Its a nice garden to take kids, or spend a morning with a friend. Its hot during summer, spring and late fall is the best time to visit. Cant say anything bad, but Huntington and LA arboretum beat this place.
Was expecting a more diverse exhibit. The entire museum was focused on Celia Cruz. Understand she was influential but have to imagine there were more folks in the Cuban exile community. Even a small permanent exhibit about the overall community would have been nice. Was hoping to get a broader perspective about the diaspora and ended up in a (very nice) niche music hall of fame.
They have the Celia Cruz exhibit on until September 30th 2019. My mom really enjoyed it. If your mom was growing up in that era then I highly recommend you take her there. It will be worth it.
I came to this museum to see the Celia Cruz exhibition ‘Forever Celia’. It’s a small place and the Celia stuff takes everything they have. However, I found everything great. Very well arranged. Kudos to the executor for the care of detail and all the information he could gather. You can spend hours listening to every audio/video file, reading or just being amazed with all the things that belonged to that great woman. There’s a small room with an exhibit from a photographer that worked with Celia for several years and the quotes are very moving. I you loved the music and life of Celia Cruz, this is a must see. Everything else on this museum was very neat but I found disappointing that I had to run to an ATM because they only took cash for the admission. Also, I thought that this museum was included in the ‘Museums on Us’ from Bank of America but the receptionist told us otherwise.
About time we have a place to showcase our journey in this hospitable country! Its a start. The Celia Cruz exhibit was wonderful. Looking forward to future exhibitions
Nice layout, lighting and spaces... parking is also right next to the building.
Just called the museum after 3 weeks since the Celia Cruz documentary was not playing due to technical issues, today they tell me that there are no videos playing. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and sarcastic and totally unprofessional! I hate to give it this rating because it is truly an excellent exhibition but the staff is the exact opposite and should be ashamed to be representing such a legacy
First time here and wow loved it! Cozy nice cultural
Nice place ti learn from Cuban history
What a shame that this marvelous building houses such a colorless collection. This is what happens when art is politicized and an institution only represents what is comfortable to a minority of its constituency. A tragedy that the Cuban exile community simply won’t unite and that exhibitions have been relegated to oversimplifications and representations of things long past.
Try no to miss the Celia Cruzs exhibit. Very well put together and very welcoming staff.
The Celia Cruz exhibit was amazing!
What we saw was good, but between us buying tickets and spending 10 minutes there, they closed the museum during normal hours. Dont sell us tickets and then close everything.
They have a great building with room to improve on, but the exhibition was rather small and limited to Celia Cruz. I feel like there could have been more permanent exhibits discussing the diaspora.
It was a beautiful experience to get to know a part of the Cuban culture via Celia Cruz!
Entertaining bit of Cubanismo, celia Cruz exhbit was wonderful

Went to see Celia Cruz exhibit
This is a privately owned museum with many pre Castro artefacts. Some of the items are: Cuban Fire-fighter, and police uniforms and equipment, Tropicana dish and silver ware, silver from a sunken Spanish ship, and one of Capa Blankas chess medallions. This museum aslo has a Cuban stamp collection dealer.
This place sucks real bad and their shows, displays along with the service is lame .
