What an incredible place to go. Meeting survivors and hearing their story with all their pride is something of a modern marvel. Theres very few historians living the truth and willing to share. I was very thanking for the opportunity.
Well Worth The Visit. These amazing Cuban patriots from all walks of life and races did not just let Communism take over their country. They fought it with everything they had. Dont let the fences stop you, the museum is in the process of being renovated... go inside and your guide may be one of the men who actually took part in the Bay of Pigs Invasion!
I got a tour from one of the few living survivors. Thanks sir.
Living History! Bay of Pigs Museum and Library in Miami.Visited with men that were fighters and captured there in 1961.Mother of the man in the white shirt negotiated directly with Castro to allow thousands of family members of fighters to also depart to USA.Living history!
The Bay of Pigs museum was an incredible experience. We had several hours after our cruise and before our flight, so we checked it out. Saddled with all of our luggage, we were greeted by our tour guide, who invited us to leave our bags in the lobby. This is a free museum of Bay of Pigs artifacts, proclamations and pictures. Our experience was led by one of the soldiers who lived it and then survived as a POW for 2+ years, in Cuba, after the invasion… very moving. The stories were riveting and our time there was well worth the trip into Little Havana. As we said good bye, we were invited back anytime, because, “we are all now friends for life.” Please check it out- it is so special... you wont find this history anywhere else.
The fight never ends until Cuba is free
My brother is a veteran of the Brigade, he was a pilot, that was ordered not to fly back to Cuba, he lives to see Cuba free, and is dedicated to the museum. Very proud of all the men that sacrifice their lives to free our country, to be treason by John F Kennedy. The ones that died, the ones that are still alive, and their families will never forget
The guide was a prisoner during the invasion. Great and so interesting.
A very interesting place to visit if your into US/Cuban history.
A great place to visit and see a plethora of heros depicted on the wall. I am the son of a hero that went on a mission to free cuba on April 17, 1961
There was no one who greeted me. I walked the museum by myself with a cuban guy talking to two tourists about a conspiracy theory about the Bay of pigs. I learned nothing from the museum as I dont read Spanish.
Nice
