the second fault, the waiter sits next to me to take the order seems to me a lack of respect counting that it is an exclusive place but ok, I saw him friendly do not pay attention. the bad cocktails, the good appetizer of 10 I give a 7 compared to other Miami restaurants of good prestige and similar cost, finally I ask for a glass of wine as my food arrives brings me the wine in a totally wet cup falling literally the drops of water, not enough to take the picture because when making the claim the waiter took the cup, but the manager knew the situation and saw what happened. At the end the waiter invited my husband to fight over his annoyance of having called the manager. Amazing a recognized place in Miami will present such a show..I would never go back to that place, so they would give me food, I work in a well-known hotel chain and I would assure myself that my clients would not recommend El Tucán

Raised and have lived in Miami for over 40 years now, and this was a completely different experience from everything else that’s currently out there. You get dinner, a show, and a nightclub all in one. Parts of the evening almost felt like family. Loved Tito El Bonito, and the performances by Lady Lauren. Oh dear God, if you can sing Whitney Houston and Celine Dion songs that way...you’re simply amazing!! Way to go Lady Lauren!The entire cast was super down to Earth, they even snapped a photo with us. Thought that was a nice touch. Overall, our group truly enjoyed this experience. Great place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and divorces. Highly recommended—bring your wallet, gotta make sure we pay the performers!

Ever curious about what night clubs in Cuba were like in the 50s? Its expensive but the show they put on is full energy and intimate with the audience. Its crowded and noisy but theyre expanding. Not everything is perfect but if youre in Miami dont pass this by.

The entertainment is great, but the welcome/door staff there are rude and make you feel as if they are doing you a favor by seating you. The shows are good, the DJ is good.... but be careful with the stuff they charge you, we were 11 people and they charged 12 plates, also they charge us around 6 or 8 random drinks that nobody ordered. So we underlined the stuff we didn’t order but the server just threw away that bill and give us a new one pretty different (but with a similar amount). At the end we just paid the whole bill, we talked with the manager he was kind of nice but he didn’t change anything.As much as I hate to say it, I wouldn’t recommend this place

Food was also overpriced for what it was as well. Go here if you hate yourself and want to waste your time, money, and sanity. On top of the whole water dilemma, they kept trying to give us food we never ordered to add on to the bill if someone accepted it. Shady business practices, bogus prices, and mediocre attitudes/service.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!The host said the F word so many times it was nasty and would walk around rubbing peoples heads and shoulders.. not funny at all. The food was good but small portions. The staff is extremely RUDE from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Our waitress charged us over $100 for water and then lied to the manager saying that one person in the table asked for bottled water so she decided to give the entire table bottled water. She didnt even open the water in front of us so no one had any idea it was Evian bottled water until she handed the bill. In addition, she did not charge people the correct amount including tax & automatic 20% gratuity and tried to charge the last couple (that only had water) $600! Then when we spoke to the manager and the waitress said we had to understand her side?! I have never written a bad review but I assume these people are stealing money from others who do not even look at their bills. Now I notice they also charged my card incorrectly.

El Tucan, an enjoyable cabaret in the heart of Miami, a display of a variety of performances with the unique Miami’s flavour that will transport you to places rarely seems nowadays.It will be without doubt or risk a show that you must attempt and have a wonderful time.A great clamorous ambiance of a true Cabaret in Miami, an experience that you cannot missed.

If you want to be judged by the bouncers and bartenders feel free to try here. The bouncer and bartender kept rudely commenting about me and my friends while we were getting ready to leave. I didn’t realize being a rude person was a key to successful hospitality. I will never return and will make sure my friends do not come around either.

Nothing special just overpriced food and drinks

I went for my friends dinner party and we were all disappointed by this place. The food is highly overpriced, considering their plates are tiny and mediocre. The dinner party stated it would have special performances all night but there was only one short performance and not all that special. Especially considering we paid for dinner and a table yet didnt have a good view due to it being surrounded by people who were standing at the bar for happy hour. The music was a little off and did not flow, itd go from a niki beach vibe to Michael Jackson and Phill Collins. There would be moments where the music got louder and the lights would turn low, but no performance or entertainment came of it. There were some hype men attempting to get the crowd going by clapping or flashing lights but it always failed. So we were basically just having dinner with some really loud, bad music. Lastly and cherry on top, we had a problem with the bill at the end of the night. Our table consisted of various groups, my intimate group paid all on one card (youre only allowed 5 cards per bill), yet it seems the other group did not include their taxes and there was a remaining balance. The waitress came directly to my group stating there was a balance and I had to pay. When I asked her what the remaining balance was for as well as explained we already did the math and paid she simply stated well I dont know but someone has to pay, which is such a poorly way to handle this. She never confirmed with the other group regarding their payments, as I had suggested, and she called the manager and he agressively threatened to call the cops on us. It was such a terrible way to end the birthday that we ended up having to pay since the other group left before us. But never again.

Horrible experience. The gentleman presenting the show, known as the Host, was using the F word and other bad words every minute. It made me very uncomfortable as u had invited a group of distinguished guests friends. He was obscene. The food was fair for whats expected in a cabaret setting, the service was not good. The Spanish singers were fabulous l, the lady with the angelical voice was phenomenal, and the band was good. Having that man presenting the different scenes with bad words was horrendous. I felt very awkward and disappointed. Its truly a shame as it could be a different and new place that Miami didnt have. We do not plan to attend again unless theres a real and adequate host.

NO Air Conditioning!!! Cool concept but it was over 90 degrees inside. I cant see the show through all the sweat gushing from my face. When I asked why it was so hot in here nobody had a single clue. Was the AC broken? Do the French just love it hot inside? I dont know and no one told me but I did see other reviews from months ago where people stated they had no A/C on.. its a pricey place and i wouldve expected some sort of discount or a comped cold soda or anything at all even an answer to why it was as hot as a desert in here. I would call ahead and ask if the air conditioning will be running or not before making reservations. I really wouldve liked to given El Tucan a good review but it was just over the top boiling hot in there to be comfortable for dinner. Miami + No AC =No Buano!

The show was pretty good and the food was decent, but my chair was taken away partway through (I guess to make room for people to dance?), along with my purse that was on it - major panic for someone visiting Miami and needing ID to fly home. Also, server brought dessert super late and never asked if we wanted more drinks.

CHECK YOUR BILL TWICE! We were charged double for the entire table! And it happened to another table close to us as well! Also, we had 10:15pm dinner reservations but we were seated over an hour late which meant dinner at midnight (no apologies from anybody other than to say the previous show started late). We think they just want to force you to stay an extra hour drinking the $20 drinks at the bar. Food is mediocre and service is TERRIBLE. The show was ok but definitely not worth putting up with everything else.
