Course is in overall good shape, greens are nice and fast. Very well kept and clean.
Course has improved tremendously since the new owners have taken over and improved the conditions. Greens and fairways are in really nice shape. Tee boxes need work to improve their conditions, too many uneven areas in the teeboxes. Really happy how my neighborhood course has improved. Staff was great!
Grass is nice and thick. Staff was courteous and had a great time getting back into my short game today. Thanks for helping me get one step farther away from quarentine life!
Out of carts. Waited well past tee time. Only.golf club in Miami still only allowing 1 person per cart.
I preference this review with the fact that I am a member at Trump Doral where the courses are always in pristine condition. For the money you cant beat Killian Greens. Some of the tee boxes and fairways could use some TLC but in and around the greens is fine. The recent renovations while not evident to me were evident to those in our group who had played the course before. The course is fun and challenging and with some very interesting par 4 and 5s that dog leg leaving you to manage your drive and 2nd shot closely. If you like to try new tracks you should try this one.
Solid practice course, greens have improved over the years
Place in better shape then it has ever been during my golf tenure. Thank you
Great management! Course is looking better than ever!
Good public course. Conditions have improved in the past couple years. They need to get GHIN accredited to become legitimate.
Me and a group of friends went to play behind the restaurant, then some guy claiming to be a manager came and said he was gonna call the cops on us and tow our cars, very disrespectful and aggressive,I will never go back there
Under new management, but not golfer friendly. Paid $50 for a very average course. Play yesterday and was washed out. No raincheck or accommodation. Plenty of other courses to play. I do not recommend this course.
Hands down, the Worst golf course in all of Miami.
Not the best maintained course, but its cheap. Pace of play often leads to a frustrating experience.
Great Course in South Miami. Great staff and new golf carts with a new restaurant. Would definitely play here again. Great course to hold a golf tournament!
Very fun & easy course, very forgiving green.......great for beginners
For $50 I expect a better course. I was pleasantly surprised when I hit a shot into the bunker and the ball skipped right out. The greens were very patchy and slow. Luckily it was not busy so we played at a good pace and had a great time.
Called 3 times no response. Has anyone heard of theis courses status?
Nice course to relax and play
Grass in fairways is dead and hard, you can’t take divots because your club will just bounce back off the ground . The greens are nice but really slow because they grow the grass long . Played June 2nd and paid winter rates on a 90 degree day. Owner says they are trying to hard to fix the course but the blue teee box on 7 and 11 has been a disaster for years.
Great course for the price.
This course has improved dramatically since the new owners took over. The effort they have put in is noticeable and continues to be so.The restaurant is NOW a restaurant with a bar offering good food with good service.
Love this course! The staff is very friendly and the course is maintained well. Great location too.
All of the staff are so wonderful and helpful! The course is also kept really well!
Great staff and course! Always have a great time.
Fairways dried out and in a terrible shape, gras on the greens very good, but there are slow and not challenging. Also not very intrresting is the layout of the course.Even for the twilight rate not worth playing threre, in my opinion.I have played far more better courses here.
It has improved tremendously under new ownership. The restaurant is a great place to eat and the Golf Carts are brand new. Cant beat the pricing either. Will continue to golf here.
I play here pretty frequently, and will continue to despite a love/hate relationship with this place. The conditions are pretty poor, and theres no range, but its cheap. The greens are very inconsistent and some are filled with patches. The sands are also inconsistent and some are hard as concrete. On the 18th hole, its a par 5, there are some sand traps about 300 yards out on the right, that are literally covered in weeds. They arent even just concrete-hard like some of the other sand traps, but are COVERED in weeds and roots. Its comically sad actually.EDIT: Place is under new management since I wrote this and is MUCH MORE well maintained than it used to be. Probably should be 4.5 stars but I rounded up to 5 starts because its an unbeatable price for 18 holes.
I love playing at Killian. And now that its Under New Management the course is much better kept and the new owners are really great people.
The greens were very inconsitent some greens were mowed others werent some needed seed to many bare spots. All general golf courses in Florida out charge there condition. This course is a $28.00 / 18 hole round play and know more.
Service and all employees where amazing. Actual golf course needs work, bad boxes and very inconsistent greens. Rental clubs where good.
Can i be able to pay for just 9 hole course? If so How much?
Much improved. If you have memories of this course from 2-3 years ago, throw them away. New management has emphasized and really upgraded the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Even some of the back nine greens that have been problematic for 40+ years due to cantankerous locals are in smooth green playable shape. Several dense areas alongside fairways have been cleared out for the first time ever. For example, an errant left shot toward the third green is actually findable. The golf carts no longer require a key, and they dont stall and strand you on the course any more. This course has several signature large trees like center fairway 5, center fairway 9, and right side fairway 13. Those holes really would have been altered if Hurricane Irma had wiped away those trees. Fortunately it didnt happen. With golf declining in emphasis and participation all over the country, and this citys demographics making the problem even more acute, its great to report positive news for a change. The course is not back to its Crooked Creek prime but every shift is in the correct direction. They have remodeled the interior of the clubhouse and a popular local chain will soon run a restaurant/bar.Twilight rate now kicks in at 2 PM all year, instead of 3 PM during Daylight Savings Time per the previous long term regime, which meant well and had some great people involved but they wore out and understandably wanted to sell at profit and move on after 20+ years.I still have some nitpicks. All greenside sand traps now actually have sand in them, but overall its not enough. Youll get a bounce and flyer if you try to play the shots normally. The ball washers on this course used to be one of its best features, as stupid as that sounds. Now they have let some of them go. For example, the washer at the 14th tee has lacked a handle for more than a year. That is ridiculous.
The worst golf course I’ve been to. No-where-near-friendly staff. Greens are all messed up. Terrible up-keep. Over priced for no reason. Costa del Sol is a better course for the price.
High season in FL; Greens fee with cart was $48 w/ tip. This course was embarrassing. Burned up; greens have 10 different kinds of weeds; tee boxes were brown - my front lawn looks better than the fairways. Other than the fact it has flags - you would think you were playing golf on someones farm. Im not a golf snob - I play public courses. Unless you completely STINK at golf (115+) and just want to knock some range balls around a course, dont bother.
Great place to go out in practice but the course is in rough shape. But for $30 for 18 holes and cart rental you cant go wrong.
Course was in ok shape, the greens were in very good shape. Had to rent clubs from them. They have a sign for new club rental but the clubs I got were a mix bag of old beat up clubs without a driver. I would play it again with my own set.
A great local coarse. Not a lot of fancy things that you do not need. Just plain old fashioned golf.
They have FOOTGOLF here. Try it out if you like soccer... Its a lot of fun.
There is no ranger, no starter, people just start their game as they come. No respect for tee times. Just dont come here. The $5 or $7 dollars you will save is not worth ir.
Nice golf course. They also offer Foot Golf!
Great relaxing course.. been looking better and better as of late..
Had a good round. Greens need to be cut.
Excellent
Killian Greens Golf Clubhad a fun time
Greens are great
Worst course in Miami, The staff should be working in a grocery store, theres no starter and the do have a ranger which declare himself unable to handle the course and less the tee times!!!!!
No starter in field
Falta mucho mantenimiento y atención
