Okay so, I have seen many reviews saying this place is terrible but let me give you my honest experience. I go to the ice arena to take my skating lessons and to practice. If you usually go on the week and mostly days like Mon-Wed, and early like from 1-3pm, then the rink will be empty, the ice will be smooth and clean, and it will be a good experience! Now if you go on days like the weekend, and times like 6pm to 11pm, then ofc the rink will be messy and crowded. People go skating on the weekends and there will totally be more people in the ice, which will make it melt faster. There are teenagers that they are a bit “pro” but they go way too fast and are not careful with other people around. That is the only thing I don’t like about the weekends. Now staff, some people are very nice and will take the time to listen to you and help you, my ice skating teacher is very nice and teaches in a very creative way! But the staff like on the place where you get the rental skates and the people that make sure everyone is okay on the ice are a little bit distracted and not focused on their work. Sometimes they are very active and if you fall they come to you and help you back up, other times, they are just in their phones, but it is understandable because they are teens and well they get bored. What I love about this arena is that it has its own store that you can buy EVERYTHING you need for becoming a figure skater. They also offer off ice lessons which I think is really good too! You can also take private lessons and you learn a lot in the classes. I love the skating rink and I don’t think it’s in a bad state. The only places I think they should fix would be the bathroom and the arcade. But the rink itself it’s good. The skates are a little bit worn out but that is because they have been used a lot and skates are very expensive!!! I love this skating rink and I hope this helps you guy with knowing how this rink is like and if it would be a good fit for you!

Awesome place to go with the family! They have great pricing and they are not that busy during the day even with all the summer camps that go. I highly recommend bringing a long pair of socks because the skates cut into you a bit but other that that its a joy!

It wasnt as cold as I remember it being, and the ice was a bit wet. I bring earplugs with me because the music is a bit too loud for my taste. But other than that a enjoyable time.

So much for keeping us safe! Came here last week and it was perfect = everyone wore masks and it was at half capacity. This time, people just didnt care and either didnt wear them or wore them incorrectly. Only so much security guards could do. If people cant abide by the rules, they should not be allowed in.

Super great! First time here and my kids and their friends have a good time. The employees are friendly and attentive. The price is good. It clean and nice environment. I recommend this place. Very good! Thanks!

My son just was at this place at the time I’m writing this review (10/10/2020 at 6:23 PM) he tried to buy chicken nuggets and water with my debit card and the cashier tried to charge a transaction for $1,000 dollars. Be very careful. I’m reporting this place immediately.

We enjoy visiting Kendall Ice Arena. If we are around the area my son DJ will ask to stop by like on this day. However, he loves ice skating and has tried it.

Weve been to a few birthday parties here - considering its the only ice skating rink within 30-45 minutes of us, you take what you can get! The most recent party had a class where they teach the kids to skate which was a nice touch because after about 15 minutes on the ice with a child under 6 who looks like a drunken sailor moving across the ice youre back starts to hurt. A lot. I wish they would have those little walkers for the ice that other ice rinks have. That would make the experience a lot better. Also, I dont know if I was starving or if they have the best little cuban sandwiches ever. Ill report back after the next back breaking birthday party.

I never even knew this arena was here! My wife and kids had a good time, but I cant say the same for the staff that seemed to be having a bad day so as a result they had a bit of a nasty attitude and were unprofessional. Nonetheless, I did my best to enjoy my time here with the family. Hope the service improves soon.

The place was big and not very friendly. It needs remodeling and a new look. My kids loved skating and the prices were very responsible.

My daughter loves ice skating. They offer a great learn to skate program with affordable group lessons. The rental skates are rental skates. Lol. My daughter enjoyed going so often I ended up buying her a pair of her own skates. Be sure to wear long socks so the skates don’t bother your calves. Gloves are a must! The ice is cold! Don’t worry, there’s a store inside that sells both socks and gloves for a reasonable price. The place is kept clean and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Great place for birthday parties! They also have an affordable summer camp program. A small snack bar serves French fries, hot chocolate, fried dough & more. There are vending machines as well for sodas, water, Gatorade and ice cream.

We were debating between this rink and the other!! :) but overall, we had an amazing time for my Daughter’s 6th Tinkerbell Birthday Party! We got there and everything was already set up. The food was prompt which was perfect timing, while guest wait for 30 minutes to get back on the Ice. I did not regret my decision on the Ice Skating Coach either, She did such an amazing job! All of the kids were attentive towards her, and they had so much fun. The host was great as well. Unforgettable evening! :) All the best.

I had loads of fun and at only 12$ i would recommend as a great place for a family day or a date

I did not know how to skate the whole time I need someone to teach me I went on Friday with my sister and friend and couldn’t skate so I had to wait and then give it another try and at the last moment I got the hand of it but like kept falling and we left we enjoyed it probably gonna come often

It’s a great place to go meet up with friends. It’s a really fun place to be with your friends & family. There’s a shop inside the skating place and inside the shop you can buy figure skates or hockey skates and They also sell Chocolate,candy, and skating necklaces and etc right inside the shop. There’s also an arcade, it’s very fun to play at the machines there. The people the work there are great. They’re very nice and help you if you fall,etc. Going Ice skating at kendal is super fun.

Love this place

I use to come as a kid and hangout with friends and family. I recently paid them a visit after more than 7 years for my little cousins birthday party. I definitely left leaving a little underwhelmed with my experience here. If feels as time has just stopped here and they havent bother renovating or updating. The concession stand was not too bad, but the bathrooms looked and were dirty and messy. Also, lets not get started with the ice skates, they need to seriously change those out. They are not get to skate in and they also have a very bad smell to them.What i thought was the worst part about my experience here was the staff in charged to watch the kids on the ice. They were either on their phone not paying attention or skating around with the other staff members. When a child would fall, they didnt really hesitate to go check on them or see if they were ok. I went with my nephew and my sisters and they were learning to skate and they fell a couple of times and not once did they come to check on us. I feel that its also because the staff is very young. Most seem like they are about 16 years old. I definitely dont recommend taking little children unless an adult that knows how to skate goes along, because your child can get seriously injured.

Comparing the place to Pines Ice Arena, people arent aloud to wait around while the sessions are changing, and they make you repay your entrance fee! If you have the choice between Kendall and Pines, go to Pines Ice Arena! They wont shove you out the door tor epay ur entrance fee!

Very amazing and fun place to go to with friends. One problem I had was about the ice skates they lend you after you pay for them. Once when I borrowed a pair they were complicated and the tongue of the shoe was stuck and ripped. But over all the food is great and the music is family friendly.

Poor staff are rude unhelpful and heres the best part they have cockroaches

Took my daughter today this place is awful, there are kids boy & girls around 13 to 15yrs old cornered by the benches smoking weed & the staff did nothing about it. Yet witnessed how a male staff harrased & even kicked out a young man that seemed to be with his girlfriend doing nothing. They do not attend to skaters who fall, nor kick out all these kids using drugs on the benches, from what i experienced these staff members ignore the real need & use their power to embarrase some skaters to the point of even taking them out. Very disappointed

Honestly this place can be really dangerous some people zoom in and out of crowds at a ridiculous speed. I got hit so hard I now have six stitches in my chin. The management takes no responsibility for accidents and dont care enough to at least make it a little safer by separating those who are really good and the beginners. If you want to go know that youre taking a chance that you could be injured.

Little bit of mixed feelings about this place. The staff seemed friendly enough but the place is in some bad shape. No rails and the ice is always melting even right after resurfacing. Also, they let people weave in and out at crazy speeds and dont say anything. I picked up my son to take him off the ice and an employee came skating up to me instantly to tell me its not allowed. But someone going fast with headphones on bumping into people is no problem?? Also, the arcade area is in ruins yet cost $1 per game.

Bad experience the ice wasn’t so good as it was supposed to be..I lost grip because of a ice chip.. broke my ankle how dangerous is that.I saw a lot of people getting hurts mostly children and some adult..

This place is awesome. The first time you touch the ice its scary, but if you dont hold on to the wall the whole time and dont be scared, you learn fast. I was one of those people that hold on to the wall all the time but when I found out that falling doesnt hurt, I went to the middle not knowing how to skate good, and like I said, you learn fast. Now, the food is well priced, but the only thing you can buy with a dollar is a soda, so bring a dollar and a quarter or two . I just cant stop thinking about how fun this place is, yesterday was my second Sunday there. I plan to go Sunday after church.

Bad customer service. Bad ice.they dont give the ice time to form after cleaning it.the rental skates are painful to use and wet from the last person to use them. They really need to do some restaffing.if you still plan on going the early on the week days are alittle better.

I was there for a learn to play session. The coach was absolutely fabulous wth the kids. Several parents said they love him for how he teaches their children.

This place is TERRIBLE! FOOD WAS TERRIBLE, THE STAFF WERE NOT PREPARED AT ALL, TOOK FORVER TO GET THE ORDER! It was my first time coming there and I did not like it AT ALL!

I read most of the reviews, i do not know why people say ice is hard or that bathroom is not clean, I go more then 3 times a week to learn on my own to skate and i have never encountered any issues, the staff is very helpful and i have never seen them slack off at all, some people have issues with the place being a bit full ( if you come from 10am-3pm on monday-Wednesday you will have the time of your live ) as always if your new and never done any type of sports of the category please wear protection, knee pads and gloves at least, thank you if you read all and agree with me

I really love this place. Its a great way to spend free time. The environment is really nice for all ages, its clean, its fun, its safe. The people that work there is amazing. They are very honest too. Last time I went, I accidentially left my wallet, I called the next day and it was there with everything on it. I think that is really amazing. Pretty sure that it wouldnt be the same story somewhere else. I recommend this place to everybody. Enjoy it!

Horrible experience with an instructor named Cissy she was so rude to my 8 year old son just for trying on skate guards she publicly embarrassed him and myself to the point where he cried and we left just 20 minutes in. She saw he was struggling and trying hard she could have used that to encourage him instead she chose to skate over with 3 other kids and embarrass him and scold him to boot. Do not leave your kids unattended here.

Worst rink I have ever skated in. the place is really dirty and not taken care of. The owner is really mean.Not to even talk about the way she treated me a girl who is 13 years old.She screamed at me and told me to get my skates and get out of the Arena that she doesnt want me there.She treats me and my mom in the worst way possible and the Arena isnt even the best place. They dont treat the figures skater good.Honestly if you want to go skating to take your daughters/sons or friends go to Panthers Iceden or Pines Arena because unlike Kendall they are treat you like a real customer

Fun place to go ice skating in FL. However they do noy have any walkers for kids or actual rails for them to hold on to. The ice could be better kept too.

I got a Groupon to go here with my husband. We had not been there in years and figured it would be a fun date. The place is dingy. The bathroom wasnt the greatest. No soap, no toilet paper. Missing toilet lid (at least in the stall i went to first). The walls are completely disgusting. We were there for about 2 hours and was mostly because of the kids in the figure skating competition. Which were all great! Its such a shame bc the place has so much potential. The skating part was great, just not the conditions of the place. I am definitely disappointed. Hope they take it into consideration and give it a little TLC.

It stole my tokens and then did not give me my tokens then she asked me to sue her so I brought n my lawyer in training and the lady refused to listen to my lawyer in practice argument so I could not press charges and the lady at the front desk was very harsh and mean to me. The Staff are nice if you respect them and the little shop they have for Equipment is well put together and the ice doesnt get full of people from time to time.

I love this place! not. where do i start? first off the ice is more like concrete. i have a enormous bruse on my knees and elbows because you have ratchet people in there that like to skate around and trip people. i go into a huge fight with some big woman that didnt know how to skate and tripped me i shouldve knocked her butt over.

The Staff is amazing. Always willing to help you. My son and the whole family we LOVE going there.

A really fun place to go to but I feel like this should upgrade their skates because I get blisters on my feet even putting on many layers of socks, but other than that, youll have a blast!

I just went back during my spring break (March 13th) and was surprised by how much business they still get! They were full on gutting and remodeling the snacks when I was there. The rental skates are uncomfortable but thats just because Im fat. Im saving up for Figure Skates in the winter. Until then I might make this my place to work out and hang out. :)

The worst rink I have ever seen in my life. The rink is in the worst condition, the rentals are uncomfortable, and the owner is the worst person you will ever meet. She screamed at my daughter because she didnt pay for public and she was going to give her the money.This Ice arena have no respect to skaters and parents. Kendall ice arena is not a good place for people you want to start figure skating or hockey either. If you want to take your daughter or your friend to a rink, go to panthers or pines because unlike kendall they will treat you like a real customer.

It is sertainly the best place for ice skating I was a student in training in ice skating and now I am in level 9, it is sertainly the best place ever the teachers are AWESOME the are very nice.

Great place to get together with friends, Ive been there a bunch of times. It usually is rather full and the food isnt that good but the place is very nice overall.

I was reading the comments here. Horrible English by the way and agreed on the pigs living there but they are the costumers. I have seen parents discussing stupid political situations about their countries when their kids are destroying the place leaving piles of trash behind them showing no respect for others. If the costumers behave like that do not expect the employees will treat you kindly when you are not respecting them. Respect to demand respect.

This place is disgusting and the ice is in really bad shape. Super melty even after the zamboni resurfaced it. I took my family here and lasted 15 minutes before we left. Will never visit again.

Horrible place, their customer service is crap, they treat everyone like children, many of the employees cant even speak english. very rude personnel, the only reason this place is still in business is because theyre the only ice arena in the area... so they think they can treat you however they want because if you wanna skate, you have no choice but to go there

The rental skates are horrible! No padding on the inside. If they would just upgrade the skates it would be so much better.
